Strategies of Darul Muttaqin Mosque Management in Addressing The Misuse of Mosque Facilities as a Sleeping Area
The Darul Muttaqin Mosque has encountered a phenomenon that has become a concern, namely the misuse of mosque facilities, particularly the use of the mosque as a sleeping area by some students. Although the mosque\u27s primary purpose is for worship and religious activities, the phenomenon of students sleeping in the mosque has been occurring more frequently. This study aims to explore in depth the strategies employed by the management of the Darul Muttaqin Mosque to address the misuse of mosque facilities, specifically regarding the issue of sleeping in the mosque. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The theoretical framework used is Henry Mintzberg’s (1939) Strategic Management Theory. The findings indicate that mosque management faces challenges in maintaining the sanctity and primary function of the mosque as a place of worship. The misuse of mosque facilities, particularly the use of the mosque as a sleeping area, often occurs due to a lack of ethical awareness and discipline among visitors. Although the mosque management has made efforts to reprimand visitors sleeping in inappropriate areas, these efforts often fail to yield consistent results. Therefore, a more systematic and participatory approach is needed to address this issue

The Crisis of Meaning in the Age of Meaning: A Literature Review of Semantic Disorders in Social Media
The digital era has fundamentally changed the pattern of human communication. One of the significant impacts of this change is the occurrence of a crisis of meaning in online interactions, triggered by the semantic bending in the use of language on social media. Phenomena such as memes, irony, and remix culture also accelerate the process of shift and ambiguity of meaning. This article aims to examine the literature on meaning disorders that occur in the digital space, especially on social media. With the literature study method, the author examines theories of meaning, digital language, and the phenomenon of memes as a form of bending meaning. The results of the study show that social media contributes to semantic crises through the production of meanings that are contextual, fragmented, and often ironic. This article also highlights the urgency of semantic literacy and digital communication ethics as a response to the crisis of meaning in the post-truth era

The Challenges of Islamic Communication in Facing the Normalization of Romantic Behavior of Teenagers in Banda Aceh City
This study aims to analyze the challenges of da’wah communication in responding to the normalization of romantic behavior among adolescents in Banda Aceh. The research focuses on identifying the forms of romantic behavior, the responses of da’wah actors, and the barriers that arise in delivering moral messages within the youth digital culture. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and social observation. The research informants consist of five individuals, including one young da’i and four adolescents from diverse social backgrounds. The findings reveal that romantic behaviors such as riding in pairs, spending time together privately at cafés, and displaying intimacy on social media are increasingly perceived as socially acceptable. This normalization is driven by digital media influence, popular cultural trends, the weakening of parental supervision, and adolescents’ psychological need for social recognition. Adolescents do not reject religion itself, but rather resist forms of da’wah that are judgmental, rigid, and lacking communicative sensitivity. Instead, they prefer da’wah that is persuasive, conversational, uses contemporary youth language, and is disseminated through social media and direct engagement in their social environment. The analysis employs the Uses and Gratifications Theory, which explains that adolescents actively select and consume media content based on their psychological and social needs. Consequently, romantic content becomes more attractive than conventional religious communication. The study concludes that the effectiveness of da’wah in the digital era depends on the ability of preachers to adapt their communication strategies, optimize the use of social media, and provide alternative gratifications that align with Islamic values
Assessing Risk before Departure: Risk Perception and Decision-Making of Prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers
This study aims to analyze the influence of risk perception on the decision-making of prospective Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI) in the pre-departure phase. The growing public interest in working abroad is often not accompanied by an adequate understanding of the potential risks. This study offers novelty by empirically integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Risk-as-Feelings Framework within the specific pre-departure migration context, demonstrating that risk perception functions as a significant cognitive–affective predictor of rational decision-making among prospective Indonesian migrant workers. This study uses a quantitative, correlational design. Participants were 150 prospective migrant workers who attended training at five Job Training Institutions (LPK) in Indonesia. The research instrument consisted of the Perceived Risk Factors for Pre-departure Migrant Workers Scale (PD-RFPS) and the Quality of Decision-Making Orientation Scheme (QoDoS), both of which demonstrated high reliability (α = 0.913 and α = 0.950, respectively). Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression in SPSS. The results showed that risk perception significantly affected the decision-making of prospective migrant workers (R² = 0.446; p < 0.05). The higher an individual\u27s perception of risk, the more rational and careful their decision-making process is. These findings strengthen the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Risk-as-Feelings Framework by emphasizing the role of interactions between cognitive and affective processes in the context of work migration. In practice, this study\u27s results highlight the importance of risk perception education and strengthening psychological literacy in pre-departure training for migrant workers to improve mental readiness and work safety abroad
The Transformation of Abu Bakar Ba\u27asyir\u27s Rhetoric: A Discourse Analysis of the Narrative of Qoul Qodim to Qoul Jadid
Rekomendasi penelitian mencakup pengembangan pelatihan komunikasi dakwah adaptif bagi pengkaji dan dai, integrasi kajian sejarah ulama ke dalam kurikulum dakwah, serta pemanfaatan simbol lokal dan media digital untuk memperkuat legitimasi dan daya tarik pesan dakwah dalam konteks budaya lokalThis research examines the transformation of Abu Bakar Ba\u27asyir\u27s da\u27wah rhetoric from the qoul qodim narrative that rejects Pancasila to the qoul jadid that accepts and internalizes the country\u27s core values. This topic was chosen because the paradigm shift in the da\u27wah of a figure who has been stigmatized as radical, even by the international community, reflects the dynamics of religious communication in the context of Islam Nusantara and the challenges of integrating religious values with national identity. The research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical qualitative method, employing a corpus of lectures, video recordings, and in-depth interviews with Ba\u27asyir and his family as primary data, supported by symbolic observation at the Al-Mukmin Ngruki Islamic boarding school. Critical discourse analysis and thematic analysis were applied to identify shifts in ethos, pathos, and logos strategies, as well as contemporary ijtihad processes that recontextualize religious argumentation. The research findings indicate that the legitimacy of da\u27wah is shifting from exclusive theological authority to historical-cultural authority, emotional language is moving from moral threats to collective empathy narratives, and rational arguments are being recontextualized thru references to the historical background of the nation\u27s founding scholars. The combination of these three aspects strengthens the effectiveness of da\u27wah communication in a pluralistic society. In conclusion, Ba\u27asyir\u27s rhetorical transformation demonstrates the importance of contextualizing and inculturating religious messages to bridge monotheism and Pancasila values without losing theological substance. Research recommendations include developing adaptive da\u27wah communication training for scholars and da\u27is, integrating the study of ulama history into the da\u27wah curriculum, and utilizing local symbols and digital media to strengthen the legitimacy and appeal of da\u27wah messages within the local cultural context
