Also highlighted are certain exhibits in the Great Hall of Shells, including live mollusks. School Shell Kits are available for purchase, and include teacher and student guide materials, as well as collection samples and labels. Educational videos are also available for purchase, which compliment the Kits. Various research articles, as well as games and information for kids, can be downloaded as PDF files from the website. The Nautilus, published through the Museum, is a peer-reviewed journal publishing articles on diverse aspects of the biology, ecology, and systematics of mollusks, and is one of the most traditional international journals in the field of malacology

    ShakeMaps

    No full text
ShakeMaps, a product of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Hazards Program, are near-real-time maps of ground motion and shaking intensity that are produced following significant earthquakes. They appear as a set of links keyed to areas which have recently experienced an earthquake. The maps display instrumental intensity (modified Mercalli scale), peak ground acceleration, and peak ground velocity. They are downloadable as image (JPEG) or zipped postscript (PS) files, and datasets are downloadable as text, zipped shapefiles, KML, XML, or HTML files. Older shakemaps are stored in an archive. The most recent maps are also available as RSS feeds
