AI-Assisted Development of a Systemic Functional Linguistics-Based Framework for Analyzing Chinese as a Foreign Language (CFL) Textbooks--Taking HSK3 textbooks as an example
Using the theoretical framework of a language theory called SFL, this study looks at HSK Level 3 materials. The research explores how well these materials help students develop practical communication skills. The study starts with three main uses of language. The first is the “conceptual function”. The second is the “interpersonal function”. The third is the “textual function”. The analysis found that the current textbook is quite systematic. It covers vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns well. It includes the daily language needed for the HSK Level 3 exam. Especially for interpersonal skills, the textbook does a good job. It offers a wide variety of exercises. These include work on tones, polite phrases, and dialogue practice, which helps students learn basic social communication. However, a weakness was found. The design of the situations in the textbook is not strong. It limits students’ ability to use the language flexibly in real life. To solve these problems, the study suggests that textbook writing should move away from the old “structure–function” model. It should move toward a more practical “task?story” model. This study provides linguistic theory for teaching Chinese and suggests clear and practical ways to improve future textbooks

Innovative Curriculum Design for Applied English Courses in Physical Education Programs: A Project-Based Approach in the Era of Society 5.0
This research explores a curriculum innovation in Applied English designed for undergraduate students in the Department of Physical Education and Health at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Indonesia. The conventional grammar-based approach was restructured into an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) model that incorporates project-based learning (PBL), authentic materials, and soft skills integration. Using a qualitative case study method, data were obtained through syllabus analysis, classroom observations, student-produced video projects, and semi-structured interviews with both students and instructors. Findings show notable improvement in students’ oral communication, especially in mastering sports-related vocabulary for refereeing, jury duties, and coaching. In addition, the curriculum strengthened critical soft skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. The relevance of the course content to students’ prospective professions also increased engagement and motivation. Instructors observed a more dynamic classroom atmosphere and greater language retention. Overall, this study contributes to ESP by proposing an interdisciplinary curriculum model that links language instruction with vocational identity and the demands of Society 5.0. The results hold important pedagogical implications for curriculum developers, ESP practitioners, and higher education institutions seeking to enhance employability and domain-specific communication skills among non-English majors

Impact of magnetic islands on edge plasma rotation in J-TEXT tokamak
The behavior of toroidal and poloidal rotations in the edge region is studied in the presence of locked m/n = 2/1 and m/n = 3/1 magnetic islands, excited by Resonant Magnetic Perturbations (RMPs) on the J-TEXT tokamak. When the 2/1 magnetic island is present, a significant change in the toroidal rotation of carbon V (C4+) is observed, with the reversing from the counter-current to the co-current direction. In contrast, the 3/1 magnetic island has a weaker effect on C4+ rotation but strongly influences the rotation of carbon III (C2+), which is closer to the 3/1 island. RMP phase scans show that the toroidal rotation change of C2+ increases as it approaches the O-point of the magnetic island. This region corresponds to a more positive radial electric field Er on the outer side of the 3/1 magnetic island, as measured by electric probes
The Implementation of Smoke-Free Area Policy in Makassar’s Health Facilities: The Role of Organizational, Environmental, and Sustainability Factors Influencing Process Indicators
The implementation of Smoke-Free Area policies in health facilities is critical in promoting public health, especially in rapidly urbanizing regions such as Makassar. Smoking remains one of the leading causes of preventable illness and death globally. Thus, understanding the factors influencing the establishment and enforcement of smoke-free policies has become increasingly important. This study aimed to examine the influence of organizational, environmental, and sustainability factors on process indicators for smoke-free area policy implementation in healthcare facilities in Makassar, Indonesia. A quantitative correlational study was conducted across seven healthcare facilities that provide inpatient services. Using random cluster sampling, 232 healthcare workers were selected. Path analysis was employed to evaluate causal relationships between independent variables (organizational, environmental, and sustainability factors) and dependent variables (process indicators including functional role arrangements, health education, policy dissemination, smoke-free area signage). The findings indicate that sustainability factors significantly influenced health education, policy dissemination, and smoke-free signage, while organizational factors had a notable impact on policy announcement, whereas environmental factors showed no significant effects on the process indicators of smoke-free policy implementation. These findings emphasize the importance of reinforcing sustainability and organizational commitment to ensure long-term compliance with smoke-free regulations in health facilities
The association between knowledge and perceptions of health students toward the use of the mobile Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional application
Technological advancements have encouraged society to adapt and integrate digital innovations into everyday life. As a provider of health insurance services, BPJS Kesehatan has developed the Mobile Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) application to facilitate access to healthcare and improve service efficiency. This application allows users to register at healthcare facilities, manage online queues, access billing information, and conduct online consultations. Health students, as future healthcare professionals, play a strategic role in promoting and facilitating the utilization of the application. Therefore, their understanding and perception of this application are important to study. This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge and perception of health students in using the Mobile JKN application. Capacity transformation of environmental health cadres through the PILAH (integrated guide for waste management) program
Waste management remains a major challenge in Bonto Perak Village due to the community's low level of knowledge and skills in sorting and processing household waste. Environmental health cadres were selected as intervention targets because of their strategic role as agents of change at the community level. Within the Theory of Planned Behavior framework, positive attitudes and strong behavioral intentions are the primary determinants of actual behavior, while increased knowledge serves as a foundation for strengthening both aspects. Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the PILAH (Integrative Waste Management Guidelines for Waste Management) program in strengthening cadres’ capacity through participatory education. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a one- group pretest–posttest design was conducted among 18 cadres from different neighborhoods. The intervention included interactive education sessions, distribution of the PILAH handbook, and composting practice. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Knowledge scores significantly improved after the intervention (p=0.008). Behavioral intention increased from 83.3% to 100% in the “good” category, though not statistically significant (p=0.083). Attitudes remained consistently positive, with all cadres in the “good” category before and after the intervention (p=1.000). The PILAH program effectively enhanced cadres’ knowledge and strengthened their behavioral intentions, despite the latter not reaching statistical significance, while maintaining consistently positive attitudes. The program is recommended for replication in other communities with continuous support to ensure sustainable waste management practices
The Severity of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms and Neck Posture in Children
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by attention deficits, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, often accompanied by sensorimotor disorders that affect body posture. This study aims to analyse the relationship between the severity of ADHD symptoms and neck posture, particularly forward head posture, in children aged 6–12 years. The study employed a cross-sectional design involving 200 primary school children as participants. ADHD severity was measured using the Copeland Symptom Checklist, while neck posture was assessed via Craniovertebral Angle (CVA) using the Quick Angle Physio application. Statistical analysis utilized Spearman's correlation test and linear regression with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results showed a significant negative correlation between ADHD scores and CVA (r = -0.537; p = 0.000), indicating that higher ADHD scores are associated with a greater tendency for children to exhibit forward head posture. Attention deficits, hyperactivity, unintegrated primitive reflexes, and gadget usage duration are suspected to contribute to this postural disorder. These findings underscore the importance of physiotherapy interventions, including postural exercises, reflex integration, ergonomic education, and monitoring of gadget use, as early preventive measures to improve postural control and quality of life in children with ADHD
