No full textThe research explores the representation of the image of Malay
female characters in two classical Malay films that were produced
during the studio era, which is Musang Berjanggut (1959) and
Tun Fatimah (1962). Through the application of the gender
concept as a performance "Gender is Performativity" by Judith
Butler, the focus of the analysis was towards two traditional main
Malay female characters, Puspawangi and Tun Fatimah. The
concept of gender as a performance was analysed through the
perspectives of custom and traditional culture of Malay society
that became an aid in forming the image of the characters and
characteristics that were analysed. The research found that both
of the main characters in the classical text that were studied were
influenced by the custom and traditional culture that maintained
the stereotype of the character and that limits the autonomy and
the domination of the traditional female within the society. The
research also found that although the custom and the traditional
Malay culture at its foundation does celebrate the nature of the
traditional woman that was seen and perceived as passive, the
pattern and the pole of the position of the characters and
characteristics in both of the films does change depending on the
situation, timeline and the background of their surroundings.
Taking everything into consideration, the women that were
studied does have the dynamic that contributes towards the
representation of the Malay women that is more progressive and
had more roles as the mover of the narrative in the film that was
studied

No full textThis study concerns competitiveness in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) performance between two different
schools in Kedah, Malaysia, focusing on Mathematics scores. There are two different schools selected
namely SMK Sungai Layar and SMK Bandar Sungai Petani. SMK Sungai Layar is a rural school while
SMK Bandar Sungai Petani is an urban school. The objectives are to determine which schools between
urban and rural schools perform better in mathematics subjects and classify students\u27 performance on
Mathematics subject using Fuzzy Logic. It is found that the performance of urban school was better than
the rural school. As for rural school, the performance was moderate. The percentage of Mathematics value
for SMK Bandar Sungai Petani is higher than SMK Sungai Layar. The number of students from an urban
school who got a good score was double from the number of students from rural schools. The results show
that the students from the urban school have excellent flexibility and reliability in Mathematics subject

No full textBitcoin spearheaded the rise of cryptocurrencies since it was first launched in 2009. The concept of bitcoin as digital currency was first published publicly in the 2008 well-known whitepaper by pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. The whitepaper outlined a self-serving peer-to-peer transaction network concept based on cryptographic proof instead of trust, allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted third party such as financial institutions. Since then, thousands of cryptocurrencies have been launched mostly through token offerings as an alternative approach of raising funds for blockchain, technology projects, and start-ups. People are holding cryptocurrencies mostly as digital asset investments. Some individuals made huge profits from buying cryptocurrencies at their initial offerings and sold later when the prices increased. Some crypto millionaires were born from such trades. However, many people lost their investment as well due to many factors. Some were due to bad investment decisions, and some fall into scams and investment programs run by dishonest people with promises of highly lucrative returns. As trading and owning cryptocurrencies are becoming common, governments and policymakers around the world are coming up with proper and comprehensive regulations for cryptocurrencies. In the context of Malaysia, in which zakat collections and distributions are of state matters, this paper discusses the implementation of zakat payment platform for cryptocurrencies at zakat institutions.
