Sustainability Assessment and Reporting in Higher Education Sector:
No full textHigher education institutions (HEIs) play a major role in advancing sustainability through
teaching, research, and institutional management. However, inconsistencies in sustainability
assessment and reporting practices persist across the higher education sector due to a missing
standardised framework that incorporates practice-specific and sector-specific characteristics.
Thus, this thesis aims to develop practically relevant sustainability indicators for HEIs, using
the UNISIMS project as a case study to explore and validate these indicators in German HEIs.
A participatory approach involving key stakeholders has been employed to develop and validate
sustainability assessment indicators. The research addresses the two fundamental questions:
1. How can sustainability assessment and reporting be developed using a participatory
approach?
2. How can such an approach be implemented in the reporting practices of German HEIs?
This study provides a systematic literature review, stakeholder engagement and iterative testing
to induce the development of sustainability indicators. The findings reveal significant variations
in how HEIs integrate sustainability into teaching and research. Institutions with established
governance structures demonstrated stronger sustainability integration, whereas those without
such frameworks remained in the initial stages of implementation.
While the UNISIMS project is a major contemporary advancement, this thesis identifies several
ongoing challenges, including data collection, reporting standardisation, resource shortage and
various institutional engagements. It emphasises the need for practice-oriented, institution-specific
indicators that reflect the diversity of sustainability challenges faced by HEIs. Beyond its
immediate application within German HEIs, this research holds global relevance for sustainability
assessment in higher education.
Future research should focus on the applicability of the UNISIMS model beyond Germany.

No full textTato bakalářská práce se zabývá literárním ztvárněním odsunu německého obyvatelstva z Československa po druhé světové válce se zaměřením na román Wohin wir gehen od německé autorky Peggy Mädler. Práce propojuje literárněvědnou analýzu s kulturněhistorickým pohledem a sleduje, jakým způsobem je město Liberec - významný prostor pro německo-české soužití - v románu zachyceno a jakou roli hraje v procesu hledání identity postav.
Text si klade za cíl analyzovat, jak román reflektuje historické události, zejména vyhnání německé menšiny, a jakým způsobem jsou v něm zobrazeny vztahy mezi Čechy a Němci. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována tomu, zda román reprodukuje stereotypy, nebo se snaží o vícevrstevnatý pohled. Dále se práce zabývá formálními a narativními strategiemi autorky, včetně využití fragmentárního vyprávění a genealogického přístupu k paměti.
Součástí výzkumu je také rozhovor s autorkou románu, který poskytuje cenný vhled do jejích záměrů, inspiračních zdrojů a postojů k tématu vyhnání. Výsledky ukazují, že Wohin wir gehen nabízí nejen literární zpracování historických traumat, ale zároveň otevírá prostor pro dialogické vzpomínání a mezigenerační porozumění. Liberec zde vystupuje nejen jako kulisa, ale jako aktivní paměťové místo a symbol kulturního zlomu.This bachelor's thesis focuses on the literary depiction of the expulsion of the German population from Czechoslovakia after World War II, with a particular emphasis on the novel Wohin wir gehen by the German author Peggy Mädler. The thesis combines literary analysis with a cultural-historical perspective and explores how the city of Liberec - a key site of Czech-German coexistence - is portrayed in the novel and what role it plays in the characters' search for identity.
The aim of this thesis is to analyse, how the novel reflects historical events, especially the expulsion of the German minority, and how the relationship between Czechs and Germans is represented. A special focus is placed on whether the novel reproduces stereotypes or presents a more nuanced view. The thesis also examines the narrative and stylistic strategies used by the author, including a fragmentary structure and genealogical approaches to memory.
Part of the research includes an interview with Peggy Mädler, providing valuable insights into her motivations, sources of inspiration, and views on the topic. The analysis shows that Wohin wir gehen is not only a literary treatment of historical trauma but also creates space for dialogical memory and intergenerational understanding. Liberec appears not merely as a backdrop, but as an active site of memory and a symbol of cultural transformatio

První video, které natočil neznámý autor, obsahuje nejrychlejší vítězství norského velmistra Magnuse Carlsena. Druhé video se zaměřuje na zápas světového poháru, v němž Magnus Carlsen sehrál partii proti mladému Vincentu Keymerovi z Německa, kterou komentoval profesionální komentátor Sagar Shah. Teoretická část představuje různé definice jazykových jevů. Praktická část
se zabývá hledáním a porovnáváním jazykových jevů. Hledanými jevy jsou užívání časů, slovesné typy, spekulativní jazyk a neurčitá slovesa, z nichž se pak vytvářejí statistiky. Jazykové jevy jsou uvedeny do souvislosti se světem šachu. Konkrétní příklady jsou vysvětleny a komentovány pomocí různých zdrojů a ze získaných statistik je vytvořeno srovnání případů.This bachelor thesis focuses on a linguistic comparison of two videos focusing on chess matches. The first video, made by an unknown author, contains the fastest wins of the Norwegian Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen. The second video focuses on a World Cup match, where Magnus Carlsen played a game against the young Vincent Keymer from Germany, which was commented on by a professional commentator named Sagar Shah. The theoretical part presents different definitions of linguistic phenomena. The practical part looks for language phenomena. The phenomena searched are tense usage, verb types, speculative language, and non-finite verbs, from which statistics are then produced. The linguistic phenomena are brought into connection with the world of chess. Specific examples are explained and commented on with the help of various sources, and the comparison of instances is made from the obtained statistics

Práce se zaměřuje na míru připravenosti tohoto sektoru na požadavky a transformace vyplývající z této strategie, a současně identifikuje rizika a výzvy, které mohou nastat v souvislosti s jejím zaváděním. Součástí práce je podrobný rozbor základních principů a cílů Zelené dohody, včetně konkrétních opatření. Práce dále rozebírá legislativní rámec, finanční nástroje a strategické mechanismy podpory dekarbonizace, elektrifikace, digitalizace a modernizace energetické infrastruktury. Pozornost je věnována i dopadu na český průmysl obecně, a to jak z hlediska právního, tak i ekonomického. Praktickou část tvoří případová studie společnosti ČEZ Distribuce, a.s., která poskytuje konkrétní přehled o dosavadních i plánovaných investicích, interních a externích zdrojích financování a hodnotí připravenost tohoto subjektu na transformaci související s implementací Zelené dohody. Práce vychází z aktuálních strategických dokumentů EU a ČR, platné legislativy a dostupných dat z let 2020-2024.This bachelor's thesis focuses on analyzing the impact of the European Green Deal on the energy sector of the Czech Republic. The thesis examines the sector's level of preparedness for the requirements and transformations arising from this strategy, while also identifying potential risks and challenges associated with its implementation. It includes a detailed analysis of the fundamental principles and objectives of the Green Deal, along with specific measures. Furthermore, the thesis explores the legislative framework, financial instruments, and strategic mechanisms supporting decarbonization, electrification, digitalization, and the modernization of energy infrastructure. Attention is also given to the impact on Czech industry more broadly, from both legal and economic perspectives. The practical part consists of a case study of the company ČEZ Distribuce, a.s., providing a detailed overview of past and planned investments, internal and external sources of financing, and an evaluation of the company's readiness for the transformation related to the implementation of the Green Deal. Výstupem je konkrétní návrh výukového projektu zaměřeného na podporu environmentální gramotnosti, udržitelného myšlení a komunitní spolupráce. Projekt byl realizován Ekotýmem Základní školy Movere ve spolupráci s odborem životního prostředí Městského úřadu Kralupy nad Vltavou. Jeho průběh a výsledky ukazují, že projektová výuka může výrazně přispět
k rozvoji geografického myšlení žáků - zejména v oblasti prostorových souvislostí, vztahu k místu a porozumění lokálním environmentálním jevům.This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of project-based education addressing environmental issues in the local context of the town of Kralupy nad Vltavou. It integrates principles of place-based learning, environmental education, and the active involvement of primary school pupils in hands-on activities. The outcome is a detailed proposal of a school project aimed at fostering environmental literacy, sustainable thinking, and cooperation with the community. The project was implemented by the Eco-team of Movere Primary School in cooperation with the Department of the Environment of the Municipal Office of Kralupy nad Vltavou. Its course and outcomes demonstrate that project-based learning can significantly contribute to the development of pupils' geographical thinking - particularly in terms of spatial relationships, sense of place, and understanding of local environmental phenomena

No full textBakalářská práce se zabývá netradičními výtvarnými pomůckami, které se mohou využívat ve výtvarné výchově v mateřské škole. Cílem práce bylo realizování výroby netradičních pomůcek, na kterých se podílely samy děti a jejich následné využití ve výtvarných činnostech.
Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části je rozepsáno předškolní období dítěte. Následuje kapitola o jemné motorice. Poté je výtvarný projev dítěte a pojmy tradiční a netradiční techniky. Dále je kapitola o pomůckách a nástrojích. Navazuje o materiálech. Závěrem teoretické části je poučení o bezpečnosti při práci a tvorbě pomůcek a technik. Praktická část je soustředěna na popis a průběh tvoření, samotné pozorování a jeho poznatky z realizace činností a výroby pomůcek. Dále rozhovory s dětmi před i po tvoření, které jsou propojené se závěrečnou reflexí.The bachelor's thesis focuses on unconventional art tools that can be used in art education in kindergartens. The goal of the thesis was to implement the production of unconventional tools, in which the children themselves were involved, and their subsequent use in artistic activities.
The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the preschool developmental period of a child. It continues with a chapter on fine motor skills, followed by the child's artistic expression and the concepts of traditional and nontraditional techniques. Further chapters deal with tools and instruments, and materials. The practical part focuses on the description and process of the creation, the actual observation, and its insights from the implementation of activities and tool production. It also includes interviews with the children before and after the creation, which are connected with final reflection

No full textTato bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením tribologických a fyzikálně mechanických vlastností tenkých vrstev typu kovových skel (W-Zr-B), připravených ve spolupráci s firmou SHM s.r.o. pomocí kombinace dvou technologií nanášení povlaků - nízkonapěťový oblouk a magnetronové naprašování. Cílem práce je posoudit vliv obsahu slitiny Zr-B na strukturu, tvrdost a tribologické vlastnosti výsledných vrstev. Teoretická část se věnuje využití tenkých vrstev v průmyslu, metodám jejich depozice a hodnocení funkčních vlastností. V experimentální části jsou prezentovány výsledky měření mechanických a tribologických parametrů a jejich závislost na složení vrstev. Výsledky přispívají k optimalizaci složení povlaků pro zvýšení jejich mechanické odolnosti a funkčnosti pro využití v technických aplikacích.This bachelor's thesis focuses on the evaluation of the tribological and physico-mechanical properties of thin film metallic glass (W-Zr-B), prepared in collaboration with the company SHM s.r.o. using a combination of two deposition technologies - low-voltage arc and magnetron sputtering. The aim of the study is to assess the influence of the Zr-B alloy content on the structure, hardness, and tribological properties of the resulting layers. The theoretical section discusses the industrial applications of thin films, deposition methods, and the evaluation of functional properties. The experimental section presents the results of mechanical and tribological parameter measurements and their dependence on the composition of the layers. The findings contribute to the optimisation of coating composition to enhance mechanical durability and functionality for technical applications

Attitudes of manufacturers toward the value attributes of regional product brands
Get PDFThe increasing consumption of regional products is pivotal in fostering regional development, a phenomenon analyzed in various academic discourses. This article aims to contribute to the existing knowledge base by exploring the attributes of regional brands of products, specifically from the perspective of regional producers (regional brand of product holders). Unfortunately, this topic remains underexplored within academia, resulting in the need for an in-depth investigation. The article undertook a comprehensive analysis of articles in reputable databases such as Web of Science and Scopus, focusing on brand, brand equity, and regional product brands to address this research gap. The primary objective of this article is to describe the attitudes ofregional brand producers towards attributes of brand equity in the case ofregional brand products. The paper also presents the outcomes of quantitative marketing research. The research employed the computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) method, collecting data between November and December 2023. The presented research is based on a substantial sample of 101 respondents from the Czech Republic. The statistical software IBM SPS Statistics and XLSTAT program were subsequently used for data calculation and presentation. Semantic differential, descriptive statistics, and hierarchical cluster analysis were applied to the data analysis. It was found that some groups of regional producers have similar attitudes toward the attributes of regional product brands. All results and findings are then discussed. Exploration advances the understanding of regional product brands’ dynamics and provides a valuable foundation for future research in this field
