Anxiety disorder of 3-6 year-old children
Context: Anxiety is the most common disorder in childhood. Several factors may play a role in anxiety, such
as child’s emotional and social behavior and mother employment.
Aims: the present study aims to evaluate the anxiety disorders of 3–6-year-old children of nurses working
in the educational hospitals in the city of Qazvin.
Settings and Design: This cross-sectional study was performed in September 2018.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study. Spence anxiety scale for preschool children was
used to collect data. In this self-report instrument, parents are asked to rate the frequency of child behavior
on a 5-point Likert scale from Never (0) to Ever (4). The children with a score above 34 were rated as having
anxiety disorder. One hundred and fifty-five nurses were willing to participate in the study. Inclusion criteria
for children were 3–6 years of age, for nurses were being employed in educational hospitals of Qazvin
University of Medical Sciences and the exclusion criteria of this study moving from Qazvin to another city.
Statistical Analysis Used: Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20 ( SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA), univariate
and multivariate regression coefficients. P < 0.05 were considered as significant levels.
Results: The results showed that 32.9% of children of the nurses had anxiety disorder and there was a
significant positive relationship between child gender (P = 0.008), child care during hospital shifts (P = 0.013)
and anxiety among in these children. Furthermore, the prevalence of anxiety disorder in girls and child care
by other family members were associated with the anxiety.
Conclusions: Nurses are exposed to work-family conflicts due to their occupational conditions, which
play an important role in children’s anxiety and it declares the need to pay more attention to this large
segment of society. To generalize the results, it is suggested that this study be conducted on the statistical
population of other regions of the country.

A theory of planned behavior-enhanced intervention to promote health literacy and self-care behaviors of type 2 diabetic patients
Abstract
Background: Improved health literacy and awareness could help type 2 diabetic patients to control the disease complications.
Objective: The current study aimed to evaluate the impact of theory-based educational intervention on health literacy and self-care behaviors of type 2 diabetic patients in Tonekabon city.
Methods: This randomized controlled trial study was conducted at health care centers in Tonekabon city, Iran, from April 5, 2017, to October 22, 2018. Using multistage random sampling, 166 patients with type 2 diabetes divided into two groups: theory-based intervention (n = 83) and custom education (n = 83). The data collection tools consisted of demographic information, Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) measures, health literacy for Iranian adults (HELIA) and summary of diabetes self-care activities (SDSCA). The five 45-minute group training sessions based on the baseline assessment and model constructs along with the targeted pamphlet and m-health strategy were designed for the experimental group. Data were analyzed using chi-square, independent and paired t-test and Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).
Results: After controlling for pre-test effect, there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of mean scores of attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and intention in post-test (P < 0.001). Also, after controlling for the pre-test effect, the results showed a significant difference in the self-care domain in the post-test (P < 0.001). Finally, after controlling for the pre-test variable effect, covariance analysis reflects significant difference in total health literacy score and its dimension at posttest (P < 0.001).
Conclusions: Applying TPB based education is suggested to maintain and improve self-care behaviors and health literacy in type 2 diabetic patients and other chronic diseases.

Factors Predicting Death Depression of Emergency Medical Technicians in Iran
Background Psychological problems such as death depression can have adverse effects on Emergency
Medical Technicians (EMTs) including reduced quality of medical services, job dissatisfaction, feelings of
incompetence, depression, and reduced job values.
Objective This study aims to determine the factors predicting death depression of EMTs in Iran.
Methods In this descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in 2019, participants were 125 eligible EMTs
in hospitals affiliated to Qazvin University of Medical Sciences in Qazvin, Iran. Templer’s Death Depression
Scale (DDS) and a demographic form were used to collect data. The collected data were analyzed
using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Findings The Mean±SD DDS score was reported 4.73±2.93. Most of subjects (n=79, 63.2%) had low death
depression. According to the results of linear regression analysis, “number of resuscitation attempts in
the last 3 months”, “organizational position” and “history of depression” were the predictors of death
depression (P<0.05). In total, the regression model predicts 9% of the variance in death depression.
Conclusion Death depression of EMTs in Iran is low. Due to the importance of mental health in medical
staff in providing quality clinical services, it is recommended that further studies should be conducted in
this area using a larger sample size
Enfuvirtide, an HIV-1 fusion inhibitor peptide, can act as a potent SARS-CoV-2 fusion inhibitor: an in silico drug repurposing study
Regarding the urgency of therapeutic measures for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic,
the use of available drugs with FDA approval is preferred because of the less time and cost required
for their development. In silico drug repurposing is an accurate way to speed up the screening of the
existing FDA-approved drugs to find a therapeutic option for COVID-19. The similarity in SARS-CoV-2
and HIV-1 fusion mechanism to host cells can be a key point for Inhibit SARS-CoV-2 entry into host
cells by HIV fusion inhibitors. Accordingly, in this study, an HIV-1 fusion inhibitor called Enfuvirtide
(Enf) was selected. The affinity and essential residues involving in the Enf binding to the S2 protein of
SARS-CoV-2, HIV-1 gp41 protein and angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE-2) as a negative control,
was evaluated using molecular docking. Eventually, Enf-S2 and Enf-gp41 protein complexes were simulated by molecular dynamics (MD) in terms of binding affinity and stability. Based on the most important criteria such as docking score, cluster size, energy and dissociation constant, the strongest
interaction was observed between Enf with the S2 protein. In addition, MD results confirmed that EnfS2 protein interaction was remarkably stable and caused the S2 protein residues to undergo the fewest fluctuations. In conclusion, it can be stated that Enf can act as a strong SARS-CoV-2 fusion inhibitor
and demonstrates the potential to enter the clinical trial phase of COVID-19
