Inventarisasi Jenis-jenis Amfibi (Ordo Anura) di Areal Lahan Basah Sekitar Danau Sebedang Kecamatan Sebawi Kabupaten Sambas
The Order Anura are members of Amphibians that live in various types of habitats such as terrestrial, aquatic, arboreal and fossorial. This research aims to find out the species of the members of the Order Anura found in the area. Sampling was carried out in April 2015, using the visual encounter survey method combined with the line transect. The transects were made at 6 stations with different environmental settings. The species of the members of the Order Anura found in the wetland area around Sebedang Lake were as many as 10 speciesbelonging to 5 families, namely Dicroglossidae (Fejervarya cancrivora, F. limnocharis, Limnonectes ibonarum and L. paramacrodon), Ranidae (Hylarana erythraea, H. baramica and H. nicobariensis), Megophrydae (Leptobrachium abboti), Microhylidae (Kaloula pulchra) and Bufonidae (Duttaprhynusmelanostictus). Members of the Order Anura the most found in species L. limnocharis as many as 28 individuals and the lowest to a species L. paramacrodon such as 1 individual
Uji Bioaktivitas Fraksi Metanol dan Etil Asetat Tumbuhan Paku Sisik Naga (Drymoglossum piloselloides (L) pressl.) Terhadap Bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Salmonella typhi
Staphylococcus aureus is a pathogenic bacterium that causes infection to wound, and Salmonella typhi is a bacterium that causes typhoid. The dragon scales (Drymoglossum piloselloides) is one of the plants that can potentially serve as an antibacterial agent. This research aims to find out the class of compound of secondary metabolites and the antibacterial activities of methanol and ethyl acetate fractions of the dragon scales against S. aureus and S. typhi bacteria. The study was conducted for 3 months with a disc diffusion method (Kirbybauer). The concentrations of methanol and ethyl acetate fractions of the dragon scales used in this research were 0,25 g/mL, 0,3 g/mL, 0,35 g/mL, ciprofloxasin 0.005 mg/mL as a positive control and DMSO 10% as a negative control. Research findings showed that the methanol and ethyl acetate fraction contained flavonoidand terpenoid compounds. The methanol fraction of the dragon scales had antibacterial activity against S. aureus bacterium with a strong response at a concentration of 0.25 g/mL while the ethyl acetate fraction had no antibacterial activity against S. aureus and S. typhi bacteria

The reduced in the area of mangrove forests are feared will cause a decrease of wildlife that exists, one of which is a water birds. This research aims to find out the species of water birds in mangrove forest Mutusan River, Subdistrict of Paloh. This research was carried out during the three months from February to April2015. The data species of water birds are collected using IPA (Index Point of Abundance) method. The number of water birds species found throughout the research area as many as 19 species in 8 families. We are found a high species are found in family Ardeidae i.e Ardeola bacchus, Butorides striatus, Egretta alba, E. garzetta, E. sacra
Pertumbuhan Secara In VitroTunas Buah Naga Merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus [Weber] Britton & Rose) Dengan Penambahan Naftalene Acetic Acid (NAA) Dan Air Kelapa
The growth of purple pitaya shoot in tissue culture is influenced by many factors, among others, the composition of growth media and growth regulators used. This research aimed to find out the effect of adding coconut water and Naftalene Acetic Acid (NAA) as well as the best concentration for the growth of purple pitaya (H. polyrhizus). This research was carried out for 5 months from March to August 2015 at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture of the Aloe Vera Center (AVC), Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Agribusiness Pontianak. This rsearch used a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with 2 factors of treatment. The first factor of NAA at concentrations of (N0), 10-6M (N1), 5X10-7M (N2), 10-7M (N3), and the second factor of coconut water at concentrations of 0% (K0), 10% (K1), 15% (K2), and 20% (K3). The research findings indicated that the single addition of coconut water at a concentration of 20% encouraged the fastest appearance of shoots, i.e. 19.25 days, the highest number of shoots with an average of 6.83 shoots and the longest shoots with an average of 3.30 cm

The Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi are a mutualistic symbiosis between the fungi and the plant root. The VAM fungi are capable of improving the plant growth. Information on the types of the MVA fungi on the roots of the langsat (L. domesticum) in peatsoil is yet to be known. This research aimed to find out the types of the MVA fungi and the level of infection on the roots of langsat (L. domesticum). The research was carried our at the Laboratory of Microbiology of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University from February to April 2015. The analysis of soil samples were conducted in the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. The isolation of soil samples used the wet-sieving and decanting technique followed by the centrifugation technique. The research found a total of 232 spores of MVA fungi, consisting of the genera Glomus (10 types), Paraglomus (3 types) and Acaulospora (3 types). The results of observation on the root preparations found the structures of MVA fungi such as spores, hyphae and vesicles with the percentage of root infection at 41%, which fell into to the intermediate category
Jamur yang diisolasi dari Daun dan Batang Bergejala Sakit pada Tanaman Karet (HeveabrasiliensisMuell.Arg.) di Kabupaten Sanggau
The rubber tree(Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg.) at a certain age can be attacked by diseases caused by fungi. The symptoms of the disease may be form blackish brown spots on the stems, blackish white patches on the petiole, the tip of the leaf wrinkled, etc. This research aimed to find out the types of fungi isolated from the leaves and stems with symptoms of disease on the rubber tree at different age levels. The samples were taken using a cruise method based on the age level i.e. 0-9 months old, 2-5 years old, and > 5 years old. The research findings indicated that there were seven types of fungi found i.e. Fusarium V1, Colletotrichum V2, Phytophthora V3, Aspergillus V4, Penicillium V5, Mucor V6 and Chrysonilia V7. The leaves aged 0-9 months old the fungi found were Colletotrichum V2, Phytophthora V3, and Penicillium V5; on the leaves aged 2-5 years old i.e. Phytophthora V3 and Aspergillus V4; and at age > 5 years old, Fusarium V1, Phytophthora V3, Mucor V6 and Chrysonilia V7 were found on the stem organ
Inventarisasi Jenis-Jenis Mangrove yang Ditemukan di Kawasan Tanjung Bila Kecamatan Pemangkat Kabupaten Sambas
Mangrove is a community of tropical coastal plants dominated by several species of trees with shrubs that have the ability to grow in coastal areas. The purpose of this research is to know various kind of mangroves which located in Tanjung Bila area. The research were done for 4 month start from February until May 2016 in Tanjung Bila Pemangkat region Sambas regency. The data of mangrove vegetation were collected using the transect line plot method. There were 8 species of mangroves found in Tanjung Bila area and classified into 5 family i.e. Avicennia marina, Avicennia alba (Avicenniaceae), Bruguiera cylindrica, Rhizophora apiculata (Rhizophoraceae), Sonneratia caseolaris (Sonneratiaceae), Acanthus ilicifolius, Acanthus volubilis (Acanthaceae) dan Acrostichum speciosum (Pteridaceae)
Pertumbuhan In Vitro Biji Buah Naga Merah (Hylocereus polyrhizusWebb. Britton &Rose ) dengan Penambahan Air Kelapa dan Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA)
The dragon fruit, also known as the red pitaya, (Hylocereus polyrhizus Webb. Britton & Rose) is one of the plants which can easily be cultivated in Indonesia. Seed multiplication through the in vitro tissue culture technology is the right alternative for supplying seedlings in a large number and in a relatively short time. This research aimed to find out the effect of adding coconut water and NAA, as well as to find out the most optimal concentrations of coconut water and NAA for the growth of the dragon fruit (H. polyrhizus) on the in vitro culture medium. This research was carried out for five months from January to May 2015 at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture of the Aloe Vera Center Pontianak. The experiment used the Completely Randomized Factorial Design with 2 treatments. The first factor was the coconut water with concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and the second factor was the NAA with concentrations of 0 M, 5.10-6 M, 10-6 M, 10-7 M. The research findings showed that the addition of coconut water and NAA had an effect on the height growth of the dragon fruit (H. polyrhizus) especially at low concentrations, i.e. 5% of coconut water, 10-7 of NAA, and a combination of both at concentrations of 10% coconut water and 10-6 NAA
Keragaman Jenis Burung Air Di Kawasan Hutan Mangrove Primer Dan Hutan Mangrove Hasil Reboisasi Di Kabupaten Mempawah
Waterbird is a key species (keytone species) that can be used as one of the decisive criteria for the condition of a wetland. This study aims to determine differences in the types and degree of diversity of waterbird in the area of primary mangrove forests and reforestation mangrove. This study uses the encounter rate method (meeting level). Waterbird that found are documented and identified directly in the field. Observations at both locations was found 17 species of waterbird are included in 5 families (Alcedinidae, Ardeidae, Rallidae, Scolopacidae and Sternidae). Waterbird from Sternidae family are the most found waterbird. Diversity index of waterbird species in primary mangrove forest Desa Peniti Kecil H'= 2.1388 is higher than reforestation mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau Kecil H' = 1.8692, both of them included in the medium category. Based on the results of the calculation of the t-test (2.9713> 1.97) both sites have a significantly different level of diversity. Dominance index and evenness index were obtained in primary mangrove forest Desa Peniti Kecil is D = 0.1360, E = 0.8338 and reforestation mangrove is D = 0.2160, E = 0.7522 indicates both locations observations no waterbird which extremely dominates and the number of individuals in observation locations almost spread evenly
Jenis-Jenis Paku Epifit di Hutan Desa Beginjan Kecamatan Tayan Hilir Kabupaten Sanggau
Ferns have an important role in nutrient recycling at the communities and structure of the forest. The epiphytic fern is a small group of plants which is typical of a tropical rainforest. This research aimed to find out the types of epiphytic ferns in the forest of Beginjan Village, Tayan Hilir Sub-district, Sanggau Regency. The research was conducted from July 2014 to October 2014 in the forest area of Beginjan Village, Tayan Hilir Sub-district, Sanggau Regency. The samples were taken through the cruise sampling method. The results of this reserach discovered 14 species of epiphytic ferns consisting of 1 Class Polypodiopsida and 6 families. The Polypodiaceae was the most commonly found family followed by the Families Davalliaceae, Nephrolepidaceae, Aspleniaceae, Hymenophyllaceae, and Pteridaceae
