The Influence of Chinese Culture Towards Female Masculinity In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Film (2021)
No full textThis research aims to find out the characterization of the main femalecharacter and how the character represents female masculinity in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Researcher analyzed the film through thescoop of Chinese culture, with the help of female masculinity theory by JudithHalberstam and Character and Characterization by M. Boggs and Petrie. To find theresearch findings, the researcher used a qualitative method with descriptiveanalysis. The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings films dialogue text andpicture scene footage were used as the data. In the characterization analysis, it wasfound that Xialing has the characteristics of being independent, strong, calm,forgiving, caring and ambitious. The value of masculinity in Xialing is influencedby Chinese culture, she is characterized by the elements of power, courage, heroism,and leadership. In line with Judith Halberstam's theory of female masculinity(1998), which says that female masculinity refers to a woman's body that displaysmasculine performatives which can be seen from the way she behaves and herphysical appearance

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasanpemustaka terkait koleksi pada Perpustakaan Sekolah Bakti Idhatadalam aspek jenis koleksi dan jumlah koleksi. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis metode deskriptif.Populasi penelitian ini merupakan pemustaka Sekolah Bakti Idhata,dengan teknik quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melaluikuesioner atau angket. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa dalam segi persepsi memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 3,14 danskor rata-rata dalam segi harapan yaitu sebesar 3,21. Dengandemikian, persepsi yang dirasakan oleh pemustaka belum memenuhikinerja dari harapan yang diinginkan. Alhasil, antara persepsi danharapan para pemustaka Sekolah Bakti Idhata terjadi diskonfirmasinegatif atau ketidakpuasan terkait koleksi pada Perpustakaan SekolahBakti Idhata. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kinerja atau persepsi yangdirasakan oleh pemustaka Sekolah Bakti Idhata berada di bawahstandar atau harapan, sehingga terjadinya diskonfirmasi negatif atautidak terjadi diskonfirmasi ekspektasi

No full textThis research explores the construction of women in the Netflix Original Series: QueenCharlotte: A Bridgerton Story by analyzing Queen Charlotte's journey and the depiction of actsof resistance in gender stereotypes contained in her character throughout the revolution of herlife in the 18th century. This research aims to investigate how Queen Charlotte was constructedin the series and challenges the idea of gender stereotypes that often occur in women. Thisresearch uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Thus, this research uses CarolGilligan's concept of the act of resistance and narratology in film theory by Peter Verstraten.The finding reveals that Queen Charlotte's representation in these roles highlights her struggleagainst patriarchy, social class, and discrimination. This series tackles gender stereotypesagainst women by focusing on Queen Charlotte's act of resistance through mind and body,reason and emotion, self and relationships. Thus, it can be concluded that Queen Charlotte isdepicted as a strong and independent woman who is not defined by traditional gender roles.She is shown making important decisions for her kingdom, standing up for herself in difficultsituations, and balancing her responsibilities as a queen with her personal life. This portrayalchallenges the idea that women can only excel in one aspect of their lives, demonstrating thatthey are capable of thriving in multiple roles simultaneously

In this research, the researcher uses a qualitative method. Thedata in this research are collected through documentation techniques. Then, the datawill be analyzed using Grice's theory of conversational implicature. Based on thedata obtained, there are 20 data that contain the conversational implicature. Theresults of this research show that these data do not observe the cooperativeprinciple; the maxims of quality, quantity, relation, and manner. The violationsinclude flouting, violating, and infringing the maxims. In conclusion, theconversational implicature is generated by not observing the cooperative

Dalam penelitian ini dapat dilihat bahwasannyaIndonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang mendukung deklarasikemerdekaan Palestina tahun 1988 dan kemudian disusul dengan dibukanyaKedutaan Besar Palestina di Jakarta. Dukungan solidaritas secara langsungdan pertemuan Presiden Soeharto dengan Yasser Arafat sebagai pemimpinPLO sekaligus Presiden Palestina yang pertama. Analysis of Instinctive Human Behavior through Archetypes in The Menu (2022) Film
No full textThis research aims to analyze how the archetypes according to Carl Gustav Jung are representedin embodying behavior and underlying human experience. This research uses the archetypaltheory by Carl Gustav Jung to answer research questions regarding the embodiment of archetypesthrough human behavior, and how archetypes as a foundation in representing an identity. Theresearcher used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to find the research results. Theresearch data collected from scenes, cinematography, film dialog, and secondary research. Basedon the research discussion, this research found analytical psychology and socio-cultural lines inrevealing archetypes as an instinctive behavior that embodied human personality. The resultsshow that the American identity as an archetypal representation in The Menu underlies humancollective behavior and shapes human experience. Finally, this research shows that archetypes arethe instinctive images that underlies all human phenomena, including human behavior andexperience in survival
