How does top management’s environmental awareness influence green innovation: The moderating role of absorptive capacity and slack resources

Based on the upper echelons theory, dynamic capability theory, and resource-based view, this study explores the impact of top management’s environmental awareness (TMEA) on green innovation (GI), the moderating role of absorptive capacity (AC) and slack resources (SR). Using the data of A-shared listed manufacturing firms in China from 2010–2023, this study finds that TMEA has a significant positive effect on GI. Furthermore, AC and unabsorbed slack resources (USR) strengthen the effect of TMEA on GI, whereas absorbed slack resources (ASR) weaken the effect of TMEA on GI. The results provide a more comprehensive understanding for enterprises to implement GI, expand boundary conditions between TMEA and GI, and contribute to the improvement of research on GI

The use of natural dyes is an effort to reduce the impact of environmental pollution on the production process of batik that uses synthetic colors. This experimental study aims to explore the stages and results of the natural color dyeing of mango leaf extract by using different fixator variables and batting processes. Batik cloth is dyed three times in a solution of mango leaf extract as a dependent variable, then fixed with a lime solution (Ca(OH)2), an alum solution (Al2(SO4)3K2SO424H2O) and a ferrous sulfate solution (FeSO4.7H2O) as an independent variable. Results of the study: 1) The stages of the process of dyeing plain and patterned batik cloth with Mango Gedong Lip Batik leaf extract with a fixator of lime solution, alum, and ferrous sulfate solution are carried out through the following stages: processing the fabric and dye of mango leaf extract, writing motifs with canting caps, dipping batik fabric, fixing batik fabrics with fixators, and releasing wax from batik fabric; 2) The results of dyeing plain and patterned batik cloth with Gedong Gincu Mango leaf extracts with lime solution fixators tend to be brown; alum fixation produces original colors; and ferrous sulfate fixators produce colors that tend to be blackish-green. The dyeing results on plain batik fabrics have stronger color intensity than the dyeing results on patterned batik fabrics because they undergo the nglorod process (separation of batik wax from batik fabric) with hot water added with sodium carbonate auxiliary substances (Na2CO3). Research recommends that artisans utilize plant waste to promote the green industry

Charting the path to consumer satisfaction: An innovative investigation into fresh e-commerce through text mining and spatiotemporal analysis

The rapid expansion of fresh food e-commerce introduces significant challenges in logistics service quality due to the perishability of products. However, the effects of these challenges on customer satisfaction, particularly across different regions and seasons, have been insufficiently explored. This study addresses this gap by analyzing Jingdong (JD)’s e-commerce reviews using latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic models to extract dimensions of logistics service quality, combined with sentiment analysis to evaluate both service quality and customer satisfaction. The research investigates how logistics service quality influences satisfaction, accounting for spatial and temporal variations. Key findings reveal that logistics attributes such as quality assurance, reliability, and convenience play a crucial role in shaping customer satisfaction, with their relative importance differing by region and season. For example, convenience is more critical in remote areas, whereas affluent regions place greater emphasis on empathy. Additionally, higher temperatures amplify the impact of logistics attributes. Repeat customers tend to demand higher service quality compared to first-time buyers. These insights provide actionable recommendations for e-commerce firms seeking to optimize logistics services and enhance their competitiveness

IMPROVE THE ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES OF COTTON BANDAGES COATED WITH SILVER PARTICLES AND FINISHED WITH A NATURALLY EXTRACTED DYE

We created antibacterial stretchable medicated textiles. Initially, we used a versatile one-pot green synthesis method to produce a concentrated and stable colloidal solution of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) by selfassembling tannic acid, avoiding any harmful chemicals. The silver particles were later deposited on the cotton fabrics. The surface morphologies were analyzed by SEM and the presence of metals was inspected by dynamic light scattering and XRD. In second step, the natural antibacterial dye from the pomegranate peel was prepared and the fabrics of silver coated cotton were treated by the exhaust dyeing method. We assessed the CILAB (L*, a*, b*, C, h, and K/S) and color fastness properties of the dyed fabric samples. Additionally, we evaluated the antipathogenic properties (antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal) of all coated fabrics

Multivariate time series models of development for countries with transitional economies and prospects for post-COVID growth

The study aims to compare the economic achievements of the Visegrad Group (V4), the Baltic states (B3), Central Asia (CA4) and Balkan states (BA5), Kazakhstan on their way to joining the group of developed countries and to analyze the dynamics of their economic development. The results of studying the average annual growth rates of gross domestic product on the example of V4, B3, and Kazakhstan allowed for establishing the main patterns and trends of economic development in the pre-crisis, crisis, and post-crisis periods. The econometric modeling results indicate that an increase in employment levels contributes to per capita GDP growth. In turn, higher expenditures on domestic capital formation, the development of export-oriented industries, and the enhancement of regional specialization contribute to a more sustainable economic growth trajectory, as well as improved labor productivity, higher wages, and reduced unemployment. Poland and the Czech Republic exemplify this economic model. The study data confirm the possibility of solving the problem of countries with transitional economies entry into the number of developed countries by 2050 if the relevant conclusions are made from the analysis of the successful practice of V4 and B3 countries’ development

Determinants of logistics service supplier choice for electronics exporters: Evidence from an emerging market

This study aims to explore important factors influencing the decision-making process in selecting logistics service suppliers by electronic component export companies in Vietnam, with a particular focus on local service providers (LSPs). The research involved in-depth interviews with eight logistics experts and a quantitative survey of 300 representatives from electronic component export companies. Data was collected through online surveys, then analyzed using the SEM model. The findings indicate that six key factors influence the decision-making process. Among them, cost competitiveness, the reputation of logistics suppliers, and service quality directly affect the selection of logistics services, while management capabilities, technical and information processing skills, and the pursuit of sustainable development have indirect effects. These results offer useful insights for LSPs, enabling them to align their services with the specific needs of electronic component exporters and improve their market competitiveness

In today’s digital landscape, the transformation through digital technologies is revolutionizing traditional business models and innovation practices. Numerous organizations are accelerating their digital transformation efforts to enhance manufacturing capabilities, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. While the significant role of digital transformation in economic development has been widely recognized in academic literature, research exploring the complex interplay between digital transformation and innovation strategies remains limited. This study aims to explore this relationship by utilizing annual report data and patent information from Chinese listed companies over the period from 2012 to 2021. Our findings indicate that digital transformation has a positive impact on both R&D input strategies and innovation output strategies. Specifically, it increases firms’ propensity to invest in R&D activities, thereby increasing potential future innovation returns. Moreover, digital transformation bolsters both strategic and substantive innovation by leveraging digital capabilities for better resource integration. This paper significantly contributes to the existing literature on digital transformation and innovation strategies, offering valuable insights that can facilitate higher levels of digital transformation and promote high-quality economic development
