Looking for the Personal and Professional-pedagogical Identification of Middle School Teachers during the Communist Period (1949–1989) in Hungary
The aim of this thesis is to show how identity and professional-pedagogical identification in pedagogy were transformed in the second half of the 20th century under the totalitarian communist dictatorship in Hungary. He gives examples and wants to demonstrate that memory (remembering) not only makes the present but also reveals the experience of the past and transfers it in its personal character into the present. Memory (the practical past) makes possible what is lost through the repeated experience of life. Furthermore, she uses the personal life histories of secondary school teachers to demonstrate that remembering has a significant impact on the production of (new) historical knowledge at both individual and group levels (Gyáni, 2020, p. 354)

The impact of the effective tax rate change on financial assets of commercial banks: The case of Visegrad group countries
While many tax professionals have discussed corporate taxation in the banking sector and its effectiveness on bank institutions, investment decisions, bank size, asset structure, or bank rentability, there is little evidence of tax efficiency within V-4 Group. The research on banks and tax rates is mainly based on American data. Few papers solved banking stability and corporate taxes within the European countries. This paper examines effective corporate taxation in the banking sector of the V-4 Group and aims to find out how the effective tax rate change affects commercial banks’ financial assets. In this study, we examine the relationship between variables using regression analysis in which we assess the impact of ETR on bank financial assets. We examined data in the consolidated financial statements data of commercial banks and tested their impact on the economy. Our findings supported the theory that ETR impacts the banking sector, particularly capital and equity financing. However, the results did not prove the research hypothesis, in which we assumed that an increase in ETR would lead to an increase in financial assets. Based on our results, it leads to an increase in equity assets (7.34%) and a decline in debt assets (16.83%)
Construction of reciprocals for real numbers on unit conics
Článek se zabývá konstrukcí převrácených hodnot reálných čísel použitím jednotkových kuželoseček a využitím předvedených konstrukcí k určení hodnoty tzv. pythagorejských průměrů.The article deals with the construction of reciprocals of real numbers using unit conic sections. The demonstrated methods are then used to determine the value of the so-called Pythagorean means. Finally, a few remarks are made about the Pythagorean means and the way they were calculated by Greek mathematicians

Word or Sign? A Discussion on the Use of Sign Language in Institutes for the Deaf and Dumb in the First Half of the 20th Century
Based on contemporary texts, the paper presents in detail the course and results of the discussions on educational methods and the use of sign language in institutes for the deaf and dumb in Bohemia and Moravia in the first half of the 20th century. The discussions were participated in by prominent educators, other personalities, and the deaf themselves. It focuses in particular on the moments when the voices of the opponents of oral methods, which were uniformly preferred in deaf education, were becoming stronger and presents the most frequent arguments for and against their use
Statistical testing of hypotheses three times in a different way
Za jednu z největších kontroverzí v historii statistiky je považován spor o správné provádění testů statistické významnosti. Počátky tohoto sporu lze zaznamenat již v první polovině 20. století. Na jedné straně zde stojí významný anglický statistik R. A. Fisher a proti němu polský matematik J. Neyman spolu s anglickým statistikem E. Pearsonem. Spojením těchto dvou přístupů nakonec vznikla metoda statistického testování nulové hypotézy (NHST), která je dnes běžně používána v empirickém výzkumu. Článek popisuje podstatu a rozdíly těchto tří způsobů testování v matematickém a historickém kontextu. One of the biggest controversies in the history of statistics is considered the dispute over the correct conduct of statistical significance tests. The beginning of this dispute can be traced back to the first half of the 20th century. On the one hand, there is the important English statistician R. A. Fisher and against him Polish mathematician J. Neyman together with English statistician E. Pearson. The combination of these two approaches finally led to the method of null hypothesis statistical testing (NHST), which is commonly used in empirical research today. The article describes the essence and differences of these testing methods in mathematical and historical context
