Hubungan Kekerabatan Sapi Aceh dengan Menggunakan Daerah Displacement-loop
Relationship of aceh cattle using displacement-loop regionABSTRACT. The aims of this study were to describe relationship of D-loop of mtDNA Aceh cattle which is useful database for conducting conservation programme. The whole blood samples were collected (8 samples for D-loop analysis) from four locations which were Aceh Besar, Pidie, North Aceh regencies and Banda Aceh city. Out group whole blood samples were collected from two samples from Bali cattles (Bali Island), Madura cattle (Madura Island), Pesisir cattle (West Sumatera) respectively and one sample from PO cattle (West Java). Amplification of D-loop sequences of mtDNA with BIDLF and BIDLR primary have PCR product 980 bp. The Data were analyzed using Squint 1.02 and MEGA 4.0 programme. Result of analysis indicate that Aceh cattle have nearer relationship with zebu and there is items inset of genetik Bali cattle (Bos javanicus) at the end sequences start ke-354 situs up to 483, so that the origin Aceh cattle was from Bos indicus which have hybridization with Bos javanicus
Kadar Mineral Tembaga dan Besi Dalam Bulu Serta Kaitannya Dengan Kasus Anemia Pada Kambing
Mineral content of Cu and Fe in plasma and hair in related to anemia cases on female goatABSTRACT. A research had been done to identify mineral content of Cu and Fe in plasma and hair related to anemia case on female goat. Twenty female local goats at the age of 12-16 months taken from Kecamatan Darussalam and Kecamatan Baitussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar were applied. The goats taken have the criteria of hemoglobin rate (Hb) and/or Packed Cell Volume (PCV) lower than normal level. Hair and blood were sampled in this research. Hair samples were taken from top tail area, while blood samples were taken from jugular vein. The result indicated that the average rate of Hb was 77 0.7 mg/dl and PCV was 191 1.3%. The average rate of Cu and Fe in plasma was 0.7 0.16 and 67.8 10.3 g/ml, while in hair was 2.40 0.511 and 315 8.4 g/g. The average rate of Cu in plasma was categorized as below normal, while the average rate of Fe in the range of marginal. Regression analysis showed that there was close correlation between Hb rates and PCV as well as the correlation of Hb rate and Cu rate in hair. However, there was no close correlation between Hb rate and Fe rate in hair. The conclusion of the research implied that the amount of PCV and Cu rate in hair relevant to the Hb rate in blood, and could subsequently predict anemia case occurring on female goats
Pengaruh Molases Pada Amoniasi Jerami Padi Menggunakan Urea Terhadap Kecernaan Bahan Kering dan Bahan Organik In Vitro
The effect of molasses on ammoniated straw by using urea on dry and organic matter digestibility as in vitroABSTRACT. Aimed of this research was to find out the optimal level of molasses addition to improve quality, dry matter and organic matter digestibility of rice straw ammonization process. Materials used were rumen fluid of fistula cattle, grind of rice straw, water, urea and molasses. Research designed used Completely Randomized Design (CRD). As treatments were R0: rice straw 1000 g dry matter + 500 g water + 50 g urea + 0 percent of molasses, R1: R0 + 15 percent of molasses, R2: R0 + 30 percent of molasses. Urea and molasses dissolved in water and then entered into pollybag. All pollybag observe and let for 15 days, each treatment replicated 6 times. Variable measured were dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility. Research result showed that ammonization product of NH3, Acidity Level and crude fiber having decreased while crude protein content increased. Variance analysis indicated that treatments had significant effect (P0.05) on dry matter and organic matter digestibility. Orthogonal polynomial test indicated that level of molasses increase (P0.05) of dry matter and organic matter digestibility linearly. It can be concluded that addition up to 30 percent in ammoniating of rice straw using urea can improve quality of ammonization and increasing dry matter and organic matter digestibility
Hubungan Ukuran-Ukuran Usus Halus Dengan Berat Badan Broiler
Association of small intestine measurements with body weight in broilersABSTRACT. The main objective of the present study was to investigate the association of small intestine measurements with body weight in broilers. Sixty five weeks old unsex broiler chicks (CP 707) were used. All birds were leg-banded and alloted to 60 cage units and than were fasted for 10 hours but water given. All birds were weighed individually and then sacrificed by neck vein bleeding. Small intestine was dissected individually to determine length and wide. All data were subjected to statistical analysis: correlation and simple linear regression, analysis of variance and t-test. The length of small intestine, duodenum, and jejunum/ileum were each strongly correlated with body weight: r = 0,88; P 0,01; r = 0,71; P 0,01; and r = 0,80, P 0,01 respectively. The wide of duodenum and jejunum/ileum were each closely correlated with body weight: r = 0,90; P 0,01; and r = 0,86; P 0,01 respectively. Results of study indicated that there were strong association between small intestine measurements and body weight in broilers
Pengaruh Pemberian Urea Molease Mineral Blok terhadap Kadar Mineral Serum Sapi yang Memperlihatkan Gejala Defisiensi Mineral
The effect of urea molasses mineral block administration on mineral deficiency content of cattles serum mineralABSTRACT. A study has been done to find the influence of urea molasses mineral block (UMB) on cattle. The cattle those used in the research were public cattle. The cattle applied were 12 females at the age of 12-18 months which showed mineral deficiency symptoms, and the laboratory analysis result showed that they were lack to one or more mineral element of Ca, Cu, Mg, or P in their serum. UMB was provided to the cattle in the cage all day long (ad libitum) during 3 months. Keeping of the cattle was done in the following pattern: in the evening (18.00p.m - 11.00a.m) cattle were penned, and between 11.00a.m - 18.00p.m were discharged freely in rice field, grassland, or garden, therefore they could foraging around. Blood sample was taken immediately before research was started, which was counted as day 0. It followed with day 42nd, and day 84th. The result study indicates that giving of UMB have no effect on mineral level of Ca, Cu, and Mg in the serum. However, it causes increasing the P level
Sifat Kimia, Mikrobiologi dan Organoleptik Yogurt yang Menggunakan Persentase Lactobacillus casei dan Kadar Gula yang Berbeda
Chemical, microbiological and organoleptical of yogurt using the different of percentage lactobacillus casei and sugar levelABSTRACT. The objective of this study is to know quality of yogurt with variant of percentage Lactobacillus casei and sugar level. The parameter of this study were the crude protein applying the Kjeldhal method, the crude fat applying the Gerber method, the sum of amount of alive of micro-organism applying the plate count method and the organoleptic applying the square of. The result of this study showed that the different of sugar level is significant (P0.05) on crude protein and crude fat, however the different of percentage L casei not significant (P 0,05) on all parameter. The interaction is only found between two factors on crude fat. The highest of the rate amount of alive microorganism, crude protein and acetic acid are found in yogurt using 10% L. casei and 15% sugar level. From organoleptic test, its found that yogurt using 10% L. casei and 15% sugar level is the most prevered kind of yogurt
Sumber dan Kualitas Pakan Serta Produksi Kambing Peranakan Etawah Di Kotamadya Banda Aceh
ABSTRACT.A study on source and quality of feed and production of Etawah goats was conducted from June to November, 1997. Nine respondents who raise Peranakan Etawah goats were interviewed. The goats were investigated and measured for body size. The respondents were live in three different villages, i.e, three from Ule Lheu, one from Lambung, two from Punge, one from Peulanggahan and two from Rukoh. The result showed that source of fed were obtained from grass in the back yart, native pasture, by product of banana, fruits, vegetables and palatable leaves. The quality of feed was relatively good due a relatively high content of protein. Ratio of male tp female was 1 : 1.65. Kid production was about 190 percent / yard. Body size were better than kids that are raised in villages in Aceh Barat regency
Gambaran Nilai Darah Pada Sapi Yang Terinfeksi Fascioliasis Yang Dipotong di Rumah Potong Hewan Kota Banda Aceh
ABSTRACT.The main purpose of the research was to determain the blood value of fascioliasis on blood of the cattle slaughtered in abattoir. It has been examined fifty samples of fecal, bile fluids and blood of the cattle slaughtered at the Banda Aceh abattoir. The samples were examined for the values of hematocrit, erythrocyte and leucocyte differentiation and the presence of helminth eggs respectively. It was found that the egg count variet from 7.168 0.225 trematode eggs in fecal samples and 14.554 2.154 trematode eggs in bile duct repectively. The result of this study showed that, the prevalence rate of fascioliasis in cattle categorical a mild infestation was 44 %. Both in the length and width of body size of the flukes are affected by the life stage. The size of adult fluke was about 34.649 8.992 mm x 12.030 3.494 mm, while that of young fluke was 1.650 0.240 mm x 1.487 0.227 mm. the blood indices of affected cattle indicated significant (P 0.05) decrease in hematocrit and erythrocyte count compared with those not affected by the disease. The mean count of hematocrit and erythrocyte 29.773% 3.366% and 547.337 x 104 13.599 in cattle infected and in cattle non infected was 32.357 2.818 and 566.457 x 104 12.886 respectively. The result of this study, also significant (P 0.05) in increasing of the eosinophilia 16.22% 4.03% compared with that non-affected ones (10.54 4.56)
Pengaruh Sirih (Areca catechu) Sebagai Intelmentika Terhadap Nematode Gastrointesninal Pada Kambing
ABSTRACT.The efficacy and effective dose of bettlenut (Areca catechu) powder against gastrointestinal nematode worms was studied. Twenty five local goats at the age of 1 1.5 years of age weighing 8 to 12 kg were used in this study. All goat were naturally infected with gastrointestinal nematodes and they all had fecal egg count 3000/gram. The goats were randomly divided into 5 group: group I as a non treated control and group I, II, III, IV, and V were given bettlenut powder 5 gram, 10, 15 and 20 gram, respectively. The nematode worm were identified and grouped into family of Trichostrongylidae (Trichostrongylus sp. and Haemonchus sp.) and strongylidae (Bunostomum sp., Oesophagostomum sp. and Strongylus sp.). in general, bettlenut powder in all doses is very effective against gastrointestinal nematode worms from both families compare to control group (P 0.01) and no significant different among administered doses (P 0.05). Bettlenut powder in all doses given is vey effective (P 0.01) against Trichostrongylus sp. and Haemonchus sp. from family of Trichostrongylidae. Bettlenut powder in all doses given is also very effective (P 0.01) against Bunostomum sp., Oesophagustomum sp. and effective (P 0.05) against Strongylus sp. from family of Strongylidae. The dose of 5 gram of bettlenut powder per goat is recommended for treating goat invested with gastrointestinal nematode worms because it is saver and can be given more than once
Perbandingan Karkas Dari Beberapa Bangsa Sapi
ABSTRACT.The objective of this research was determined how far the comparisons of carcass of those three species. This research were used 57 fattening cow. Which consisting of 19 Aceh (SA) cow. 19 Brahman cross (BX) cow and 19 Friesian Holstein (FH), for 90 days observation time. The attributes that observed include: percentage of carcass weight, percentage of meat weight, percentage of added result, percentage of bone weight, percentage of fat. From each of those multi special of cow, considering each of their weight before cutter. The result of this research are: mean ( SE) of their life weight are: SA 316.00 9.68 kg, BX: 410.16 9.53 kg and FH: 414.37 10.12 kg. Mean ( SE) of carcass percentage are: FH: 53.33 0.83%, SA 55.75 0.67% and BX: 56.28 0.74. Mean ( SE) of meat weight percentage : FH: 69.15 0.74%, BX: 70.91 1.18% and SA: 72.67 1.08%. Mean ( SE) of added result percentage: FH: 25.22 0.57%, BX: 25.33 0.47% and SA: 25.74 0.74%. Mean ( SE) of bone weight percentage: SA: 16.75 00.58%, BX: 19.24 0.72% and FH: 20.91 0.74%. Mean (SE) of fat percentage: SA: 6.94 0.75% , BX: 17.84 0.55%, and FH: 8.21 0.49%. The result of T test of SA carcass, meat and fat weight percentage were not significantly different with BX. SA added result percentage was not significantly different with BX and FH. SA bone weight percentage was signicantly different (P 0.05) with BX. SA carcass, meats and fat weight percentage were significantly different (P 0.05) with FH. SA bone weight percentage was not significantly different with FH. Carcass weight percentage of BX was signicantly different (P 0.05) with FH. Meat, added result meat, bones and fat weight percentage of BX were not sifnificantly different with FH
