S4_3 The everyday ›creative interpretation of sense‹ by religious actors
Referring to Paul Ricoeur the article examines the everyday ›creative interpretation of sense‹ by religious actors. The interviewed persons manifested themselves as critical towards current economic problems and the capitalism as whole. Due to the differences regarding the muslim and christian translating effords the author establishes first hypotheses respective the consequences of structural divergency on interpreting practices
PC_1 Anonymous dance as a decolonizing practice. An embodied research attempt.
The essay explores how anonymous dance can be used to produce, question, and experience knowledge about the body, self, and other. To this end, the concept of embodied research is being applied. Here, dance is not only understood as research subject, but as research method. Dancing is research. To this end, reference will be made to three different Movement Research Workshops: Blind Contact Dance, Dark-Room Contact Improvisation and Embodied Rebellion (becoming uncivilized). With respect to these three workshops, different interpretations of the role of anonymity in dance are being contrasted. Anonymity as self-discovery, anonymity as deconstruction and anonymity as embodied rebellion. The idea of anonymous dance as rebellion will be discussed in more detail in conclusion, because the rebellion at stake here is of ethico-political significance in that it is directed against feelings of shame, which are understood to be result and catalyst of heteronormative and as well as (post)colonial regimes of oppression

What does it mean to be part of fandom? What are the implications of being part of one in Latin America, in this new decade of the 21st century? To answer these questions, in this article we analyze the characteristics of a particular fandom: the one formed by Harry Potter fans in Argentina. More than twenty years after the publication of the first book in this British series, we are interested in how the local fan thinks and “constructs” him/herself, not only in their singularity but also as part of a community. To do this, our analysis focuses on the largest fan convention in the country: the Magic Meeting. Through an ethnographic approach, we describe an event in which fans exchange knowledge, experience and productions around their hobby to help show the ways in which culture is produced, circulated and consumed in Argentina in a globalized and digital world.¿Qué supone ser parte de un fandom?

S02_1 Global local - Scaling Networks in the Catholic Milieu from "Heidenmission" to Solidarity
Since the mid-19th century, the idea of the so called heathen mission has attracted thousands of enthusiastic followers actively working as members of missionary orders all over the world. On the basis of biographical sources translocal interconnections are being explored in this article with a focus on the Oldenburger Münsterland and exemplarily questioned as to their significance
S6_1 In the planetarium of the 1920s
In the planetarium of the 1920s, a world arose, in which science and technology played a central role. This article focuses on the question of the relationships between people, knowledge and worlds that unfolded there. Moreover, it explorers the emotion of wonder that can be identified as a core of the planetarium experience. I understand wondering as an aesthetic-epistemic experience with transgressive effects, in which possible worlds appear and promise creative freedom
