    North Sumatra Province is one of the provinces that has the highest incidence of dengue fever in Indonesia, Binjai City has dengue incidence and even death cases in North Sumatra Province. Community knowledge and motivation are essential to support dengue prevention measures in Binjai City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge and motivation on community action in the prevention of dengue fever in Cengkeh Turi Village, Binjai Utara District, Binjai City. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study was 66 people. Data analysis used the Chi-square test and Prevalent Rate (PR). The results of this study indicate that the chi-square analysis shows that there is a relationship between knowledge (p <0.001) and motivation (p <0.001) with dengue prevention measures (p <0.001) in Cengkeh Turi Village. People who have high motivation have a risk of taking preventive measures for DHF by 5,750 times compared to people who have low motivation. Puskesmas officers in Cengkeh Turi Village, Binjai Utara District expected to make an effort to approach local community groups such as recitation groups and youth groups in increasing community motivation in taking dengue prevention measures

    Piyungan landfill is a waste final processing site that is still active now. Waste in the Piyungan landfill produces hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3) gases. The gas comes from the anaerobic decomposition of waste by microorganisms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the health risks of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia exposure in the community at Piyungan landfill. This study was descriptive research and used quantitative analysis. The research design was cross-sectional with the environmental health risk analysis approach. The research sample is the people of Ngablak hamlet, which live in a zone of ± 600 meters from the Piyungan landfill. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, and the sample size was 59 people. The results showed that the risk level (RQ) of hydrogen sulfide was 1.2163 (RQ > 1), while the ammonia level was 0.0203 (RQ ≤ 1). Based on these results, the level of risk due to exposure to hydrogen sulfide is said to be unsafe. However, exposure to ammonia is said to be safe or not at risk of causing health problems in the community. Gas tersebut berasal dari pembusukan sampah secara anaerob oleh mikroorganisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis risiko kesehatan lingkungan paparan gas hidrogen sulfida dan amonia pada masyarakat di lingkungan TPA Piyungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. Rancangan penelitian yaitu cross-sectional dengan pendekatan Analisis Risiko Kesehatan Lingkungan. Sampel penelitian yaitu masyarakat Dusun Ngablak yang tinggal pada zona ± 600 meter dari TPA Piyungan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 59 orang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat risiko (RQ) hidrogen sulfida yaitu 1,2163 (RQ > 1), sedangkan amonia yaitu 0,0203 (RQ ≤ 1). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut tingkat risiko akibat paparan hidrogen sulfida dikatakan tidak aman. Namun, untuk paparan amonia dikatakan aman atau tidak berisiko menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan pada masyarakat. Penelitian diharapkan berguna untuk memperbaiki sistem pengelolaan sampah di TPA Piyungan dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mengolah sampah.     Composting is a method of processing organic waste using the help of microorganisms to produce compost products. Compost quality must comply with SNI 19-7030-2004 so that it is safe to use for soil. The composting process can occur aerobically or anaerobically. Aerobic composting is composting with the help of aerobic microorganisms in sufficient oxygen conditions. While anaerobic composting is composting using the help of anaerobic microorganisms in conditions without oxygen. Windrow composting, brick bin composting, and vermicomposting are types of aerobic composting that are suitable for MRF (TPST) scale. Comparison test was conducted to determine the best composting method for TPST Banjarbendo. The comparisons made include parameters of pH, temperature, C-organic, N-total, C/N ratio, and the percentage of organic waste reduction. The composting method was chosen based on the results of the tests carried out on the compost product from the three composting methods.The best composting method is hollow brick composting which has a temperature of 27°C, C-organic 10.21, N-total 0.87, C/N ratio 11.74, and percentage reduction is 65,2%.Pengomposan merupakan metode pengolahan sampah organik dengan menggunakan bantuan mikroorganisme sehingga menghasilkan produk kompos. Kualitas kompos harus memenuhi persyaratan SNI 19-7030-2004 supaya aman digunakan untuk tanah. Proses pengomposan dapat terjadi secara aerob maupun anaerob. Pengomposan aerob merupakan pengomposan dengan menggunakan bantuan mikroorganisme aerobik pada kondisi oksigen yang cukup. Sedangkan pengomposan anaerob merupakan pengomposan dengan menggunakan bantuan mikroorganisme anaerob pada kondisi tanpa oksigen. Pengomposan windrow, pengomposan bata berongga, dan vermikomposting merupakan jenis pengomposan secara aerob yang cocok digunakan untuk skala Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST). Uji perbandingan dilakukan untuk mengetahui metode pengomposan paling baik untuk diterapkan di TPST Banjarbendo. Perbandingan yang dilakukan meliputi parameter pH, suhu, C-organik, N-total, rasio C/N, dan persentase reduksi sampah organik. Metode pengomposan dipilih berdasarkan hasil uji yang dilakukan terhadap produk kompos dari ketiga metode pengomposan. Pengomposan yang paling baik adalah pengomposan metode bata berongga yang memiliki suhu 27°C, C-organik 10,21, N-total 0,87, rasio C/N 11,74, dan persentase reduksi sebesar 65,2%

    Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of the musculoskeletal disorders, psychological disorders and the result of wrong mobilization. LBP is one of the most common health problems in the industrial community, one of which is Payet Craftsmen. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age and work position with LBP complaints on Halidah Sequin Craftsmen in Cempaka Sub-District. Analytical research design with approach cross sectional. The sample in this study were workers who met the inclusion criteria amounting to 25 people. Data analysis used chi-square test. Test results of research was the age variable is sig value 0.122 (> 0.05). meaning that there is no relationship between age variable with LBP complaints on Halidah Sequin Craftsmen in Cempaka Sub-District. While test results of research was the variable work position is a sig value of 0.022 (< 0.05). meaning that there is a relationship between work position variable and LBP complaints on Halidah Sequin Craftsmen in Cempaka Sub-District, with an Odds Ratio of 8,000 means that respondents who have high risk work positions are 8 more risk to complain of LBP compared to respondents who have moderate risk work positions

    Waste management with 3R principle is a term for waste management principle with Reduce(reducing waste pile) by reducing the use of plastic packaging and replacing it with eco-friendly package. First, reuse ( reuse items) i.g grocery bag made from cloth. Second, recylce (waste recylcing) with the principle of reusing used goods into new useful materials and minimizing the amount of waste to the environment. The purpose of this research was to analyze how the housewives  manage their household waste with 3R principle in RT 04 Kelurahan Tenun.  The method used in this research was qualitative with phenomenology approach. The informants were housewives, head of RT, and sanitarians of public health center. Then the data analysis used source triangulation techniques. The result showed that the people had not implemented the 3R principle of waste management maximally.     Aedes aegypti mosquito is a type of mosquito that can carry dengue virus which causes dengue fever (DHF). Dengue transmission can be reduced by vector control to reduce the population of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, namely by reducing larval growth. Eradication can be done by giving environmentally friendly plant larvaside. Plants that have the potential as vegetable larvasides are papaya leaves (Carica papaya).. The type of research used is true experiments. The study design uses an e-simple design (post-test only control group design). The population and sample were 3 Aedes aegypti instar larvae obtained in the Banjarbaru region. With a total of 600 tails. With variations in concentration of 0% (control), 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, and 14% with 4 repetitions at each concentration. then observed the number of larvae that died for 24 hours.Based on the results of research conducted for 24 hours with papaya leaf larvasidehighest concentration14% / 100 ml of water can kill larvae as much as 96% with an average death of 24 animals.     The construction sector plays an important role in a country's economy. This is because construction projects such as the construction of buildings, roads, bridges and other infrastructure are one of the benchmarks of economic progress and civilization of a country. Work accidents on construction projects can cause work to stop and result in financial losses and decreased work productivity. According to the Minister of Manpower in 2018 the number of work accidents has increased from the previous year even from the data of the Central Statistics Agency stating that the majority of construction workers are junior high school graduates and below. This is one of the factors causing the increase in occupational accidents in the construction sector. Losses from work accidents are also included in workers' losses, damage to equipment and materials wasted due to work accidents. Occupational health and safety (K3) risk control is very important as a preventive effort to prevent a bigger event. One such control is the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or more commonly called personal protective equipment (PPE). The existence of PPE is important for workers to minimize the impact of accidents so that each company is obliged to use PPE. This study aims to minimize the number of work accidents in Indonesia, especially in the construction sector. The method used in making the body vest is the addition of an airbag by applying the fall detection algorithm to the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), which is to calculate the Euclidean distance which is the distance between the sample and training data and then determine the k nearest data from the sample so that the sample can be classified on the sensor and microcontroller. The way it works is when a collision or a hard collision occurs, workers will generally be thrown or dropped then there will be a change in the acceleration of the position of the body wearing a body vest. The change in acceleration triggers the development of airbags on the body vest. This is expected to reduce injuries to vital organs in the worker's body

    This type of research is experimental in nature by conducting experiments with variations in the dose of banana skin kepok. The study design used was a pre test - post test control group. Data analysis uses one way Anova statistical test with α = 0.05. The population in this study was all dug well water in the working area of the Cempaka Banjarbaru Inpatient Health Center in 2020. The results of the analysis of Manganese (Mn) decreased after treatment in each dose variation, the dose of banana peel 5 mg can reduce levels of Manganese (Mn) by 6.1% while the variation of the 25 mg dose can reduce the levels of Manganese (Mn) by 83.1 %. Based on the Anova One Way statistical test results there was no significant decrease in the value of p value (0.761)> α value (0.05).
