Through the study of 3,237 ceramic pieces of chronologies that go from the XIII to the XVIII century, we want to know what the European stylistic influences in the production of Asturian ceramics were. At the beginning of the Early Modern Period the Asturian markets began to be flooded by imported ceramics mainly from the Netherlands, Talavera de la Reina, Portugal, Seville, the Basque Country and England. The arrival of these productions will influence the decorations developed in the Asturian potteries of Faro de Limanes and Miranda de Avilés. In this investigation we will see how in Asturian pieces, there are motifs created in Talavera de la Reina, Portugal, Italy, France and even Holland. These influences point to the ability of the Asturian mud crafts to assimilate novelties, the means of adaptation to the new European decorative forms and the demands of society.
Objective: The main objective of this work was to assess the presence of the amotivational syndrome in an adult sample of cannabis users.
Method: To this end, a descriptive study of the consumer profile was carried out in the
city of Gijón, province of Asturias, to compare the different consumption modalities with the motivation deficit of the participants. An adaptation of the frontal behavior scale (FrSBe-Sp) was used to measure the amotivational syndrome of the respondents, dividing it into three
dimensions, interest, initiative and social relations.
Results: According to the collected data, it is observed that the increase in apathy is directly related to the habit of consumption, in particular with the time of exposure to the drug, showing no association with the time variables from the cessation of consumption and quantity of daily consumption. There is also no evidence that the use of other drugs and sex influence the level of motivation of the sample.
Conclusions: the results show the probable presence of amotivational syndrome associated with a higher consumption of cannabis, as a relationship is seen in the increase of apathy and therefore the appearance of this study symptomatologyObjetivo: El objetivo principal de este
Signal Integration and Transcriptional Regulation of the Inflammatory Response Mediated by the GM-/M-CSF Signaling Axis in Human Monocytes
: In recent years, the macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) and granulocyte-macrophage CSF (GM-CSF) cytokines have been identified as opposing regulators of the inflammatory program. However, the two cytokines are simultaneously present in the inflammatory milieu, and it is not clear how cells integrate these signals. In order to understand the regulatory networks associated with the GM/M-CSF signaling axis, we analyzed DNA methylation in human monocytes. Our results indicate that GM-CSF induces activation of the inflammatory program and extensive DNA methylation changes, while M-CSF-polarized cells are in a less differentiated state. This inflammatory program is mediated via JAK2 associated with the GM-CSF receptor and the downstream extracellular signal-regulated (ERK) signaling. However, PI3K signaling is associated with a negative regulatory loop of the inflammatory program and M-CSF autocrine signaling in GM-CSF-polarized monocytes. Our findings describe the regulatory networks associated with the GM/M-CSF signaling axis and how they contribute to the establishment of the inflammatory program associated with monocyte activation

Society acquires a cultural model during a particular historical period through what we call canon. Canon is a selection of certain fragments of the cultural heritage of a community such as works, authors, lifestyles, expression forms, ethics, etc., to form its historical heritage and conserve it by transmitting it to society.
Educational institutions assume the role of transmission, mainly through texts and books of education, thus becoming a decisive element for the consolidation of the cultural system. Educational books are the main source of information for Spanish students. Main Spanish publishers are responsible for selecting some music content at the expense of others. Therefore, textbooks become the final expression of the prevailing ideology around music, assuming the implementation of a musical canon.
The target of this research is the study of the musical canon proposed by textbooks of the subject Music in the Spanish Secondary Education since 1990. The contents of textbooks have been analysed according to parameters based on the characteristics of canon -repertoire, music types, authors, gender issues, etc.- as well as the structure of the textbooks. Hence, we aim to understand the role that books develop in the transmission of the canon, and finding out what cultural model is proposed.
Crosspolar Optimization in Reflectarray Antennas for DBS missions
Current satellite applications for communications specify very tight cross-polarization values, usually with parameters such as the crosspolar discrimination (XPD) larger than 33 dB. To obtain these values, optimization of the cross-polarization performance has to be performed. The most common approach is to minimize the crosspolar component of the radiation pattern with regard to the copolar pattern in a subset of the visible region, corresponding to the coverage area. Nevertheless, this type of optimization provides suboptimal results since the figure of merit for cross-polarization performance (e.g. the XPD) is only optimized indirectly. Thus, in this work we propose to directly optimize the figure of merit to considerably improve the polarization purity of reflectarrays for satellite missions. For that purpose, the generalized intersection approach algorithm is employed in a very large reflectarray for a shaped beam application with European footprint. We show that directly optimizing the cross-polarization figure of merit provides better results than the usual approach of minimizing the crosspolar far field. This work was supported in part by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades under project TEC2017-86619-R (ARTEINE); by the Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad under project TEC2016-75103-C2-1-R (MYRADA); by the Gobierno del Principado de Asturias/FEDER under Project GRUPIN-IDI/2018/000191; by the Gobierno del Principado de Asturias through Programa "Clarín" de Ayudas Postdoctorales / Marie Curie-Cofund under project ACA17-09; by Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte / Programa de Movilidad "Salvador de Madariaga" (Ref. Acceleration of Very Large Reflectarray Radiation Pattern Computation Using an Adaptive Resolution Spectral Grid
In this work, it is proposed a novel use of the Non-Uniform Fast Fourier Transform (NUFFT) in reflectarray antenna analysis to greatly accelerate the computation of radiation patterns using a non-uniform, reduced and adaptive grid in the spectral domain. The proposed methodology is very useful for very large reflectarrays which have very narrow beamwidths due to their large directivity, and shaped-beam reflectarrays for satellite applications such as Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS), which might require a compliance analysis in very small angular regions. In those cases, high resolution in the radiation pattern is required, while a low resolution could be enough elsewhere to account for side lobes. However, current analysis techniques for such reflectarrays present limitations regarding large memory footprints or slow computations. The methodology presented in this work allows to overcome those limitations by performing computations in a non-uniform, reduced and adaptive grid in the transformed UV domain, achieving faster computations using considerably less memory. Numerical examples for current applications of interest are provided to assess the capabilities of the technique. In particular, the use of the NUFFT allows to compute efficiently the radiation pattern in any principal plane with improved resolution for multibeam applications. Also, compliance analyses for DBS applications may be improved with the use of a reduced, multiresolution grid and the NUFFT. The proposed technique is thus suitable to greatly accelerate optimization algorithms. This work was supported in part by the European Space Agency (ESA) under contract ESTEC/AO/1-7064/12/NL/MH; by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, under project TEC2017-86619-R (ARTEINE); by the Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad under project TEC2016-75103-C2-1-R (MYRADA); and by the Gobierno del Principado de Asturias through Programa "Clarín" de Ayudas Postdoctorales / Marie Curie-Cofund under project ACA17-09
