TATA NIAGA PEMASARAN AYAM PEDAGING POLA MANDIRI DI KECAMATAN RASAU JAYA KABUPATEN KUBU RAYA KALIMANTAN BARAT
Livestock is one of the agricultural sub-sectors. Currently, broiler farming business attacks have many attention for researchers to be studied. Trading system becomes an integral part in the entire business activity, so do in broiler farming business. The trading system in broiler farming business is included in the downstream agribusiness sub-system so the farmers are able to be easier in distributing their livestock products to consumers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the trading system of broiler chicken with self-operating model in Rasau Jaya sub-district, Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan from January to March 2018. Total of 32 livestock keepers and 8 traders were used as samples. Both of the primary and secondary data were collected. This study was performed using descriptive survey method. Snowball sampling method was also applied for sample collection. Trading system of broiler farming business in the studied location is divided into two channels. Channel I consisted of breeders, collectors, consumers, while Channel II consisted of farmers, collectors, retailers, consumers. It could be concluded that channel II was more complex than Channel 1 because in Channel II there was a retailer that had a function as intermediary between traders and consumers. PERBANDINGAN BOBOT BADAN KAMBING PERANAKAN ETAWA YANG TERINFESTASI CACING SALURAN PENCERNAAN
Worm disease is a disease caused by infestation of worms in the body of animals with minimal risk to cause death, but causes losses in the form of decreased body weight, milk production, body resistance to other diseases and stunted growth, especially goats at a young age. Population of goats in Lampung Province is the third largest position in Indonesia that it is important to know the effects that can be caused due to intestinal worms. The purpose of this study was to determine the ratio of goat body weight infestated by various types of intestinal worms so that the researchers knew the impact of digestive tract worms infestation on goat body weight. The study was conducted in the period July - October 2018 in the Budi Lestari Livestock Group, Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The type of goat used in the study was the Etawa Breeders Goat. The method is a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments, namely the group of uninfested goats (P1); goat infested with 1 type of worm (P2); goat infested with 2 types of worms (P3); goats infected with 3 types of worms (P4); and goats infected with 4 types of worms (P5). Implementation procedures were (1) conducting a survey of PE goat populations; (2) Determining the age of PE goats; (3) Taking feces; (4) Identifying worm eggs (Mc Master Test and Sedimentation Test); (5) Determine samples; (6) Considering body weights; (7) Data tabulation and analysis. Data analysis was carried out using One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method at a 95% confidence level with SPSS 24 software program, if there were significant differences then proceed with the Least Significant Differences (LSD) and Duncan Test. The results of the data analysis showed that there were no significant differences between treatments (p> 0.05), but based on the average data of PE goats body weight from various treatments the highest in the treatment group that did not infest worm infestation (P1) was 25.25 kg, continued to decline respectively P2 (19.00 kg), P3 (18.25 kg), P4 (16.00 kg), P5 (15.25 kg). PERSENTASE KARKAS DAN MORTALITAS BROILER DAN AYAM KAMPUNG YANG DI BERI LIMBAH AMPAS PATI AREN TIDAK DIFERMENTASI DAN DIFERMENTASI DALAM RANSUM
The objectives of this research were to study the percentage of carcass of broiler and native chicken given arenga waste fermentation by Saccaromyces cerevisiae and to study arenga waste unfermentation in the ration. Sixty of broiler chickens Arbor Acres strain and sixty native chickens were divided into four dietary treatments and three replications (10 birds/replicate). The design of this experiment was completely randomized design factorial 2x2, with factor A was feeding (A1 : arenga waste unfermented, A2 : arenga waste fermented), and factor B was chicken species (B1:native chickens, B2:broilers). The variables observed were: (1) body weight, (2) carcass, (3) percentage of carcass, and (4) Mortality.The purposes of this study were to look at the effectiveness of rations and species of chicken used for the percentage of carcass and mortality. The results showed that there was no interaction (P> 0.05) between the fed arenga waste fermented or unfermented 2.5% in the ration,and the type of chicken on weight, carcass and carcass percentage, but there was an interaction on mortality (P<0.01). The fed had no significant (P>0,05) effect on weight, carcass, and carcass percentage, but percentage, but significant effect (P <0.05) on mortality. Types of chickens had a significant effect (P <0.05) on weight, carcass, percentage of carcass and mortality. The mortality rate with unfermented arenga waste was high enough, especially in broiler chickens, but it can be tolerated on native chicken and broilers with saccaromyces cerviseae fermented arenga waste. STATUS REPRODUKSI DAN ESTIMASI OUTPUT KAMBING SABURAI DI DESA GISTING ATAS KECAMATAN GISTING KABUPATEN TANGGAMUS
The goal of this study was to identify reproduction status, Natural Increase, Net Replacement Rate, and output estimation ofSaburai Goat in Gisting Atas village, Gisting subdistrict, Tanggamus regency. This research was conducted in March until April 2018. The material of this study is all of the Saburai goats which was available in the Gisting Atas Village, which number 89 heads. The results showed that the reproduction status of Saburai Goat in Gisting Atas Village were : first matingfor male goats was 15.47 months and for female goats was12.05 months, Post partum mating was for 2.67 months, calving interval was for 8.67 months. natural increase of Saburai goats was 24.72%, net replacement rate of male goats was 234.92%, and female goats was 121.62%, and the output Saburai goats was 24.72% (28 goats). KUALITAS FISIK DAGING DADA DAN PAHA BROILER YANG DIRENDAM DALAM LARUTAN DAUN SALAM (Syzygium polyanthum)
The objectives of the study were (1) to know there was or no interaction between soaking time in bay leaf and type of carcass to the physical quality of broiler meat; (2) To know the duration of optimum immersion for the physical quality of the muscles of the breast and thighs. This research was arranged using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with factorial pattern. The first factor is the length of meat immersion in bay leaf solution, namely: P0: control; P1 (20 minutes); P2 (40 minutes); P3 (60 minutes). While the second factor is a piece of carcass, namely: K1 (thigh) and K2 (chest). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The research variables were pH of meat, WHC, and cooking loss. The data obtained were proceed to variance analyze and further tested by BNT Test for length of immersion and Tukey test for carcass type at 5% level of significant. The results showed that there was no interaction (P>0,05) between soaking time and carcass cut. The duration of immersion had no significant (P>0,05) effect on pH, WHC, and cooking loss. Carcasses cut of thight and breast have a significant effect (P<0,05) on pH and cooking loss, but are not significant (P>0,05) for WHC. The pH value of the thigh meat is significantly (P<0,5) higher than the breast, but the cooking loss is lower. Keywords : Bay Leaf, Breast, Thight, Broiler, Physical Qualit
UJI VIABILITAS BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT DARI USUS YANG DIPREPARASI DALAM RANSUM UNGGAS
The aim of this study is to know the viability of Lactic Acid Bacteria isolates on ration and combination of ration with molasses. This study used a mixture of lactic acid bacteria isolates from the duck intestine (B4, B7, B8). The third bacterial isolates were inoculated on two different treatment media, on rantion media (R1), and combination of rantion + molasses (R2). The study was arranged by randomized block design (RAK) 6x2 factorial treatment pattern. Factor A is the incubation time of 0 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours. Factor B is two types of growing media of lactic acid bacteria, is ransum media, and combination of ransum + molasses. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. This research uses pour plate method with the calculation of the colony using colony counter. Data analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the addition of 1.6% molasses (R2) maintains the number of LAB population at 4th hour with the cell number 7,36 x 105 CFU / g. While on the ration medium (R1) can maintain the amount of LAB at 6th hour with the cell number of 6,20 x 105 CFU / g. LAB population viability on feed medium with addition of molases 1.6% (R2) has increased on storage time at 4th hour with cell number 7,36 x 105 CFU / g, while on feed medium (R1) decreased cell count 6,08 x 105 CFU / g. STUDI KASUS TINGKAT INFEKSI CACING PADA PETERNAKAN KAMBING BOER DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS
The worm infections can cause a decrease in livestock productivity, were in the form of a decrease in body weight, milk production, growth restriction, decrease immunity to disease, even death. Research on worm disease in Boer goats aims to determine the infection rate of Nematodiasis and Trematodiasis in goats with various age levels, young and adult age groups. This research method is survey with sampling technique is sampling by the judgment. The data analysis of the research was prevalence study and Chi-Square analysis (X2). The examination of worm eggs in feces on the research used centrifuge method. The results of examination on 30 samples of Boer goats showed that 93.33% of Boer goats were infected by Nematodes and 13.33% of Boer goats were infected by Trematoda. Infection rates of Nematodes and Trematoda were not showed any significant differences between the two groups. The low level of Trematodiasis in Boer goats indicates that Boer goats in Banyumas district are resistant to Trematoda worm infections. KADAR LOGAM BERAT Pb (TIMBAL) SUSU KAMBING YANG DIBERI PAKAN SILASE LIMBAH SAYURAN
The aim of this research is to get information of heavy metal content of Pb in goat milk fed with vegetables waste silage which is safe to be consumed by society. The experiments were carried out by using 16 pregnant 2 - 2,5 years old goat who were treated until the mother was lactated. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments applied were as follows: T0 = 100% forage (mixture of grass and legume), T1 = 80% forage + 20% vegetables waste silage, T2 = 60% forage + 40% silage vegetables waste, and T3 = 40% forage + 60% waste silage vegetables. The experiment was conducted for 5 months. The research results show that the feed silage vegetables waste very real produce milk production daily higher than the control of grass. The provision of silage vegetables waste very real produce metal Pb levels higher than control and be above threshold SNI 3141.1: 2011. So that it can be concluded that the silage vegetables waste not advisable done by farmers due to metal Pb in goat milk is still not safe to be consumed.
