Survey of Post-Quantum Cryptographic Chips: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Directions

    No full text
The development of quantum computing poses a serious threat to traditional cryptographic systems and has driven the rapid development of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). Specialized hardware solutions, especially PQC chips, are considered a key to achieving secure and efficient migration of quantum cryptography. This review first introduces the relevant background and the main PQC schemes and then focuses on analyzing the design challenges and bottlenecks faced by the design of PQC chips. Next, the development status and unresolved issues of different technologies, such as Central Processing Unit (CPU) Instruction-Set Extension (ISE), Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), and Domain-Specific Accelerators (DSA), are further organized and analyzed. Finally, on the basis of specific application requirements, the future development technology path of PQC chips is discussed

Cosmological inference with cosmic voids and neural network emulators

    No full text
Context. Cosmic voids are a promising probe of cosmology for spectroscopic galaxy surveys due to their unique response to cosmological parameters. Their combination with other probes promises to break parameter degeneracies. Aims. Due to simplifying assumptions, analytical models for void statistics represent only a subset of the full void population. We present a set of neural-based emulators for void summary statistics of watershed voids, which retain more information about the full void population than simplified analytical models. Methods. We built emulators for the void size function and void density profiles traced by the halo number density using the QUIJOT

Le spectre de la performance : comment la photonique cultive l’agriculture de demain

    No full text

    No full text

Vacuum–Suction Technology integrated with water, gas and solid waste treatment: A comprehensive solution for urban and industrial environments in Vietnam

    No full text
Water pollution, industrial exhaust gases, and hazardous solid waste pose significant challenges for Vietnam and other developing countries, while conventional treatment technologies often address only a single group of pollutants, with low efficiency and high operating costs. This study introduces the Vacuum–suction technology as an integrated solution capable of simultaneously treating wastewater, exhaust gases, and solid waste within a single closed system. The operating principle combines vacuum suction and compression pressure to maximize gas–liquid mixing and contact within the enclosed Octola reactor, thereby enhancing neutralization, precipitation, and absorption efficiency. Results show that, for industrial wastewater, the system achieved removal efficiencies of 87.1% for COD, 88.6% for TSS, 90.0% for NH3–N, >85% for heavy metals, and 99.4% for total coliforms, meeting both Vietnamese QCVN and WHO standards for water reuse. For exhaust gases, the system removed 91.8% SO2, 85.7% NOx, >95% HCl and HF, >90% VOCs and CO, and 92% total particulates, while reducing chemical consumption by 30–50% compared with conventional wet scrubbers. In solid waste treatment, leachable heavy metals from sludge and bottom ash decreased by more than 98%, with a 90% reduction in landfill volume and recovery of valuable metals. Compared with current technologies, this system reduces installation footprint by up to 40%, shortens hydraulic retention time to 2–4 hours, and enables resource recovery after treatment. With its high treatment efficiency, multi-functional integration, and broad application potential, Vacuum–suction technology offers a viable solution for waste management and environmental protection towards a circular economy

The Effects of Indoor Air Pollution from Solid Fuel Burning on Neurological and Neuropsychiatric Diseases - A Review of Epidemiological Evidence

    No full text
Indoor air pollution (IAP) from using unclean fuel has brought huge disease and economic burden, and we aim to analyse the effect of IAP from using solid fuels on neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases (NDGDs), as well as mental disorders. We conducted a search of PubMed database from inception to 29th July 2025. We found that the number of studies focusing on the effects of solid fuel burning on NDDs and NDGDs is limited, and the association remains uncertain. However, the evidence regarding cognitive impairment and mental disorders was abundant, and most studies indicated that participants using solid cooking fuels had a higher risk of these diseases. The most important common limitation is that many studies formulaically analyse big health data sets, which leads to problems like residual confounding due to the incomplete information in the datasets. Policy makers of developing countries can prioritize gas as the transitional option from solid fuels to electricity, while developed countries should attach importance to policies related to wood heating. It is crucial to implement policy such as providing financial incentives and offering public education

How to reduce environmental burden caused by lignocellulosic waste: A solution from the pharmaceutical industry with green solvents

    No full text
In order to reduce environmental burden caused by lignocellulosic waste, lignin from Eucommia ulmoides residue was extracted via alkali treatment and acid precipitation, yielding 61.58% purity. Degradation using [N4222]Im and [Ch]Im under atmospheric and microwave conditions was analyzed by elemental, UV, and FT-IR methods. Microwave treatment gave higher hydroxyl (340.54 mg KOH/g) and phenolic hydroxyl (0.32 mmol/g) contents than atmospheric degradation. Gas chromatography analysis showed aromatic compounds accounted for 75.64% of products, dominated by guaiacol and derivatives. This work supports high-value utilization of herbal residues, which is expected to protect our environment

Asymptotics for absolute ruin probabilities of a dependent bidimensional risk model with subexponential claims

    No full text
This paper considers a continuous-time bidimensional risk model with a constant interest force, where there exist dependence structures among the claim sizes of two business lines and the inter-arrival times of the claim sizes. When the claim sizes have subexponential distributions, some uniform asymptotics for the finite-time absolute ruin probabilities of the bidimensional risk model are established
