Bratislava two days with the didactics of mathematics
V príspevku informujeme o hybridne organizovanej konferencii Dva dni s didaktikou matematiky na pôde FMFI UK v Bratislave. Stručne opisujeme pozadie jej vzniku, programovú štruktúru a kľúčové diskutované témy na jej šiestom ročníku

Laserem řízená manipulace s hmotou v nanoměřítku
ORCID ID 0000-0002-9865-1826The current habilitation thesis deals with the production of nanomaterials
and their modification by means of laser-mediated strategies.
The topic is addressed by analyzing a collection of twelve
scientific articles, of which I am the principal author or one of the
principal co-authors. The articles were prepared and published during
the solution of various consecutive projects having as a central
aim the study and development of nanomaterials for life sciencerelated
applications, of which I was part of the solving team with
the role of a senior researcher.
The collection is divided into three main groups that represent the
research lines I have been following during my scientific carrier; element
rearrangement in nanocomposites, nanoalloy formation and
the junction of multiple elements, and nanomaterials morphology
control. The analysis of every articles group provides an in-depth
view of the different strategies I have developed together with my
collaborators at the TUL and foreign institutions to face the most
difficult challenges related to the laser-mediated synthesis and modification
of materials, i.e., the lack of control over the element
composition and distribution within the laser-produced materials,
and the difficulty to manipulate their morphology. This analysis
discusses topics such as laser modification of nanocomposites,
hybridization between noble metals and semiconductors, junction
of multiple elements in single systems or reshaping of micro and
nanomaterials. The questions that still exist in each research line
are presented, and the proposals I suggest to face these challenges
objectively are explained. Finally, the relevance of these topics
is reviewed within the framework of the applications that derive
from their implementation and how further developments in these
fields can impact our society’s progress
Spatial imagination and visualization skills of the future teachers at elementary schools
Cieľom výskumnej časti bolo identifikovať a následne analyzovať chyby a postupy študentských riešení s akcentom na porozumenie, schopnosť vizualizácie a grafické znázornenie jedného neštandardného stereometrického problému. In the paper, we wanted to point out the need to increase spatial skills as one of the components of mathematical literacy in the education of future primary school teachers. The aim of the research was to identify and then to analyze mistakes and procedures of student solutions with an emphasis on understanding, the ability to visualize and graphically illustrate one unusual stereometric problem. The sample consisted of 48 future primary school teachers. The analysis showed a strong student bond to an image, students preferred spatial graphical representation of individual situations in partial tasks, there has been a serious misunderstanding in determining the cube volume in a non-standard situation and reading comprehension problems. The possibilities of using GeoGebra software and manipulative activities in problem solving are presented too

Transformation of foam material in the presence of external influences
The assignment of the bachelor thesis is devoted to the unconventional use of foam in sculptural forms. Taking into account its specific properties. Structure, texture or its ease of workability. The aim is to use the material in such a way that it gives the impression of classic materials such as stone, wood or concrete. To deal with different techniques of processing foam, such as cutting, bending, layering or granulating, to achieve the desired shapes and structures. Art installation, working with the intention of transformation and transfiguration and challenging traditional ideas of durability and stability
