COOKING CLASS ACTIVITY IMPROVES FINE MOTOR DEVELOPMENT OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN
Introduction:Fine motor development is very important for children because it will effect motor skills for their hands, movement of the limbs associated with the movement of the fingers as a child’s preparation to write, draw and manipulate objects. If it is not fixed soon, it will effect the personality of the child. Cooking class activity uses cookie dough as a medium of playing so that the children will be trained in using of their limbs, especially fingers. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of cooking class activity to increase fine motor development of preschool children. Method:This study was a quasy experiment pre test – post test control group design. The samples were obtained by using purposive sampling. This study held in Kindergarten ‘AisyiyahBustanulAthfal 1 KertosonoNganjuk and the samples were 15 respondents devided into two group, treatment and control. The independent variable was the cooking class activity and the dependent variabel was fine motor development of preschool children, examined with Denver II test. Data was analysed by using wilcoxon signed rank test and mannwhitney u test with significance = 0.05. Result:The result of this study showed that the treatment group significantly increase in fine motor development with p = 0.008, while the control group had no significant increasing fine motor development with p = 0.083 and mannwhitney u test showed p = 0.013. Conclussion:It can be concluded that cooking class activity effect the increasing of the fine motor development of pre school children. So, it is suggested to parent, schools, and teachers to use this activity to improve the fine motor development of children.

COGNITIVE EMPOWERMENT MODEL DEVELOPMENT IN IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF NURSES AT RSUD IBNU SINA GRESIK
Introduction: Cognitive empowerment model of Thomas and Velthouse shows the importance of encouraging nurses to motivate yourself. The main objective of this study was to develop a model of cognitive empowerment in improving the performance of nurses in hospitals Ibnu Sina. Methods: This study used two stages, the first stage of the survey research design using a descriptive explanation then tested the model using Partial Least Square. The second stage was the empowerment of the cognitive test module, the research design was quasi-experimental (quasy experiment) were then tested Wilcoxon signed rank test and Mann Whitney. Result: Test Partial Least Square showed that psychological factors with path coefficients 0399 and the T-statistic 2,072 affect the empowerment of cognitive, individual factors with the path coefficient 0.335 and T-statistic 2,249, factors interpretarive syle with path coefficients 0,307 and the T-statistic 2,463 affect the empowerment of cognitive , while the leadership does not affect the enviroment event 0.035dan path coefficients T-statistics 0.505. Cognitive empowerment with path coefficients 0697 and the T-statistic 6.093 affect the performance. Wilcoxon statistical test showed there was effect on the performance of cognitive empowerment.Discuss and conclution: Psychological factors, individual characteristics and interpretative style is a factor that affects cognitive empowerment, which in turn can improve the performance of nurses. Further research can continue this research by applying the empowerment module elsewhere, so the module has been made more aplicable (can be used).

DEVELOPING A MEDICATION ERROR PREVENTION MODEL BASED ON KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AGAINST ADVERSE EVENT
Introductions: Medication errors are one of many types of errors that coulddecrease the quality and safety in health care. Increasing number of adverse events (KTD) reflects the number of medication errors. This study aims to develop a medication error prevention model based onknowledge management. This model is expected to improve knowledge and skill of nurses in order to prevent medication errors which characterized by the decrease of adverse events (KTD). Methods: This study was consisted of two stages. First stage of research was an explanative survey using cross sectional approach involving 15 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The second stagewas a pre-test experiment involving 29 respondents selected with cluster sampling. Partial Leas square (PLS) was used to examine the factors affecting medication error prevention model while the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to test the effect of medication error prevention model against adverse events (KTD). Results: Individual factors (path coefficient 12:56, t = 4,761) play important role in nurse behavioral changes about medication error prevention based in knowledge management, organizational factor (path coefficient = 0276, t = 2.504) play important role in nurse behavioral changes about medication error prevention based in knowledge management. Work characteristic factor (path coefficient = 0309, t = 1.98) play important role in nurse behavioral changes about medication error prevention based in knowledge management. The medication error prevention model based on knowledge management was also significantly decrease near missed (p = 0.000, α <0.05) and adverse event (p = 0.000, α <0.05). Conclusions: Factors of individuals, organizations and work characteristics were important in the development of medication errorprevention models based onknowledge management. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUPERVISION IN IMPROVING PERFORMANCE QUALITY OF THE NURSING UNIT MANAGER OF TAMAN HUSADA REGIONAL HOSPITAL, BONTANG
Introduction: Supervision on nursing service quality is vital in improving professional health service. However, the Head of Nursing Department rarely conducts supervision to monitor the performance of his/her subordinates recently.
Method: This study applied pre-experiment design with pre-test and posttest group design approach. The population of this study consists of the Head of Nursing Department and the Nursing Unit Manager. The sampling method applied in this study is total population method with the number of samples are 2 Heads of Nursing Department and 10 Nursing Unit Manager at Taman Husada Regional Hospital Bontang. The data taken includes the characteristics of the respondents, supervising skill of the Head of Nursing Department, and the performance of the Nursing Unit Manager. The data were collected through questionnaire and being analyzed using paired t-test and Wilcoxon test.
Findings: The result of analysis on the Head of Nursing Department planning skill was 6.1% and implementation skill was 21%. After intervention, the skills improved by 18.7%. Analysis on the Nursing Unit Manager skills indicated that their conceptual skill was 32%, technical skill 13.5%, and interpersonal skill 24.6%. The result of statistical analysis on the Nursing Unit Manager conceptual skill according to Wilcoxon Ranks test indicated p-value 0.005. The result of statistical analysis on the Nursing Unit Manager technical skill according to Paired t-test indicated p-value 0.005. The result of statistical analysis on the Nursing Unit Manager interpersonal skill according to Wilcoxon Ranks test indicated p-value 0.005.
Discussion: The findings of this study show the Head of Nursing Department and the Nursing Unit Manager improve after the intervention. Result of statistical analysis comparing performance effectiveness indicates significant difference before and after the intervention. The intervention is intended to improve supervising skill of the Head of Nursing Department supervision skill and to improve performance effectiveness of the Nursing Unit Manager in managing the treatment wards more optimally and efficiently. In order to improve nursing service quality all elements of hospital management should be involved.

ANALISIS FAKTOR PERILAKU SEKSUAL PADA ANAK SD DI SDN DUKUH KUPANG II – 489 KECAMATAN DUKUH PAKIS KELURAHAN DUKUH KUPANG SURABAYA
Introduction. Sexual behavior has multidimensional problem; regarded by various factors toward student in elementary school. The purpose of this study was to analyze and explained the correlated between sexual behavior and student in elementary school used Theory of Planned Behavior at SDN Dukuh Kupang II – 489 Kecamatan Dukuh Pakis Kelurahan Dukuh Kupang Surabaya.
Methods. Design in this study was descriptive analytical with cross-sectional approach. The population was all the student in 6 grade at SDN Dukuh Kupang II – 489 Kecamatan Dukuh Pakis Kelurahan Dukuh Kupang Surabaya 2014 – 2015 year of education. Total sample 32 respondens was collected from 54 students in 6 grade. The independent variable were background factors and subfactors. Background factors include personal factor (attitudes), social factors (age, gender, religion, and education), information factor (knowledge). Subfactors include behavioral beliefs, normative beliefs, and control beliefs. The dependent variable intention and attitude towards sexuality of elementary school student. Data were collected by questionnaires for independent variable and dependen variable. Data were analyzed by using Partial Least Square (PLS) with significance degree T-statistics ≥1,96.
Result and analysis. Result showed that attitude towards sexuality of elementary student was influence by intention (t=10,534). Intention was influence by sub factors behavioral beliefs (t=0,584), normative beliefs (t=0,918), and control beliefs (T=2,199).
Discussion. Background factors include personal factor (attitudes), social factors (age, gender, religion, and education), information factor (knowledge) has affected behavioral beliefs towards sexuality behavior of elementary school student. Background factors has affected normative beliefs towards sexuality behavior of elementary school student. Background factors has affected control beliefs towards sexuality behavior of elementary school student. Attitude towards sexuality of elementary school students has affected by intention.

AWARENESS AND BARRIERS TO TB DOTS PROGRAM IN SELECTED COMMUNITY IN INDONESIA: BASIS FOR INFORMATION DISSEMINATION CAMPAIGN MATERIAL
ABSTRACT
Background.Tuberculosis gets a priority attention in the world. The patients’ non-compliance with TB-DOTS included lack of the treatment knowledge. The objective of this study was conducted to determine the relationship of awareness and barriers in participants at the Dawarblandong Community Health Center, Mojokerto, Indonesia. Method.Descriptive correlation study was used. The participants were 34 patients who have not taken their anti-TB medication for a period of one month, failed and defaulted treatment based on the patients’ medical records from January 1st to December 31st 2013. Statistical data treatment used Pearson r. Result. The study showed that majority of the participants have low awareness on tuberculosis disease 20 (59%); most noteworthy was that most of them were unaware of the tuberculosis management 24 (71%). As regards to the barriers in terms of awareness revealed lack of information on how to prevent of disease, and lack of understanding about tuberculosis itself were the primary reasons. With regards to tuberculosis management, the barriers’ perceived were the long lines at the health center, works, the feeling of shame and financial constraints. Pearson r test revealed a negative significant relationship exists between level of awareness and perceived barriers in term of tuberculosis disease and tuberculosis management (r = - 0.734). Conclusion. It implies that lack of understanding due to unawareness would increase the perceived barrier to comply in tuberculosis treatment. The findings form the basis of designing an information dissemination campaign about Tuberculosis and the government’s TB-DOTS program.

HEALTH VOLUNTEER’S ROLE ENHANCEMENT AS A CHANGE AGENT OF LEPROSY RELATED STIGMA AT COMMUNITY BY USING TRAINING
Introduction : Skin hygiene is the main cause of Scabies. The high incidence rate of Scabies is caused by the low skin hygiene. The skin hygiene in Pondok Pesantren Al-Asror is in the lowest rank among other personal hygiene. Therefore, this research was purposed to analyze the change in willingness to maintain skin hygiene resulted from health counseling held in female dormitory of Pondok Pesantren Al-Asror (Islamic Educational Center), located in Bangkalan, Madura. Method : The research was pre-experimental one group pre-post test design. The population involved all female students, totally 125 students, in which 96 respondents were chosen as the samples by using the simple random sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaires spread before and after giving health counseling in the location mentioned above, then analyzed by using T-test with the significance level of 0.05. Result : The result of analysis using T-test showed that p = 0.000 which meant that there was a significant change in the intention after receiving health education. So p = < α so that H0 was rejected illustrating that there was a change in the intention to maintain the skin hygiene in the Islamic educational center. The research concluded that the health counseling can change the intention to maintain the skin hygiene. Hence, the students are expected to keep the skin hygiene to improve the health level.

PRESURGICAL SKIN PREPARATION WITH CHLORHEXIDINE GLUCONAT 2% BATH-CLOTH NO-RINSE FOR AVOIDING SURGICAL SITE INFECTION (SSI) IN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGICAL PATIENTS
Introduction: Surgical Site Infection (SSI) was common complication in orthopaedic surgical patients. Many studies show involvement of endogenous normal skin bacteria collonization that infects acute surgical wound (Eiselt, 2009). Chlorhexidine gluconate 2 % was a current material that was believed as a bacteriostatic and bactericide for reducing bacteria’s collonization on skin that caused SSI (Edmiston, 2013). There is no standardization of time, how many times a day, how much it was needed, and standard operating procedure for using this material for reducing SSI on orthopaedic Surgical Patients. The purpose of this study was to find the effectivity of Chlorhexidine Gluconat 2% bath-cloth no-rinse for avoiding SSI in Orthopaedic Surgical Patients. Method: A Quasy experimental with post-test only non-equivalent control group design. The Total sample were 18 patients with remove implant procedur which divided into two groups : (1) non-intervention control group, (2) group with Chlorhexidine Gluconat 2% bath-cloth no-rinse. The data of Surgical site infection level were collected using a daily obvservational of infection CDC and were analyzed by using Mann Whitney U Test. Result : The result show there was no significant difference on level of surgical site infection between Non-intervention control group and group with Chlorhexidine Gluconat 2% bath-cloth no-rinse (p = 0,16 ). Discussion : There was no significant effect of Chlorhexidine Gluconat 2% bath-cloth no-rinse for avoiding Surgical Site Infection (SSI) in Orthopaedic Surgical for the next study must be do on longer time ad specific measurement with clinical laboratory data

EFFECT OF MUSIC THERAPY ON PAIN, ANXIETY AND CORTISOL LEVEL IN PRIMIGRAVIDA DURING ACTIVE PHASE BASED ON KOLCABA’S THEORY
Background: Labor pain and anxiety are closely interrelated with each other. Pain and anxiety together canincrease level of cortisol, may result in a decrease uterine contractions so that the risk of causing prolonged labor.The purpose of this study were to examine the effect of music therapy in pain, anxiety, and cortisol level in primigravida during active phase of first stage labor.Method: This study was an experimental research approach with pre-test post-test design at Delivery room Puskesmas Jagir Surabaya. Research subjects of this study was recruited using simple random sampling who was included inclusion criterias. Research subjects in this study was of 32 people who were then divided into two groups, 16 mothers into intervention group and 16 mothers into control group. Data were collected by using observation with VAS and VAAPS, also took venous blood sampling for laboratory test of cortisol serum. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test and independent t-test. Result: The results showed that: 1) Score of VAS in intervention group was less than control group (p= 0,000), 2) Score of VAAPS in intervention group was less than control group (p=0,000), 3) There was no significant differences cortisol level between intervention group and control group (p=0,305). Discussion:Music therapy could reduce pain and anxiety, but could not reduce levelof cortisol in primigravida during active phase of first stage labor.Further research, music therapy should be given since the beginning of third trimester so that primigravida more prepared for childbirth.

Hal ini terjadi karena perawat masih belum mempunyai kemampuan yang memadai dalam penelitian, khususnya pemahaman tentang lingkup masalah penelitian ilmu keperawatan dan penerapan metodologi penelitian keperawatan yang sesuai.
