Application of Geographical Infomation System (GIS) to Study Diversity of Habitat Structure of Spider in Agricultural Landscape in Cianjur Watershed
Spiders are dominant predators and have an important role not only in ricefield ecosystem, but also in agroecosystem in general. The complexity of landscape structure is expected to have an important role to the availability of spiders in ecosystem. Aim of this research were mapped agricultural landscape in Cianjur Watershed and to study the influence of landscape structure complexity to the diversity of spider in the landscape. Research was conducted at agricultural landscape in Cianjur Watershed, i.e: upper part (Nyalindung Village), middle part (Gasol Village) and lower part (Selajambe Village), from January to September 2003. Agricultural landscape in Cianjur Watershed were mapped by using Global Positioning System (GPS), Arc View GIS 3.2. computer program, and Digital Indonesian Land Use and Topographical Map from Bakosurtanal. These instruments were used to make a new map which consist of information of land use system. Spider in agricultural landscape were sampled by using two trapping techniques, i.e: pitfall trap and sweep net. The results showed that landscape structure at upper part of Cianjur Watershed is more complex than that of at midlle and lower part. The diversity of spider at upper part of Cianjur Watershed was also higher than that of middle and lower part. Thus, the complexity of landscape structure significantly influence to the diversity of spiders in the agricultural landscape
High Power efficiency in optical logic X-OR gate structure
A High Power Efficiency of Optical Waveguide for Logic X-OR gate has been investigated numerically by means of FD-BPM (Finite Difference Beam Propagation Method). The proposed structure is designed by using of three Y-branches. Two of Y-branches structure is parallel combined in the input section and the other one is located with the opposite direction of the output section. The whole guiding structure is called 2x3 channel which having two-input ports and three-output ports. One of the gap between three output arms in the cladding region is assumed to be a nonlinear materials which will produce the phase shifting between its output optical fields. The magnitude of phase shifting is depending on the nonlinearity of material and the optical input power. Y-branch leg angle is also a significant parameter to increase efficiency of optical power switch. The numerical schemes showed that the proposed structure is suitable for optical switching especially for logic X-OR gate
Analytical Solution of Schrödinger Equation of the Harmonic Oscillator System with Position Dependent Mass Using Transformation Method
The Schrodinger equation with position-dependent mass (PDM) becomes one of interesting subjects in the study of quantum systems, because of its wide applications in many physical problems. Meanwhile, harmonic oscillator becomes important model in most physical problems. In this paper, analytical solutions of the PDM Schrodinger equation, i.e. energy eigenvalues En and eigenfunctions , of a one dimensional harmonic oscillator system using transformation method has been studied. The results showed that there was no difference between the energy eigenvalues, En of the harmonic oscillator systems with and without PDM, whereas it is not for the eigenfunctions,  of these two harmonic oscillator systems. This difference was due to the presence of dimensionless mass function  and the changes of x becomes  variable for the eigenfunctions of the harmonic oscillator system with PDM. Moreover, the differences in the eigenfunctions will affect the dynamical properties of the quantum systems. It can be concluded that the harmonic oscillator system with PDM is the generalization of the harmonic oscillator system with constant mass
Simulation of Cellular Network Model by Integer Programming
Integer programming is a particular form or variety of the linear program, in which one or more of its values in the solution vector have integer. Integer programming can be applied on the network analysis and telecommunication. In this paper, integer programming is used to solve the problems of optimizing the route between cell i and HUB (Home Unit Base) j so that the cost for making a network model, especially cellular network, can be minimized
Effectiveness of Added L-Ascorbyl Palmitate Antioxidant Synthezed Enzymatically in Coconut Oil
Research on effect of NaOH/Coal Fly Ash ratio in faujasite synthesis to faujasite crystallinity has been conducted. Faujasite synthesis has been conducted by destructed coal fly ash using sodium hidroxide (NaOH) with NaOH/Coal Fly Ash ratio = 1.0;1.2; 1.5; 2.0; 2.5 and 3.0 (w/w) on the solid phase. The solid mixtures cured at 550 oC for 1 h and followed by coolling process. Addition of distilled water to the solid mixtures and agitation for 24 h were done until we have slurry. The slurry kept on bomb autoclave and hydrothermal reaction has done at 100 oC for 72 h. The solid products are dried on oven and characterized using XRD. Al and Si were analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy method. The Faujasite has been produced by this research using of NaOH/Coal Fly Ash ratio ranging from 1 to 1.5 ratios (w/w). The range of NaOH/Coal Fly Ash ratio from 2 to 3 ratio (w/w) gave hidroxysodalite as hydrothermal product. The best ratio was by 1,2 NaOH/Coal Fly Ash ratio (w/w), it showed the highest crystallinity of faujasite and Si/Al ratio of Faujasite was higher than others. This research concluded that the high concentration of OH- on the hydrothermal system can transform faujasite to hydroxysodalite
Continum Regression with Discrete Wavelet Transformation Preprocessing
In the multiple regression modeling, serious problems will be occurred if independent variables are correlated, to be named ill conditioned problem, and the number of observations is much less than the number of independent variables, it is a singularity problem. Continum Regression (CR) approach, it’s better to overcome the problem of ill conditioned, but if the number of observations is much less than the number of independent variables usually facing the problem in computing. So the first step, it needes dimension reduction of independent variables (known as a preprocessing method). Discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) is one of a good method handle the problem of singularity. The research we have studied combination of CR and DWT as a preprocessing method can solved the problems of ill conditioned and singularity. The result of empirical research with simulation data has concluded that performance of CRDWT have very good potency to overcome the problems of the number of observations much less than the number of independent variables and ill conditioned
The Centre of Some Skew Polynomial Rings
Let R be any ring with identity 1, σ be an endomorphism and δ be a left σ-derivation. In this paper, we will investigate the centre of some skew polynomial rings in the case when R is a commutative domain and σ is anautomorphism. More precisely, let D be a commutative domain with its quotient field K and σ be an automorphism of D. Then, we will show that intersection of the centre of skew polynomial rings D[x;σ] and D[x;σ,δ]
Detection of The High Resoluiton in The Shallow Fault Reactive by The Geophysics Method, VLF-EM
VLF-EM method is one of the geophysics methods used to examine rock structure below earth surface. The fault is an earth rock layering process that is usually filled with mineral or seeped with conductive fluid that cause conductivity changes. This fault influences a change in electromagnetic field parameter. This research applied interval variation measurement, to obtain high resolution conductivity. Karous-Hjelt filtering analysis methods was used to explain the response of VLF-EM method about fracture condition or fault reactive occurred in Renokenongo village, Sidoarjo. The result can identify a fault pattern which indicated a very significant reactive fault
Testing Normality and Bandwith Estimation Using Kernel Method For Small Sample Size
This article aimed to study kernel method for testing normality and to determine the density function based on curve fitting technique (density plot) for small sample sizes. To obtain optimal bandwith we used Kullback-Leibler cross validation method. We compared the result using goodness of fit test by Kolmogorof Smirnov test statistics. The result showed that kernel method gave the same performance as Kolmogorof Smirnov for testing normality but easier and more convinient than Kolmogorof Smirnov does
