Forecasting Analysis of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Demand using Single Exponential Smoothing, Moving Average and Holt Winter’s Methods at the Palm Oil Plantation Company
PT Steelindo Wahana Perkasa, a part of the KLK GROUP, is a palm oil plantation company located inEast Belitung. They produce olein and stearin through a refinery plant with a capacity of 1000 MT ofCrude Palm Oil (CPO) per day. These products are exported to Asia and Europe, including countries likeMalaysia, Singapore, China, and the Netherlands. Olein is also sold in the Belitung region. Currently, thecompany only produces around 170 MT of CPO per day, so they purchase CPO from other companies.Research is conducted to analyze the future demand for CPO using the Single Exponential Smoothing,Moving Average, and Holt Winter's methods. The research's goal is to determine the most accurate methodbased on the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value. If MAPE is <10%, the method is consideredsuitable for forecasting CPO demand. The research results indicate that the most appropriate method isHolt Winter's, with a MAPE of 8.6% and 4.4%. In period 13, company A will purchase 2,780.08 MT ofCPO, and company B will purchase 4,496.10 MT
Innovative Approach to Furniture Production: Ecobrick Chairs as a Sustainable Solution
This research aims to create eco-friendly chairs using Ecobrick bottles as a base material. The excessiveuse of plastic causes a negative impact from increasing plastic waste which harms the environment andeven affects human health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which has led to an increase in theuse of plastic in several countries. That is the reason for the need for action to reduce plastic waste, one ofwhich is creating products made from plastic waste. The method used in this study has several stages inIdeate, Determining Customer Needs, Making Designs, Selection of Final Designs, DeterminingErgonomic Chairs, Calculation of Analysis Structures, Design Experiments and Testing, DesignRefinements, and Final Designs. From this research, it is hoped that the chairs created will be able to meetcustomer needs by having ergonomic dimensions, being environmentally friendly, and safe to use. Thisapproach is expected to provide a solution to the problem of excessive use of plastic, by turning plasticwaste into useful products and reducing the negative impact on the environment
Design of Decision Support System for New Employee Recruitment at PT Motekar Edukasi Indonesia Using Scrum and SMART Methods
Recruitment success that depends on accurate selection is the focus of PT Motekar Edukasi Indonesia, aprofessional training services company, which is experiencing challenges in determining suitablecandidates. The company's Head of HRD experiences difficulties in recommending the right employees, aswell as in making decisions to determine employees who meet the required criteria, so a system is neededfor the Head of HRD to determine the best applicants for PT Motekar Edukasi Indonesia according to thecriteria or specifications that have been determined. To overcome this, an HRD decision support systemwas developed using the Scrum method and the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART)method to determine the best applicants based on established criteria. This system was tested and showedhigh accuracy and user satisfaction of 93.80%, providing an effective solution for PT Motekar EdukasiIndonesia's HRD team in the recruitment process. Development of Digital Library Based Responsive Web Using CMS Wordpress.org
Library is one of the information facilities that functions to open the knowledge. Currently there arevarious types of libraries ranging from conventional to digital. The Faculty of Engineering's ReadingRoom needs to be developed into a Digital Library to make it more effective and efficient in the deliveryand search of libraries. Also, a repository needs to be made so that the scientific papers are not only in printformat. The variety of devices at this time caused user interface problems later. The solution is developingDigital Library with a responsive web-based. The method used in this research is a Prototype. Reasons touse this method is because during the development process client couldn’t deliver the completerequirement needs. They can’t provide a detailed definition of the specifications, requirements, andobjectives of the system. Then there’s no complete metadata for this research. In addition, the user can’t beinvolved in all stages of development. Wordpress.org is used as a software that builds and manages webinteractions. Object/Product Identification for Stock Taking Activities using Object Recognition Concept
Stock taking activity is as a routine product inspection activity to check the inventory accuracy and helpreduce the risks of stealing, damage, and obsolete inventories. This activity can be categorized as timeconsuming and expensive activity. In addition, this activity needs a lot of concentration and prone tohuman errors and mistakes. This study aims to replace human manual inspection in terms of object typeand quantity with objects identification to reduce errors, time, and costs. Digital image processing in theform of Object Recognition is used in this study to determine the type of object and the number of objects.The results showed that the detection rate of a single product reached 90% which was influenced by theangle of an image and the detection rate of object quantity reaches 81% in average in real environmentwith a certain condition. It is expected that costs of inventory inspection and warehousing activities can bereduced, as well as the improvement in terms of efficiency and effectiveness can be achieved
Comparison of Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Analysis Forecasting Methods on Art Board Production Demand (Case Study of PT Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills 1)
One of the companies engaged in the manufacturing industry is PT Pindo Deli Pulp and Mills 1, whichproduces various kinds of paper and tissue. Art Board is a type of paper produced by PT Pindo Deli Pulpand Mills 1, and is quite attractive to customers. However, customer demand for Art Board products oftenfluctuates. Product demand is an important aspect to be evaluated, because if the company does not planproperly the company will experience financial losses. Forecasting can be used as a support for companydecision making. Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Analysis are the methodsused to support forecasting in this study, where the next step is to analyze the accuracy of the forecastingmethod with the parameter values of MAD, MSE, standard error, bias, and forecasting for the next period.Based on data collection and analysis, it is found that the period 1 moving average method is the bestmethod for forecasting production demand for Art Board products with forecasting for the next period of19410 units, MAD of 3186,182, MSE of 16001250, and a bias of 634,546 meanwhile the standard error is4422,339
Reward Decision Support System and Punishment on Food Companies Using MABAC Method
The improvement of a company performances cannot be separated from the performance of each employee.Periodic evaluation of employee performance becomes a routine task of the Human Resources General Affair(HRGA) team that takes a long time and effort because it is still done manually. The results of employeeperformance that have been assessed as a reference of determination of rewards and punishment. TheDecision Support System (DSS) is made with the aim of making it easier for HRGA to determine employeerewards and punishments based on assessor factors that have been determined by the company. The criteriachosen are attendance, loyalty and responsibility, work competency and work results (quality and quantityresults). The DSS methods that can be applied to this process is the Multi-Attributive Border Approximationarea Comparison (MABAC) Method. This method is used because consistent in solutions and expert for usein logical decision making. The research data was taken from 11 samplings of bakery division employeeperformance data for 1 year. Data is obtained from attendance and assessments from supervisors of eachdivision. Application of RULA and REBA to Analyze Body Posture of Assembling Workers (Case Study PT XYZ)
Work productivity can be influenced by body posture or attitude when workers do their work and theconditions of the work environment are less ergonomic. PT. XYZ is an organization participated in theTruck Body industry. Assembling workers at XYZ Company still uses human labor in the welding processor cutting the component assembly process. Jobs with less ergonomic positions can cause fatigue toworkers and are at risk of causing Musculoskeletal Disorders. This study expects to decide the degree ofwork injury in Assembling laborers and is expected to be a recommendation for companies to improvework station conditions. The information taken is as photographs while Assembling laborers go about theirresponsibilities. The review was directed utilizing the Nordic Body Map interview technique, theconsequences of the survey showed grievances to laborers with average score of 63.3. Based on the risklevel classification table, the score is categorized as moderate and needs to be improved. Then furtherinvestigation was done utilizing the REBA and RULA strategies to decide the state of the specialist's bodyact while going about his job. Designing Marketing Strategy for Bbq Dirumah using SWOT Analysis and IE Matrix
Bbq Dirumah is an MSME in the food sector that was established during the Covid-19pandemic in Indonesia so that sales have not had an increasing trend and have not reached thetarget. One of the problem is the marketing strategy that has not been carried out optimally.Therefore, it is necessary to propose a marketing strategy based on the condition of BbqDirumah SMEs in order to increase sales. SWOT analysis was conducted to determine internaland external factors as input in the preparation of the SWOT and IE matrix so that alternativestrategies were obtained and evaluation was carried out to prioritize alternative strategiesimplemented with QSPM as an effort to increase sales to achieve targets. The research objectiveis to design a marketing strategy for Bbq Dirumah to increase sales volume in order to achievethe predetermined target. The results showed that the position of MSME Bbq Dirumah was inquadrant V on the IE matrix with an IFE score of 2.604 and an EFE score of 2.684 so the rightstrategy is market penetration and product development. An alternative strategy based on thepriority value in the QSPM is "benchmarking against competitors for better productdevelopment" with a TAS score of 5.895
Designing SOP for Quality Document Control in Rumah BUMN Bandung using Business Process Management Method
The role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is very important for a region, especially asone of the drivers of economic growth in the region. In order to create efficiency, wider market reach,attract more customers and better business opportunities, MSMEs must enter the digital businessecosystem. Rumah BUMN (RB) is an initiative program of BUMN and the Ministry of BUMN tostrengthen Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Rumah BUMN Bandung is one of the activeRumah BUMN and there are many activities under the auspices of Bank BRI. As the digital businessecosystem develops, more and more MSMEs are joining Rumah BUMN Bandung. Implementation ofdocumentation at Rumah BUMN Bandung only reached 12.5%, mainly focused on training programs outof a total of 8 existing programs. The reason is that there is no comprehensive implementation of qualitydocument control standards at Rumah BUMN Bandung. As a result, Rumah BUMN Bandung employeesoften have difficulty finding documents, sometimes documents that have expired are still being used, andthey make mistakes in providing documents to fellow employees. This research aims to describedocuments that need to be controlled, design SOPs for quality document control, and create use casediagrams.
