According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (Deperindag), there are problems faced by Small Medium Enterprise(s) (SMEs) to develop themselves. Some of these problems are the insufficiency capital, limited knowledge, uncompetitive financing schemes and lack of education of the SME\u27s owners aggravating the problem. This paper discusses the condition of Indonesian banking and other financial institutions as well as capital conditions, the condition of SME(s,) and the needs of financial and business education for SMEs. Finally, this paper suggests alternative solutions to the problem. Keywords: Small Medium Enterprises (SME)s, SMEs development, SMEs Business Education, Indonesian Banks and LDR, private sector development
PERBANDINGAN PENGARUH TEKNIK PEMODELAN ENTITY-RELATIONSHIP MODEL DAN RESOURCES-EVENTS-AGENTS MODEL ATAS PERANCANGAN DATABASE PERUSAHAAN
Databases are an important part of most computer-based information systems. As such, the design of a database has also gained importance because a bad design will compromise data integrity as well as make it inefficient in its use of resources. This paper compares the effect of two data modeling approaches on the design of a database, specifically the Entity-Relationship Model (ER Model) and the Resources-Events -Agents Model (REA Model). First, the sales/collection cycle of a fictional case study is described. Then, an ER Model and a REA Model are independently created based on this case study. Finally, one database design is created based on the ER Model, and another database design is created based on the REA Model. The outcome of this experiment shows that both approaches produced similar database designs, but the design processes were different in their complexity, structurally, and completeness. A significant difference is that the ER Model closely followed those aspects that were already laid out by the case study, while the REA Model started out by building a most complete data model, over and above the one described in the case study
PLAGIARSM: MENGAPA HARUS TERJADI?
The purpose of this article is to describe a hot issue called plagiarism. Even though, this is not a simple matter and even some people said that it is a mission impossible, higher education should participate to overcome the problem. The problems of plagiarism exist \u27because of many reasons. First it is caused by internal factors, such as personality; values and low appreciation of science. Second it is merely \u27caused by external factors such as education system, promotion system, character building, reading habits and control of the institution. Therefore, several steps should be taken, such as emphasizing of the character building in the process of learning; providing the system control and improving the process of consultation. By doing this steps, it is possible to minimize that deviant behavior
PENELITIAN GROUNDED THEORY, APAKAH ITU..?
Generally speaking, Grounded Theory is an approach for looking systematically at (mostly) qualitative data (like transcripts of interviews or protocols of observations) aiming at the generation of theory. Sometimes, Grounded Theory is seen as a qualitative method, but Grounded Theory reaches farther: it combines a specific style of research (or a paradigm) with pragmatic theory of action and with some methodological guidelines. This approach was written down and systematized in the 1960s by Anselm Sfrauss (himself a student of Herbert Blumer) and Bamey Glaser (a student of Paul Lazarsfeld), while working together in studying the sociology of t7lness at the University of California. For and with their studies, they developed a methodology, that was then made explicit and became the founding stone for an important branch of qualitative sociology. Important concepts of Grounded Theory are categories, codes and codings. The research principle behind Grounded Theory is neither inductive nor deductive, but combines both in a way of abductive reasoning (coming from the works of Charles S. Peirce). This leads to a research practice where data sampling, data analysis and theory development are not seen as distinct and disjunct, but as different steps to be repeated until one can describe and explain the phenomenon that is to be researched. This stopping point is reached when new data doesn’t change the emerging theory anymore. Grounded Theory according to Glaser emphasizes induction or emergence, and the individual researchers creativity within a clear frame of stages, while Sfrauss is more interested in validation criteria and a systematical approach. This methodical way of creating Grounded Theory (and still be acceptable to scientific standards) is explained in Strauss/Corbin (1990)
RUMAH, LAYAKKAH MENJADI ASET UNTUK INVESTASI?
Having own house is part of all families’ dream. Generally house consumes the largest proportion of households’ income. It is not all families can afford to buy them. Furthermore, a house also becomes their most profitable investment. The rise of price of house, in long period of time, can make household more wealthy than before. Housing investment is worth because several reason. First, it is low risk investment. Second, the return will come from the rent and the rises of price, that believed always increase, could be relatively hight. Third, If is also differ than other portfolio investment, many institutions are willing to give loans to financing the house. As consequency, it gives the owner of houses opportunity to get higher real of return from the investment. House become profitable investment if it done for long period of time. It is also good investment if the price of house always rises. This paper shows the simple rasioning of housing investment. The example is introduced to make clearly explanation

PENGARUH KOMITMEN AFEKTIF, KOMITMEN BERKELANJUTAN DAN KOMITMEN NORMATIF TERHADAP KEINGINAN UNTUK PINDAH (STUDI PADA PERAWAT DI RS FATIMA KETAPANG)
Research regarding organizational commitments has been made multiple times, however research regarding affective, continuance and Normative commitments that effected hospital nurses\u27 willingness to relocate has only been done a few times. The primary data for this research were acquired from Fatima Hospital nurses\u27 opinions, located in Ketapang, West Borneo. Samples were collected and calculated using a simple random sampling, and the statistical method used to test each hypothesis is multilevel linear regression. The outcome of this research has shown that not all tested hypothesis are acceptable. Affective commitment has negative impact towards the willingness to relocate, and Continuance commitment also has negative impact towards the willingness to relocate. On the other hand, Normative commitment has positive impact towards the willingness to relocate and organizational commitment has simultaneously impacted the willingness to relocate
