    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of algebraic thinking in junior high school students in solving mathematical problems in terms of cognitive style (reflective and impulsive). The subjects used were class VIII B Arjasa 1 Junior High School as many as 25 children. Data collection in this study used two test questions, namely the MFFT test (Matching Familiar Figure Test), algebra test and interviews with four students representing different cognitive styles (reflective and impulsive) . In this study students who have reflective cognitive style and students who have impulsive cognitive style can fulfill five indicators of algebraic thinking, namely generalization, abstraction, analytical thinking, dynamic thinking, and modeling.   Kata Kunci: Algebraic thinking, Reflective Cognitive Style, Impulsive Cognitive Styl

    MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR LISTRIK DINAMIS MELALUI MODEL TGT DENGAN PERMAINAN CERDAS CERMAT

    Abstract: The aim of the research is to describe the implemenation of the use TGT model by applying Cerdas Cermat (Smart and Precise) Quiz to Increase the IXE SMP Negeri Sukorambi students’ learning achievement on dynamic electricity in the 2017/2018 Academic Year. Classroom Action Research was Designed by applying TGT Learning Model in Cerdas Cermat Quiz. The research steps was conducted by making small group the students at the beginning. Then, group discussion, presentation of group discussion result, and answering problems exercise. The result of  Grade IXE SMPN Sukorambi  science daily examination was still low, it was around 30%.     Abstract: Teaching and learning strategies with the jigsaw cooperative model, namely the teaching and learning process consisting of several students who are members of a group who are responsible for mastering the material being taught in the hope of transmitting it to other students / friends who are still in the group. The purpose of this study is to Improving the learning outcomes of Human Motion System Material for Class VIII G students of SMP Negeri 6 Jember using the jigsaw cooperative learning strategy. This research method uses a qualitative approach, this type of research is a type of classroom action research (PTK). Class action in this study was carried out with 2 cycles. Each cycle carried out the improvements to be achieved through the reflection stage. The results showed that by taking research subjects at SMP Negeri 6 Jember class VIII G. From the results of the test results of teaching and learning in cycle 1 obtained results with an average of 65.53% while in cycle 2 an average of 74.47%   Keywords: The essence of science learning, jigsaw cooperative models, learning outcomes

    ANALISIS PEMANFAATAN MULTIMEDIA TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP REAKSI NUKLIR MAHASISWA PADA MATAKULIAH FISIKA INTI

    One of the uses of multimedia is to explain abstract concepts that cannot be directly observed by the five senses to be more easily understood, especially related to the concept of nuclear reactions in nuclear physics courses. This research aimed to get an overview of the mastery of the concept of nuclear reactions in students who take core physics courses and get an overview of the responses of students' perceptions of learning. The method of this research was experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used in this research include the mastery test, student response questionnaire, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis of student response questionnaires about multimedia-assisted nuclear physics learning process and analysis of mastery test results of the concept of nuclear reactions in nuclear physics courses using Ngain scores. The results showed that there was an increase in mastery of the nuclear reaction concept in nuclear physics subject with score of n-gain result was 0.41 and came into medium category. The ability to master concepts includes the ability to remember, understand, apply, analyze and evaluate. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the use of multimedia can increase students’ mastery concepts of nuclear reactions concept in nuclear physics courses

    A culture is born from the local community so as to produce works that become the characteristic of the culture. This culture is rooted and develops over time. One result of cultural work is Banyuwangi solok weaving. Education appreciates local culture in order to participate in preserving through the teaching and learning process. Weaving Solok Banyuwangi can be included as a medium for student learning in schools. Mathematics is one branch of science that studies symbols with logical reasoning. So there are estimates of the mathematical elements found in the Banyuwangi solok weaving motif.     PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR

    Abstract: This study aims to improve the quality of education by making changes towards improvements to students' mathematics learning activities and outcomes by applying the Realistic Mathematics Learning model. This research was conducted in class X SMA Negeri Rambipuji in the even semester from April 19 to May 17 2016, with 32 students. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles with 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Activity data were collected through observation at each lesson and learning outcomes were obtained through tests at the end of each cycle. Based on the data analysis, it was found that student activity increased the percentage of cycle I and cycle II, namely 68% and 82%. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes increased by 61% and 89%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of a realistic mathematics learning model can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri Rambipuji on the subject of cubes and blocks for the 2017/2018 academic year.   Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Learning; Activities; Learning Outcome

    Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dari paper berjudul “Local Antimagic Vertex Coloring of a Graph†oleh Arumugam et al. mengenai pewarnaan titik dengan pelabelan sisi pada graf khusus yang bertujuan untuk menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona. Penelitian juga akan menganalisis tentang keterkaitan antara pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal dengan pewarnaan titik antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona ; Dan Menganalisis kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti menggunakan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan instrumen validasi untuk mengetahui pencapaian tingkat keterampilan berpikir tinggi. Hasilnya, ditemukan teorema baru yang membuktikan bahwa bilangan kromatik antiajaib lokal  oleh Arumugam lebih besar dibandingkan bilangan kromatik total antiajaib lokal . Dalam penelitian ini juga menghasilkan kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti

    PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN STRATEGI REACT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR MATEMATIKA

    Abstract: This research question is How do steps with REACT strategy to improve the students learning activity?. The learning impleentation with REACT strategy had threes steps which are:1) Opening, 2) Main, 3) Clossing. The result of this research showed that the students learning activities improved from cycle I to cycle II which is 18.62% from 67.00% in cycle one become 85.62% in cycle two. The other result of this research is the improved 15% which is from 75% in cycle I to 90% in cycle II. Based on the result of analysis known that using REACT strategy learning not only improve the students learning activities but also improve the student achievement. It is caused by the meaningful learning activity. So the students will well understand the concept of the learning material

    Abstract: Avocado leaves (Persea americana Mill.) historically used as a herbal medicine used to ease the expense of urine and crushed a kidney stone in the urinary tract. Avocado leaves contain sugar, d-parseit, quercetin, flavonoids, and compounds sterin. The availability of avocado leaves in the society becames a great opportunity to be utilized as a herbal medicine, it is unknown yet whether the avocado leaves extract was able to decrease edema glomerulus and cell damage in the kidneys. The aim of this research knew the effect of ethanol extract of avocado leaves to decrease edema glomerulus and cell damage kidney of white rat.  The research method used The Post Test Only Control Group Design. The dose was 100 mg/0.2kg bw, 200 mg/0.2kg bw, 300 mg/0.2kg bw, with inducer (ethylene glycol + ammonium chloride) as positive control, the treatment carried out during 10 days. Data analysis used Anova. The results showed for parameter damage the glomerulus with (F = 4.931, p = 0.027, < 0.05) which means there was the effect of the ethanol extracts of avocado leaves significantly to decrease edema glomerulus, while parameters proximal tubule damage with (F = 5.755, p = 0.018, < 0.05) which means there was the effect of the ethanol extracts of avocado leaves significantly to decrease cell damage kidney white rat. The dose of ethanol extract of avocado leaves which are most effective against the decrease of edema glomerulus was 100 mg/0.2kg bw and cell damage kidney white rat was 200 mg/0.2kg bw.     Abstract: Classroom action research was conducted with the following purposes: (1) increasing learning activities of class VIIC State Junior High School 3 Jember, (2) increasing the students’ achievement in Science subject. The result of the study indicated that the implementation of GI which is combined by puzzle game could increase the activities and achievement.
