    The relevance of introducing digital twin technology in robotics is substantiated, which allows testing and modelling the capabilities of robots, such as manipulation, grasping, etc., using virtual robot prototypes that are identical copies of physical robot prototypes. An overview of the key components of the digital twin framework for robotics, including the physical element, virtual element, middleware, service and transport components, is provided. A technology for designing a robot using digital twins is proposed, including the design of a computer model of a robot using a computer-aided design system or three-dimensional graphics packages, the use of robot simulation systems, data management, data analysis and human-machine interaction. The further development of the research is the implementation of digital twin technology for a rescue robot according to the proposed stages: building a computer model, programming robot behaviour in a simulation system, developing a mathematical and digital model of the robot, implementing human-machine interaction between a physical robot and its digital replica, which will allow testing the interaction of the main components of the digital twin, performing data exchange between the physical and digital replica, and building a digital data model to verify the main operations

    Zusammenfassung Fragestellung: Trotz hoher Attraktivität bleibt der Begriff der Resilienz unscharf. Aktuelle Definitionen beinhalten zwar einen Prozessgedanken, dennoch erfassen Resilienzskalen meist statische Personenmerkmale. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist, zur Erschließung eines prozessbezogenen Resilienzmodells implizite Konzepte der Forscher:innen einer interdisziplinären Forschungsgruppe zu Resilienz zu erfassen. Methode: Mit neun erfahrenen Forscher:innen ausTheologie,Medizin und Philosophie wurden Experteninterviews durchgeführt und mittels qualitativer Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet. Ergebnisse: Es wird zwischen prädiktiven, prozessbezogenen und ergebnisbezogenen Resilienzkategorien unterschieden. Zentrale Elemente im erstellten Prozessmodell sind die Artikulation und Akzeptanz auch von negativen Erfahrungen sowie eine Narrativierung und sinnhafte Einordnung des Erlebten. Diskussion: Auf Basis der gefundenen Kategorien wird eine erste Arbeitsdefinition für ein prozessorientiertes Resilienzmodell erstellt. Inhaltlich findet sich viel Nähe zu bekannten Elementen und Zielen von Psychotherapie. Die Umdeutung von Resilienz als Prozess des bewussten „moving forward“ (Yahuda) anstelle eines unerreichbaren „Heldenideals“ kann für Psychotherapiepatient:innen hilfreich sein.Objectives: Despite its high appeal, the concept of resilience remains unclear. Current definitions include a process approach, but most resilience scales remain trait-based. This study assessed implicit concepts of researchers in an interdisciplinary research group in order to develop a process-based model of resilience. Methods: Expert interviews were conducted with nine experienced researchers from the fields of theology, medicine, and philosophy and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Categories are classified as predictive, process-related or outcome-related. Central elements in the process are the articulation and acceptance of negative experiences as well as a narrativization and meaningful integration of experiences. Conclusions: Based on the categories, a working definition for a process-oriented resilience model is created.The categories show proximity to known elements and goals of psychotherapy. The reinterpretation of resilience as a process of conscious "moving forward" (Yahuda) instead of an unattainable "hero ideal" can be helpful for psychotherapy patients

    A succinate/SUCNR1-brush cell defense program in the tracheal epithelium

    Host-derived succinate accumulates in the airways during bacterial infection. Here, we show that luminal succinate activates murine tracheal brush (tuft) cells through a signaling cascade involving the succinate receptor 1 (SUCNR1), phospholipase Cβ2, and the cation channel transient receptor potential channel subfamily M member 5 (TRPM5). Stimulated brush cells then trigger a long-range Ca2+ wave spreading radially over the tracheal epithelium through a sequential signaling process. First, brush cells release acetylcholine, which excites nearby cells via muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. From there, the Ca2+ wave propagates through gap junction signaling, reaching also distant ciliated and secretory cells. These effector cells translate activation into enhanced ciliary activity and Cl- secretion, which are synergistic in boosting mucociliary clearance, the major innate defense mechanism of the airways. Our data establish tracheal brush cells as a central hub in triggering a global epithelial defense program in response to a danger-associated metabolite

    Wenn von Nachrichtenauswahl und Thematisierungsfunktion der Medien die Rede ist, fällt schnell das Fachwort Agenda-Setting. Der gegenteilige Begriff, das Agenda-Cutting, ist dagegen viel seltener Gegenstand von wissenschaftlichen oder gesellschaftlichen Diskussionen. Dabei ist das Agenda-Cutting eine weitflächig geübte Praxis in Medien, Politik und Gesellschaft, bei der Themen bewusst oder unbewusst aus den gesellschaftlichen Diskursen entfernt oder herausgehalten werden. Die Initiative Nachrichtenaufklärung beschäftigt sich schon lange intensiv mit der Frage der Vernachlässigung von Themen und Nachrichten. Mit diesem Sammelband wird erstmals das Thema wissenschaftlich tiefgehend von verschiedenen Seiten aus betrachtet

    Smart heating systems are one of the core components of smart homes. A large portion of domestic energy consumption is derived from HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems, making them a relevant topic of the efforts to support an energy transition in private housing. For that reason, the technology has attracted attention both from the academic and the industry communities. User interfaces of smart heating systems have evolved from simple adjusting knobs to advanced data visualization interfaces, that allow for more advanced setting such as time tables and status information. With the advent of AI, we are interested in exploring how the interfaces will be evolving to build the connection between user needs and underlying AI system. Hence, this paper is targeted to provide early design implications towards an AI-based user interface for smart heating systems
