Unique challenges for mental health in inpatient settings Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic: perspective from Sabah
COVID-19 has impacted the world in many ways due to fears of contracting the pandemic, social distancing, and large-scale movement control rules. These have especially grave consequences for inpatient psychiatry. This article reviews measures taken to adapt to the new norm in inpatient care, both for standalone psychiatry units and consultation-liaison units. For inpatient units, changes have been made for personal protective equipment usage, screening and triaging policies, and training and educational policies. Consultation liaison units together with inpatient units have been required to expand the scope of coverage and difficulties by providing certain teleconsultation services. As the new norm takes precedence, Sabah has to embrace and empower community-based psychiatry services for better outreach and coverage. Introduction: The current COVID-19 pandemic has sequelae reverberating around Malaysia, particularly in university students, as Malaysian university students are isolated in their university campuses in semi-quarantine status. This article seeks to review the existing literature on the specialized issue of university student-related psychological sequelae of COVID-19, and seeks to offer some recommendations through the process.
Methods: Existing literature demonstrates that COVID-19 has affected university students psychosocially, with the rate of anxiety and depression markedly increased. There have been significant alterations of lifestyle related to education, in accordance with the new normal, resulting in isolation and feelings of disengagement with education. Moreover, with the current uncertainties regarding their studies and possible financial depression postpandemic, the future is deeply worrying and will adversely affect their mental health.

Improvement of the results of finite element method in plate analysis using mesh sizing modifying function
Inthefiniteelementmethods(FEM),themeshdimension,andthenumberofelementscanimpactonthe responses of structures. In this paper, a procedure is proposed to modify the stiffness matric of the plate element based on the mesh geometry and mesh size for reducing the central deflection error. The procedure is based on the recentplateformulationcalledTTK9S6.Forthispurpose,themodifyingcoefficientsaredefinedforthebendingand shearstiffnessmatrices.Thesensitivityofcoefficientsisinvestigatedconsideringthechangesinthethicknessofthe plate element, the mesh dimension, and also the type of supports. The analysis results prove that the values of the bending coefficient are more effective in comparison to the shear coefficient. Finally, a function is proposed to determine the bending and shear matric coefficients based on the values of the exact displacements. Various numerical studies indicate that the modifying function has significantly improved the performance of the plate element, especially for the plates with irregular and large mesh dimensions

Perceived challenges towards Education 4.0 implementation among academicians: A preliminary analysis
The Industrial Revolution caused major changes in the economy and advancement in technology. Specifically, IR4.0 stimulates the development of Education 4.0, in which the use of information, internet and technology become part of the teaching and learning process allowing students to learn at any time through digital platforms. Promoting for Education 4.0 involved challenges particularly constant changes in the teaching and learning techniques, and the facilities to cater to the technology demands. This study attempts to assess perceived challenges towards Education 4.0 implementation among the academicians at a comprehensive university and to explore the relationship between gender and perceived challenges among them. Based on purposive sampling, online questionnaires were distributed via google form to a population of 352 academicians in the selected comprehensive university. Data gathered from 127 responses were analysed using SPSS. The findings indicate the majority of the respondents perceived IT infrastructure as the main challenge, while the skills of individuals are the least challenges towards Education 4.0 implementation. However, there is no evidence of a significant association between gender and any of the perceived challenges items. Thus, regardless of male or female academicians, they have a similar perception of the challenges towards Education 4.0 implementation. The findings assist the Education 4.0 stakeholders to look into those perceived challenges and take necessary actions such as increasing budget allocation for IT facilities, as a support towards the success of Education 4.0 implementation. Future research may be undertaken to examine more specific infrastructure challenges in implementing education 4.0 at other comprehensive universities as well as at research universities and focused universities
On the robust parameter estimation method for linear model with autocorrelated errors in the presence of high leverage points and outliers in the Y-direction
In the existence of autocorrelation problem, the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimates become incompetent. The Cochrane - Orcutt Prais - Winsten iterative method (COPW) is the most widely used remedial measure to rectify this problem. However, this iterative procedure is based on the OLS estimates, which is not resistant and easily influenced by high leverage points (outliers in the x-direction) and outliers in the y-direction. The COPW based on MM estimator is developed to remedy both problems of autocorrelation and high leverage points. Nevertheless, MM estimator does not perform well in the presence of bad lever- age points. In this paper, we propose to improvise the Cochrane-Orcutt Prais-Winsten iterative method based on GM6 estimator so that autocorrelated errors and high leverage points can be recti ed. The performance of the COPW-GM6 is scrutinized widely by Monte Carlo simulation and real example. The results of this study show that the COPW-GM6 is more efficient than the COPW and COPW-MM
Polymorphisms of CYP1A1 Genes and its correlation with clinical variant of Pterygium
Background and Objective: CYP1A1 gene, which has role in carcinogenic metabolisms, is also detected in pterygium tissue. The aim of the study isto determine the polymorphisms of CYP1A1 m2(rs1048943) and m4 (rs1799814) gene and its correlation with clinical variant of the pterygium.
Methods:DNA isolation was performed from blood sample of 80 pterygium patients consisting of 40inflammatory and 40non-inflammatory pterygium.Genotyping ofrs1048943 SNP A-G(m2) in the CYP1A1 gene was performed using Alel SpecificPolymerase Chain reaction(AS-PCR) and rs1048943) SNP Genotypingwas performed using PCR. Polymorphism results are characterized as wild type (AA), mutant homozygote (GG), and mutant heterozygote(AG).
Results: CYP1A1 m2 and m4 gene polymorphism consist of wild type (AA), mutant homozygote (GG), and mutant heterozygote(AG). Both CYP1A1 m2 and m4 genes polymorphism ofboth groups of inflammatory and non-inflammatory pterygium was mostly consist of wild type polymorphism, followed by the mutant heterozygotepolymorphism.The wild type polymorphism was found to be higher in inflammatory pterygium, meanwhile the mutant heterozygote was found to be higher in non-inflammatory pterygium.
Conclusion:There were differences in CYP1A1 m2 and m4 gene polymorphismin both pterygium group, but nonehasbeen shown to bestatisticallyassociated with the clinical variant of the pterygium
