ECONOMIC VALUATION OF A NATURAL RECREATION AREA: THE VULCANOTOUR IN MERAPI VULCANO
Get PDFDaerah Istimewa (the special province of) Yogyakarta or usually abbreviated as DIY is the second biggest tourism destination in Indonesia, after Bali. DIY has more than 100 recreation sites. One of the famous recreation sites in DIY is Vulcanotour (VT) located in the area of Merapi Vulcano. This paper employed the individual travel cost method ITCM) to estimate the economic value of VT. We used OLS, Non-linear Normal/NLS, Poisson, and Negative Binomial methods to estimate the regression. This study used primary data from the management of VT and 60 visitors in the period of April to May 2013. The study found that the number of visits to VT was significantly affected by the number of trips to Yogyakarta City (the capital city of DIY). The economic value per visit of VT were ranged from USD 33.1 to USD 153.4. The study also concluded that the number of trips to VT is significantly influenced by the Yogyakarta city as a destination. Get PDFWeekend effect is a form of inefficiency that makes stock returns are not random (predictable) and repetitive which is against the efficient market theory by Fama (1991). This study aims to encourage stock investor knowledge about these anomalies, and act more measurably, so that a more efficient market can be achieved. This study uses a regression method that is looking for a significant value between days against the daily return index with the aim of finding a trading pattern on a particular day, especially on Monday and Friday. Analisis Manfaat Penyertaan Modal Negara Pada Program Pembangunan Infrastruktur Listrik Desa Provinsi Bali
Get PDFInfrastructure in Indonesia needs to be developed every year following the economic growth of Indonesia and the world. Regarding the availability of electricity resources, there are still many households in rural Bali that do not have electricity facilities so that rural communities cannot be fully productive economically. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of government investment through State-owned Equity Participation to the State Electricity Company (PT. PLN) in the Java-Bali electricity infrastructure development program, especially in the village electricity program in Bali Province. This study uses a qualitative method using Atlas.ti software to analyze the results of interviews by providing codes in the form of a collection of words that are most relevant and needed in research. This study also calculates the benefits of government investment through a cost and benefit analysis approach. The results show that the Java-Bali electricity infrastructure development program, especially the village electricity program in Bali Province, has effectively increased the electrification ratio by 100%. Other results show other benefits of village electricity projects such as increasing productivity, cost and energy efficiency, improving living standards, adding insight and information, and also facilitating small and medium enterprises in the villages of Bali Province

Get PDFThe rapid increase of the culinary business in the city of Bandung has caused culinary businessmen to have a competitive advantage to continue to survive in this business. Every part of this sector is used to allow it. This study aims to determine how many influences of e-WOM on brand image and performance on purchase intention. The object in this study was Se\u27i Sapi Lamalera. This study was conducted on 307 respondents using a quantitative descriptive approach. Therefore, data analysis is in the form of statistical analysis in the form of SEM-PLS. There is data processing using the Smart-Partial Least Square (Smart-PLS) version 3.0. PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of this study indicate that based on t test, e-WOM and brand image have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention in Se’i Sapi Lamalera and e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention in Se\u27i Sapi Lamalera

This paper discusses the factors that affect the achievement of the level of maturity in the application of risk management in organizations. Data obtained through a survey involving 55 respondents who are practitioners of risk management and processed using contingency table analysis techniques. Based on the results of data processing, the aspects that support the maturity level of the organization’s risk management are related to a clear governance structure, guidelines and procedures, leadership’s commitment and periodic reviews, human resources who have competence in the field of risk management to create culture of risk awareness, integrated management and performance management system, as well as organizational resilience and sustainability management systems
DOES INVESTORS RESPOND TO TAX AVOIDANCE AND TAX RISK? STEWARDSHIP PERSPECTIVE
Get PDFThis study investigates the association of tax avoidance and tax risk with investor responses regarding firm value in Indonesia. The methodology of this study is the quantitative method. The secondary data were sourced from companies\u27 financial statements and stock prices in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019, obtained from www.idx.co.id, www.idnfinancials.com, and www.finance.yahoo.com. Based on purposive sampling, the number of samples in this study amounted to 78 observations. Hypothesis testing employed in this study is multiple regression analysis for panel data. This study suggests that tax avoidance is positively associated with firm value, but tax risk is negatively associated with firm value. Tax avoidance is an activity that can align the interests of shareholders. Meanwhile, tax risk tends to occur beyond the control of managers so that managers cannot take advantage of tax risk to support the interests of shareholders. This study indicates that the Financial Services Authority needs to coordinate with the Indonesian Tax Authority in improving regulations related to tax avoidance by issuers in Indonesia
Tindak Pidana Korupsi Dan Aktivitas Underground Economy
Get PDFSpecial and continuous attention need to be paid to the phenomenon of underground economic activities, especially in deciding the determination of this economic activities to decrease, monitor, and prevent phenomena that are adverse to national/regional income. The aims of this study are to analyze the activities and the potential for corrupt behavior of the underground economic agents, looking to avoid the tax revenues and implications on interest prices from underground economic activities. The method used for this research is a Explanatory Sequential Mix Methods, first analyzed quantitatively by formulating an equation model and applied using the purposefully selected method. The findings of the study showed that corruptive behavior in the underground economic activities has a positive influence on the amount of money supplied in narrow terms (M1-currency) from the regional levels in the 3T (foremost-outermost-underdeveloped) region. Increased corruption levels can boost the amount of money circulating in society. During most of the higher tax collection, the supply of money will increase (M1). It is necessary to implement pentahelix elements to build a synergy between actors and to begin implementing and mastering electronic/digital systems with E-Government systems in every financial transaction.

The study model used to examine the accounting information systems succession was the model modified from DeLone & McLean (2003) and the research developed by Gable, Sedera, & T (2008)
The data was collected through questionnaires given to 84 respondents who were users of the accounting information system software (SIMDA/SIPKD) that worked as an analyst in city/regency governments all over West Java Province. The data was analyzed using a multiple regression analysis through the SPSS program.
The results show that the variables\u27 quality has a partially positive and significant influence on accounting information systems\u27 user satisfaction. It implies that an increase in the quality of information systems, information, and services implemented will increase user satisfaction. The test results also reveal that the variables\u27 quality positively and significantly affected the users\u27 satisfaction with the accounting information system in city/regency governments throughout West Java Province

This study examines the effect of tourism on economic growth in Indonesia based on time series data during the years 1975 - 2017. The results show that tourism has a positive effect on economic growth and conversely economic growth has a positive effect on tourism.
