Effects of a combined stretching training on flexibility of students in sports science program Silpakorn University
The research aimed to compare the effect of combined stretching training on flexibility and to compare the difference of the flexibility between male and female students in sports science program after 8 week of training. The subjects were 20 (10 male, 10 female) of the first year students in sports science program, Silpakorn University. The trainings were done in 30 minutes per day, 3 days per week, for 8 weeks. The flexibility tests were done every 2 weeks of training until 8 week. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, One-way Analysis of Variance with repeated measures and compared in pair by using Bonferroni method with statistically significant at .05. The results showed the flexibility of male and female students in sports science program after the combined stretching training program was different with statistically significant at .05 and the difference in the flexibility of female students after 8 week of the combined stretching training program were increased higher than male students. In summary, the combined stretching training program can increase the flexibility both of the male and female students in sports science program and can increase flexibility in female more than male students. This study is limited from subjects improperly cloth. Certain sportswear does not allow the flexibility of the fabric during exercise. Further study should study the effects of combined stretching training program on the performance measures
Pentingnya pemenuhan gizi pada indeks massa tubuh dan aktivitas fisik
Malnutrition troubles body mass index and physical activity. This study aims to analyze the relation of fulfillment of Nutrition on body mass index and physical activity. This research is a correlational study supported by survey methods. Data collection technique employs questionnaires and measurements of body weight and height. The population in this study is elementary school students in Sleman Yogyakarta and a sampling technique employs purposive random sampling. The total samples are 236 students. The research instrument uses 24-hour food recalls to determine fulfillment of Nutrition; tanita weight scales, microtoise to measure body mass index, and GPAQ (Global Physical Activity Questionnaire) to determine physical activity. Furthermore, analysis technique employs Pearson correlation analysis. The data analysis results of fulfillment of Nutrition and body mass index obtain syndication calculations 0.00 <0.05, meaning there is a relationship between the fulfillment of nutrition and body mass index. Additionally, the data analysis results of fulfillment of Nutrition and physical activity obtain significance calculation 0.00 <0.05, which means there is a relation between fulfillment of Nutrition and physical activity. Briefly, there is significant relation between the fulfillment of nutrition and body mass index as well as between the fulfillment of nutrition and physical activity. In another words, the study shows positive link between fulfillment of Nutrition with body mass index and physical activity.Pemenuhan gizi yang kurang sesuai akan berdampak pada indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dan aktivitas fisik pada seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pemenuhan gizi dengan IMT dan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional, dengan metode survey. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Sleman Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling. Total sampel sebanyak 236 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan food recalls 24 jam untuk mengetahui pemenuhan gizi dengan timbangan tanita, microtoise untuk mengukur IMT, dan Kuisioner GPAQ (Global Physical Activity Questionnaire) untuk mengetahui aktivitas fisik. Teknik analisis dengan analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil analisis data pemenuhan gizi dengan IMT diperoleh perhitungan sinifikansi 0.00 < 0.05, berarti terdapat hubungan antara pemenuhan gizi dengan IMT. Selanjutnya hasil analisis data pemenuhan gizi dengan aktivitas fisik diperoleh perhitungan signifikansi 0,00 < 0.05, berarti terdapat hubungan antara pemenuhan gizi dengan aktivitas fisik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pemenuhan gizi dengan IMT serta ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pemenuhan gizi dengan aktifitas fisik. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemenuhan gizi dengan IMT dan aktivitas fisik
The effectiveness of video feedback (vfb) usage on futsal learning motivation
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan video feedback (VFB) terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode dalam penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan desain the randomized posttest-only control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi (PJKR) dengan sampel berjumlah 49 mahasiswa, 23 mahasiswa diberikan feedback dengan VFB dan 26 mahasiswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen untuk mengukur motivasi menggunakan kuesioner Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki motivasi lebih signifikan setelah diberi perlakuan VFB dalam pembelajaran futsal daripada kelas kontrol. Aktivitas pembelajaran futsal dengan menggunakan VFB merupakan salah satu strategi guru pendidikan jasmani dalam rangka mengoptimalkan lingkungan kelas untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, meningkatkan kompetensi, meningkatkan keterampilan bermain, dan eksplorasi dalam kegiatan fisik motorik. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menggunakan VFB dalam rangka perolehan keterampilan teknik bermain futsal.The purpose of this study is to determine the outcome of the application of video feedback (VFB) usage on increasing students’ learning motivation. The method used in this research is an experimental design called the randomized posttest-only control group design. The study is conducted in Physical Education, Health and Recreation (PJKR) department, STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan using 49 students as sample in which 23 students obtain the feedback with VFB and 26 students act as a control group. Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS) questionnaire is employed as the instrument for measuring motivation. The results show that, in futsal learning, the experimental class has greater motivation after receiving VFB treatment than the control class. Futsal learning using VFB is one of the physical education teachers’ strategies to optimize learning motivation, intensify competence, improve the skills and explore physical motor development activities. Furthermore, it is necessary to use VFB to acquire futsal technical skills
Analisis sport aerobik and anaerobik berbasis biomekanika
Biomechanics is a study of science that focuses on the application and analysis of laws, forms and types of movements. 100-meter run and 1,600-meter run have different motion characteristics according to body, arms and leg angles. This study aims to analyze the motion of aerobic and anaerobic exercises based on biomechanical analysis. Research methodology uses quantitative descriptive research type. The sampling technique employs purposive sampling. The population is 60 Physical Education, Sport, Health and Recreation (PJKR) students of Jenderal Sudirman University (UNSOED). Data analysis technique applies kinovea software. The results show that 1600-meter run records the body angle of 138°, leg angle of 132° and arm swing angle of 67°. While 100-meter run shows the body angle of 117°, leg angle of 137° and arm swing angle of 65°. Hence, this study concludes that the description of 100-meter run body angle is leaning 20° forward compared to 1,600-meter run, the leg angle of 100 meter run is smaller 5° compared to 1,600-meter run, and 100 meter run swing arm is smaller 2 ° compared to 1,600-meter run. Futhermore, kinovea software has capability to provide clear data based on biomechanical analysis.Biomekanika merupakan kajian ilmu yang fokus pada penerapan dan analisis meliputi hukum, bentuk dan jenis gerakan. Nomor lari 100 meter dan 1.600 meter mempunyai karakteristik gerak yang berbeda, hal ini dapat dilihat dari sudut lengan, tungkai dan togok. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa gerak sport aerobic dan anaerobic berdasarkan analisis biomekanika. Metodologi Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian mahasiswa PJKR UNSOED berjumlah 60 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan software kinovea. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sudut tubuh untuk nomor lari 1.600 meter menunjukkan besar sudut tubuh sebesar 138°, sudut tungkai sebesar 132° dan ayunan lengan sebesar 67°. Sedangkan nomor lari 100 meter menunjukkan besar sudut tubuh sebesar 117°, sudut tungkai sebesar 137° dan ayunan lengan sebesar 65°. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah deskripsi besar sudut tubuh nomor lari 100 meter lebih condong ke depan sebesar 20°dibandingkan nomor lari 1.600 meter, sudut tungkai nomor lari 100 meter lebih kecil sebesar 5°, ayunan lengan nomor lari 100 meter lebih kecil sebesar 2° dan software kinovea dapat digunakan dan mampu memberikan data yang jelas berdasarkan analisis biomekanik
Keunikan Bahasa Pola Pembelajaran melalui Komunikasi Keluarga untuk Mendukung Anak Sebagai Atlet Esport
Esports have drew considerable attention from Indonesian teenagers. Some of them enjoy them as entertainment; meanwhile, others seriously participate in the esports to gain achievement and earn income. Family communication and the role of parents are critical in providing support to their children to optimize their ability in the esport. This study aims to identify the family\u27s role in learning patterns through various languages conveyed by parents to their children to excel in the esport field. The method employed in this study was semiotic by investigating signs (language used by parents of esport athletes) derived from a YouTube channel content of Bigetron E-sport functioned as the unit of analysis. The data were analyzed and classified into six categories of the sign developed by Thomas Albert Sebeok. The results revealed that the parents’ support conveyed through language uniqueness of learning patterns to their children in pursuing a career in esports is essential to stimulate the children’s mindset and achievements
Meningkatkan komponen kebugaran jasmani atlet bola tangan melalui latihan Tabata pada saat terjadinya wabah COVID-19
The purpose of this research was to improve the handball athletes’ physical fitness through Tabata training during the outbreak of COVID-19. This pre-experimental research used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research participants were male handball athletes at amateur level (N = 30) (age = 21.8 ± 1.3 years, height = 169.6 ± 2 cm, weight = 60.7 ± 7 kg). All participants performed the Tabata training for 23 sessions with a frequency of 3 times a week. The athletes’ physical fitness level was measured using push-ups, curl-ups, V-sit and reach, as well as shoulder stretch. All research data were then analyzed using SPSS version 22 with a significance level of α 0.05. The results of this research found that the physical fitness components consisting of strength endurance (P<0.05), muscle strength (P>0.251), flexibility in the area of lower back and hamstrings (P<0.05) as well as upper arm flexibility (P<0.05) experienced differences before and after performing the Tabata training program. It is concluded that in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 throughout the world, Tabata is one alternative training to be performed by each handball athlete at home since Tabata training may provide various benefits in improving the handball atlethes’ physical fitness components.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kebugaran fisik atlet melalui pelatihan Tabata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Peserta dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet bola tangan pria (N = 30) (usia = 21,8 ± 1,3 tahun, tinggi = 169,6 ± 2 cm, berat = 60,7 ± 7 kg), semua peserta melakukan pelatihan Tabata selama 23 sesi dengan frekuensi 3 seminggu sekali. Tingkat kebugaran fisik atlet diukur menggunakan push up, curl up, V-sit and reach dan peregangan bahu. Semua data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa komponen kebugaran fisik, yaitu kekuatan daya tahan (P <0,05), kekuatan otot (P> 0,251), mobilitas di daerah punggung bawah dan paha belakang (P <0,05) dan mobilitas lengan atas (P <0,05) mengalami perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi program pelatihan Tabata. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam situasi wabah coronavirus saat ini di seluruh dunia, Tabata adalah pelatihan alternatif yang dapat dilakukan oleh atlet bola tangan individu di rumah dan metode Latihan Tabata memiliki manfaat untuk meningkatkan beberapa komponen kebugaran fisik atlet bola tangan
Knee functional and psychological readiness of post ACL injury in operative and non-operative treatment
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan fungsional lutut dan kesiapan psikologis pasien yang melakukan rehabilitasi pasca cedera ACL dengan penanganan secara operatif atau non-operatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional survey design dengan menggunakan 30 subjek terdiri atas, 17 subjek dengan penanganan operatif, dan 13 subjek dengan penanganan non-operatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diterjemahkan ke bahasa Indonesia melalui proses terjemahan, adaptasi, atau skala yang digunakan untuk penelitian lintas budaya. Penilaian kemampuan fungsional lutut menggunakan kuesioner IKDC 2000, dan penilaian kesiapan psikologis menggunakan kuesioner ACL-RSI. Uji t dua sampel independen digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata skor IKDC 2000 dan ACL-RSI antara pasien dengan penanganan operatif dan non-operatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, tidak ditemukaan perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor IKDC 2000 (Sig. 0,110 > 0,05) dan ACL-RSI (Sig. 0,713 > 0,05) pada pasien dengan rata-rata 23,06 bulan dengan penanganan operatif, dan 23,46 bulan dengan penanganan non-operatif. Pasien dengan penanganan operatif dan non-operatif yang memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik yang sama seperti sebelum cedera, memiliki skor IKDC 2000 dan ACL-RSI yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pasien yang memiliki aktivitas fisik yang lebih rendah daripada sebelum cedera.This study aims to determine the knee functional ability and psychological readiness of patients who perform rehabilitation posts ACL injury with operative or non-operative treatment. This research type is a cross-sectional survey design using 30 subjects, 17 subjects with operative treatment, and 13 subjects with non-operative treatment. Data collection technique using a questionnaire which has been translated into the Indonesian Language through the process of translation, adaptation, or scale used for cross-cultural research. The knee functional ability assessment using the IKDC 2000 questionnaire and the psychological readiness assessment using the ACL-RSI questionnaire. T-test two independent samples are used to find out the difference in the mean scores of IKDC 2000 and ACL-RSI between patients with operative and non-operative treatment. The results of the study showed that there were no significant differences between the IKDC 2000 (Sig. 0.110 > 0.05) and ACL-RSI score (Sig. 0.713 > 0.05) in patients with an average of 23.06 months with operative treatment and 23.46 months with non-operation treatment. Patients with operative and non-operative treatment who have the same level of physical activity as before the injury have IKDC 2000 and ACL-RSI score higher compared to patients who had lower physical activity than before the injury
The effect of modification “throwing-catching ball” in manipulative skill intellectual disability children
The purpose of the research is to know the effect on the modification of “throwing-catching ball” in manipulative skill intellectual disability children. This study used quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. Based on sampling technique with purposive sampling, this research used 10 samples. This research used the throwing-catching the ball instrument test. After analyzing data, value of the pretest was obtained with an average value of 3,8, minimum data 1, maximum data 6, and with a range of 5. Meanwhile of the posttest was obtained an average value of 10, minimum data 6, maximum data 2, and with range 6. Based on the results of t test showed 0,005 < 0,05. Meaning that there is an effect on the modification of “throwing-catching ball” in manipulative skill intellectual disability children. Hopefully, this research can be used as a basis for the next research, by paying attention on characteristics of intellectual disability children who require special assistance and learning and be more creative in developing game models to improve the manipulative skill on intellectual disability children
Effects of alkali-based drinking on blood tactic levels and rest beat after high intensity physical activity in soccer players
Pemain sepak bola harus memiliki daya tahan yang tinggi untuk aktif menendang, melompat, berpindah tempat, sprint dan berlari dengan jarak tempuh hingga 8-10 km agar tidak cepat mengalami kelelahan. Sport drink marak dikonsumsi untuk meningkatkan daya tahan fisik tanpa mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap tubuh. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh minuman alkali (pH-9) terhadap kadar laktat darah dan denyut nadi istirahat setelah aktivitas fisik intensitas tinggi. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest and posttest design dengan kelompok kontrol sebanyak 40 atlet sepak bola dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki. Sebanyak 1800 ml minuman alkali diberikan sebanyak 3 seri (600 ml 4 jam sebelum, selama, dan setelah) dan melakukan tes kebugaran dengan yo-yo intermittent recovery test level-1. Kadar laktat dan denyut nadi diperiksa pada sesaat, menit ke-1, ke-3, dan ke-5. Uji prasyarat menggunakan Shapiro-wilk, sedangkan analisa bivariate menggunakan paired sample T-test dan independent sample T-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa minuman alkali (pH-9) berpengaruh dalam memperlambat pembentukan asam laktat (p=0,001), mempercepat proses pemulihan denyut nadi istirahat menit ke-1 (p=0,003), namun tidak meningkatkan kemampuan VO2max (p=0,001). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mengkonsumsi minuman alkali pH-9 dapat menghambat kelelahan fisik, memulihkan kelelahan lebih cepat, dan tidak meningkatkan daya tahan jantung pada latihan interval anaerob intensitas tinggi pada pemain sepak bola.Soccer player requires excellent cardio respiratory levels to move actively while change a position, shooting, dribbling, kicking and running up to a distance of 8-10 km. Various types of sports drinks are presently consumed by athletes to enhance physical endurance. This study examines the effect of alkaline drinks (pH-9) on blood lactate levels and recovery heart rate after high intensity exercise. The study is pretest and posttest design using a control group with samples of 40 male’s university soccer athletes. A total of 1800 ml of alkaline drinks were consumed (3 series of 600ml at 4-hrs prior, during and after) and perform a level-1 Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test. Lactate levels and heart rate examines at the 1st, 3rd and 5th minutes after a physical fitness test. Shapiro-wilk was applied for prerequisite tests, while for bivariate analysis using paired sample T-tests and independent sample T-tests. The results presented that consuming alkaline drinks (pH-9) had a significant effect in inhibiting the increase in Lactic Acid (p=0.001), advancing up recovery process in the 1st minute (p=0.460), 3rd (p=0.942) and 5th (p=0.887), has no effect on cardiorespiratory level (p=0.001). We can conclude it that consuming alkaline water can inhibit physical fatigue, recover fatigue faster, nevertheless cannot improve cardiorespiratory level after high intensity exercise for soccer players
Analysis of volleyball attacks: (Study on elite male teams in Proliga 2019 final four Kediri series)
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang serangan yang paling efektif yang digunakan selama pertandingan tim proliga putra pada final four seri Kediri tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data observasi nonpartisipan, sumber data sekunder diperoleh melalui video dari channel youtube PBVSI_OFFICIAL sejumlah 6 pertandingan Proliga Final Four Seri Kediri tahun 2019. Intrumen penelitian adalah rekaman pertandingan final four Seri Kediri tahun 2019 dan form statistik serangan open spike, quick, semi, back attack, serve. Teknik analisa data menggunakan rumus efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa serangan yang paling efektif sebagai berikut: open spike memiliki tingkat efektivitas serangan sebesar 15,9%, semi memiliki tingkat efektivitas serangan sebesar 0,5%, quick memiliki tingkat efektivitas serangan sebesar 4,3%, back attack memiliki efektivitas serangan sebesar 6,1% dan serve memiliki efektivitas serangan sebesar 2,8%. Kesimpulan studi ini menyatakan bahwa serangan yang paling efektif digunakan pada pemain bolavoli level profesional yang berlaga di proliga 2019 final four seri Kediri adalah open spike berada diurutan paling pertama, back attack di urutan kedua, quick di urutan ketiga, serve diurutan keempat, dan teknik semi di urutan kelima. Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak di pengambilan data yakni hanya dilakukan pada satu seri final four proliga bolavoli seri Kediri.This study aims to provide information about the most effective attacks used during men\u27s proliga team matches in the final four of the Kediri series in 2019. This research uses quantitative approaches, descriptive research types, nonparticipant observation data collection techniques, secondary data sources obtained through videos from youtube channel PBVSI_OFFICIAL a total of 6 proliga Final Four Seri Kediri matches in 2019. Instrument research is a recording of the final four matches of the Kediri Series 2019 and forms statistics of an open spike, quick, semi, back attack, serve, data analysis techniques using effectiveness formulas. The results showed that the most effective attacks are open spike has an attack effectiveness rate of 15.9%, semi has an attack effectiveness rate of 0.5%, quick has an attack effectiveness rate of 4.3%, back attack or has attack effectiveness of 6.1% and service has an attack effectiveness of 2.8%. The conclusions in this study state that the most effective attacks used on professional-level footballers competing in the 2019 proliga final four series kediri are as follows, open spike is ranked first, back attack in second, quick in third, serve in fourth, and technique semi in fifth. This research\u27s limitations lie in the data retrieval that is only done in one series of the final four proliga bolavoli kediri series
