Get PDFArt restorers believe that, in the course of time, pieces of art, paintings and sculptures acquire characteristics of an organism. And what about a city? We often use a metaphor “city as an organism” in our professional discussions, and rightly so. Judging by their complex and diverse character and the wholeness of their system, delicate urban interrelations can be compared to a living organism. Transport and utilities look like lymph and blood vessels. Recreation areas are the lungs of the city. The historical center is its heart. The operation on this heart was pointed out by Mark Meerovich (PB 50, p. 75), and right now it is the main discourse in Irkutsk. Paris even has its belly – Les Halles Market, which was rebuilt into a shopping mall in the 20th century (this operation is considered an error by many professionals, including Bernard Tschumi).
Реставраторы говорят, что со временем произведения искусства, картины, статуи приобретают свойства организма. А что же город? В своих профессиональных дискуссиях мы часто используем метафору «город – организм», и для этого есть основания. По своей сложности, многообразию и системной цельности тонкие городские взаимосвязи вполне сравнимы с живым организмом. Транспорт и инженерные сети – чем не лимфа и кровеносные сосуды? Легкие города – рекреации. Исторический центр – сердце города, об операции на котором говорил Марк Меерович (ПБ №50, с. 75), и именно сейчас это главный дискурс Иркутска. А у Парижа даже чрево было – рынок Ле Аль, переделанный в ХХ веке в магазин (и многие, в частности Бернар Чуми, считают, что эта операция была ошибкой)

Get PDFThe recently published Living Planet Report from the WWF shows clearly that biodiversity – the rich diversity of life on Earth – is being lost at an alarming rate. The population sizes of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles have seen an alarming average drop of 68% since 1970. Humans are not above, or besides nature, but simply part of nature. The global destruction of nature and its disappearance in the cities has a negative impact on our well being, physically and mentally. Flora and fauna must be offered their own space in the cities. New forms and types of urban interventions and architecture projects are now emerging with a focus on biodiversity. Most of them are prototypes and research projects to better integrate the needs of and a space for the flora and fauna. Following you will find an overview of seven recent projects in Paris, that enhance the biodiversity inside the city. Working with nature has become an obligation, being ecological and sustainable is a plus for each attractive city.

Get PDFThe 15th All-Russian architectural festival “ArchBukhta. Teleportation” was held on Olkhon Island from 10 to 15 March. More than one hundred people from seven regions of Russia, from the first organizers to first-year students, took part in the competition. The article formulates the main idea of the Festival – to create art objects from local materials. The article also presents the results of the Festival: 20 art objects arranged on the territory of the Art Residence “Port Olkhon”. Five of them received prizes.С 10 по 15 марта состоялся XV Всероссийский архитектурный фестиваль «АрхБухта. Телепортация» на острове Ольхон. Его участниками стали свыше ста человек из 7 регионов России, от первых организаторов до студентов первого курса. В статье сформулирована главная идея фестиваля года – создание арт-объектов из местных материалов; представлены его результаты. Итогом фестиваля стало создание 20 арт-объектов, разместившихся на территории Арт-резиденции «Порт Ольхон», 5 из них отмечены наградами

Get PDFThe article touches upon the questions of the evolution and potential for the development of urban fabric in the case study of the Solnechnyi microdistrict in Irkutsk. The methods for structural analysis of the potential for the neighborhood development are applied on the scale of the microdistrict and housing typology. It serves as a basis for modeling and adaptation of the existing housing to a change in the internal and external conditions of development. The proposed adaptation methods for the development allow to enhance our insight into the spatial potential of the structure and identity of the microdistrict, as well as into improving the comfort of housing and revitalizing the living space. When elaborating design and regulatory strategies for the development of large scale housing estates, it is advisable to use the tools of spatial and planning adaptation in the existing morphotypes.Изложены вопросы эволюции и потенциала развития планировочной структуры на примере микрорайона Солнечный в Иркутске. Методы структурного анализа потенциала развития микрорайона применены в масштабах микрорайона и типологии жилой застройки, что положено в основу моделирования, адаптации сложившейся жилой застройки к изменению внутренних и внешних условий развития. Предложенная методика адаптации застройки позволяет расширить представление о пространственном потенциале структуры и индивидуальности микрорайона, а также о повышении комфортности жилья, оживлении жилого пространства. При разработке проектных и регулятивных стратегий развития микрорайонов массовой застройки целесообразно в сложившихся морфотипах применить инструменты пространственно-планировочной адаптации

The specific features of the formation of a pedestrian boulevard in the given microdistricts are revealed and the necessary factors for the creation of a successful and frequented public place are identified.В статье рассматривается место общественных пространств в ткани панельных микрорайонов Первомайского и Университетского в Иркутске. Анализируются текущее состояние общественных пространств и существующие на данный момент проблемы. Приводятся примеры благоустройства территорий в рамках федеральных и региональных программ по повышению комфорта городской среды. The article reviews the formation of the ensembles of the prospect named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker”, the “Stone Quarter”, the Bridgehead Square and other areas of Krasnoyarsk’s right bank.Исследование основывается на историческом анализе и архивных фотоматериалах Красноярского краевого краеведческого музея. Особое внимание уделено архитектуре жилья, ее значению. Прослежена эволюция жилищного строительства правобережья Красноярска 1960–1970-х гг.
