    Manfaat Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Bagi Pasien Dengan Gangguan Kecemasan

    Background: Psychological problems such as anxiety are one of the most common problems in the world. Handling for this anxiety problem is not adequate and requires a lot of money. Psychological intervention is needed to help patients overcome the anxiety they experience. Objective: To outline some of the benefits of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) intervention that can help patients reduce anxiety Method: The database used in this study was Scopus, Google Schoolar and Pubmed was limited to the last 5 years from 2015 to 2020, full text article in English. The keywords used were "Emotional Freedom Technique", "OR", "AND", "Anxiety", "AND", "Tapping". This systematic review used 11 articles that fit the inclusion criteria. Result: The EFT intervention was an easy, inexpensive and effective intervention. The benefits of the EFT intervention were reduce depression, anxiety, stress, increase immunological levels, reduce levels of cortisol in the blood and improve quality of life. Conclusion: EFT intervention has many benefits in helping patients who experience various psychological illnesses. Suggestion: EFT can be applied in health services or applied independently

    The effect of health education through brainstorming and booklet method on behavior in prevention of pulmonary Tb transmission

    Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The transmission of pulmonary Tuberculosis can be caused by poor patient behavior. This behavior is influenced by the TB client’s low level of knowledge about Tuberculosis and how to prevent transmission. This study aims to analyze the effect of health education through brainstorming and booklets on client behavior in preventing TB transmission. The population in this study were tuberculosis patents recorded from January to March 2017 with a sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling. The independent variable of this research was health education through brainstorming and booklets method. The dependent variable of this study was the client’s behavior in preventing tuberculosis transmission. The data collection used questionnaires and analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank test and Mann Whitney with significance α=0.05. Wilcoxon’s statistical test results in the treatment group showed the influence of health education on knowledge (p=0.001), attitudes (p=0.001), and actions (0.001). The results of the Mann Whitney statistical test after the intervention showed a significant effect on the application of brainstorming and booklets on client knowledge (p=0.000), attitudes (0.000), and actions (0.000). This study concluded that health education through brainstorming and booklets could improve the client’s knowledge, attitudes, and actions in preventing pulmonary tuberculosis transmission.     Nurses’ Role in Discharge Preparation for Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients

    Introduction: Patients with post hospitalized heart attack often feel insufficiently ready for the hospital to home transition. Problem focused on patients and health care providers can contribute to the significant residual risk seen in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Therefore, nurses could play an integral role in ensuring suitable care. The aim of this research was to investigate the role of nurses in patients with for acute coronary syndrome preparing for discharge. Method: An exploratory qualitative research design with phenomenology approach was used in the study. Data collection used semi-structured interviews with 15 nurses form 2 private hospitals in Yogyakarta. Data were collected from March to June 2020 with face to face interview and telephone call. Result: There are 5 themes of the role of nurses which are obtained from the result of the qualitative analysis consisting of: (1) Educator; (2) Care provider; (3) Motivator; (4) Collaborator; (5) Communicators.     The Relationship of Family Support with Psychological Conditions and Body Image of Breast Cancer Patients

    Abstract--- Patients with breast cancer will experience psychological stress in the form of depression and anxiety and changes in body shape that will affect the body image of breast cancer patients. Breast cancer patients need external support that can improve their psychological conditions and body image is undergoing treatment that requires a long time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between family support and psychological conditions and body image of breast cancer patients. The samples obtained were 116 breast cancer patients using purposive sampling. The independent variable is the family support. The dependent variable is a psychological condition and body image. The instruments in this study were in the form of family support questionnaire, psychological distress inventory (PDI) and body image scale (BIS), the data were analyzed with Spearman’s Rho. Breast cancer patients with positive family support were 98 (84.5%) respondents, positive psychological conditions were 91 (78.4%) respondents and positive body image were 94 (81.0%) respondents. There is a relationship between family support with the psychological condition of breast cancer patients (p=0.000. r=0,470) and family support with the body image of breast cancer patients (p=0,000. r=4,00). The role of family support greatly affects the psychological condition and body image of breast cancer patients. Therefore, nurses and other health services can convey to family members to continue to support, motivate and help the needs of breast cancer patients to improve their psychological condition and body image

    The Psychological Condition of the Parents of Children Suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy

    Fatigue during the treatment period results in a negative response when taking care of their disabled child. A change in the behavior of the parents has an impact on their physical and mental health. This study aims to explore the experience and psychological condition of the parents with children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This study was qualitative research with a phenomenological study approach. The participants totaled as many as 23 families selected through purposive sampling. Collecting the data was done through in-depth interviews analyzed thematically using Colaizzi’s steps. The results show that the experience of the parents of children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy consists of 17 themes formed of 5 categories and 33 sub-themes. The parents’ experience related to their children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy can be described referencing the following: 1) The parent's understanding of the childhood illness, 2) Parental burden, 3) The influence of illness on the family, 4) Self-obstacles, 5) Infrastructure barriers, 6) Grieving, 7) Sources of support, 8) Type of support, 9) Division of roles, 10) Coping mechanisms, 11) Skill improvements, 12) Efforts when looking for help, 13) The development of the children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, 14) Comorbidities in the children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, 15) Substitute caregivers, 16) Acceptance and 17) Policy. The experience of the parents with children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Indonesia is one that requires support from within themselves, from within their families and socially to reduce the burden and obstacles felt by the parents.     The influence of buteyko respiratory technique on the decreased degree of shortness in asthma patients in pulmonary poly

    Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airway. The breathing technique developed to control asthma is the Buteyko breathing technique. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Buteyko’s breathing technique on decreasing the degree of shortness in asthma patients. The design of this study was the Quasy Experiment. Respondents were 18 divided into control groups and treatment groups by the Consecutive Sampling technique. The independent variable was Buteyko’s breathing technique. The dependent variable was the degree of shortness. Data was taken with practice every day for a week and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank statistical test, Paired T-test, Mann Whitney, and Independent T-test. In the treatment group there were differences before and after the intervention in: respiratory frequency (p = 0.000), pulse (p = 0.001), and degree of shortness (p = 0.014), except for the use of respiratory muscles (p = 1.000). In the control group, differences were found, respiratory rate (p = 0.002), degree of difficulty (p = 0.046), except for pulses (p = 0.908), use of respiratory muscles (1.000). Independent T-test showed there were differences in respiratory rates (RR) (p = 0.019), pulse (p = 0.001) in the treatment or control group, while Mann Whitney showed no difference in the degree of shortness (p = 0.011) and there was no difference in the use of breathing muscles (p = 1.000). The results showed that there was an influence of Buteyko’s breathing technique on decreasing the degree of shortness in asthma

    The Effect of Reminiscence Therapy on The Level of Anxiety for Elderly People

    The amount of anxiety was increased in the elderly person. The anxiety was caused by several factors, and there were elderly internal factors and the environment. Anxiety had a negative impact on the elderly’s life. One of the non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to treat anxiety was reminiscence therapy. Reminiscence therapy was an intervention that memorizes a beautiful experience. This research was aimed to determine the effect of reminiscence therapy to reduce the elderly’s anxiety level. This research used Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-Post Test design. The population of this research was 20 elderly who experience anxiety. This research used a total sampling technique.The number of respondents in this study was 20 respondents. The independent variable in this research was reminiscence therapy, and the dependent variable was the level of anxiety. Data were collected using the Zung Self-Rated Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) questionnaires which consisted of 20 questions. The anxiety levels were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, with a level of significance α<0.05. The results showed that reminiscence therapy influenced the anxiety level with a significant level of p=0.000. This reminiscence therapy could reduce the anxiety level of the elderly. This therapy was recommended as one of the options that can be used modality therapy in the elderly who experience anxiet

    The psycho-social adaptation of the elderly in retirement is influenced by several factors, including government policies and pension stigma received by the elderly from the surrounding community. The study aimed to examine the relationship between government policy and retirement stigma with psychosocial adaptation among the elderly in Jombang Regency. The crosssectional study design was applied in this study. One hundred seventy samples were recruited using a simple random sampling.The results showed that there is a relationship between policy government (p-value<0.05) and retirement stigma (p-value<0.05) with psychosocial adaptation. The regulation of retirement needs to recognize through a holistic approach. The community involvement and support also need to apply to reduce the stigma among the elderly to improve their productivit

    THE ROLE OF SOCIAL SUPPORT ON TREATMENT ADHERENCE IN TB PATIENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

    Background: Adherence to treatment regimens in TB patients was carried out by using a pharmacological and non-pharmacological approach or paying attention to the social aspects of the patient. • Objective: This review is to analyze and identify the literature related to the social support approach to treatment adherence in TB patients. • Design: The systematic design of this review is to find and review journal articles from the database using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). • Data Sources: This systematic review is based on literature studies from various journal data bases in the last 5 years, including Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest and Google Scholar by conducting a comprehensive review. The keywords in this Systematic review are adjusted to the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) and use a combination of Boolean operators (AND and OR), namely "Social Support" OR "Family Support" OR "Peer Group Support" OR "Nurse Support" AND "adherence OR Compliance" AND "Tuberculosis" OR "pulmonary TB”. • Review Methods: The review method on this systematic review uses the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Evaluation) guidelines and the assessment of the quality of the study in the article uses the JBI critical appraisal tools. • Results: In this literature ten articles fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria and relate to the topic. It was found that social support which includes family support, peer support and support from health workers is one of the driving factors for treatment adherence in TB patients. • Conclusion: Aspects of social support which include family support, peer group support and support from health workers have an important role and become a driving factor for TB patients to adhere to the treatment regimen. For further research, the development of interventions to improve adherence to TB patients needs to consider these social aspects

    Lived Experience of People Living with HIV/AIDS Undergoing Antiretroviral Therapy: A Qualitative Study

    Introduction: Antiretroviral therapy is an important factor in improving the quality of life of HIV sufferers, but a complex problem in HIV sufferers is a trigger factor for non-compliance in undergoing ARV therapy. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) undergoing antiretroviral treatment. Methods: This study was a qualitative phenomenological study, with a sample of 13 HIV patients (10 men and 3 women) who were taking antiretroviral therapy for more than one year; they were recruited using urposive sampling techniques, and data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews, field notes and document reviews. Data were analyzed using the Colaizzi method which consists of nine stages. Results: There were six themes that emerged from the experience of PLWHA undergoing antiretroviral therapy and these became the subject of this study, namely knowledge of HIV disease and antiretroviral drugs, self-motivation, social support, and skills in undergoing treatment (selfmanagement), adherence, and quality of life. Conclusion: Of the six themes that emerged, poor knowledge (understanding of the disease and its treatment), social support and selfmanagement were the main factors that were obstacles to and causes of treatment failure; this was due to the unpreparedness for receiving information at the beginning of treatment, lack of motivation, and ignorance in behavior when people had problems with medication
