This research is a development research that aims to describe the feasibility of material, pedagogic and media aspects of e-books based multirepresentation for hybrid learning on Modern Physics material. This research model uses 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The data collection technique is that the validator assigns a score to each aspect on the validation sheet and then the data is analyzed to see the percentage of validation. In this study the validators consisted of each aspect as many as two validators as material, pedagogic, and media experts. The results showed that the e-books based multirepresentation for hybrid learning on Modern Physics material was feasible to use with a percentage gain from material experts of 62% (fair enough); from pedagogic experts by 89% (very feasible); from media experts by 92% (very decent). As for the results of the aiken calculation, for the material aspect, the score is 0.50 (medium); the pedagogic aspect got a score of 0.85 (high); and the media aspect scored 0.89 (high)

This study intended to explore factors affecting students’ participation in speaking English classes. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used a mixed research design involving both qualitative and quantitative methods. All grade 8th English teachers and students of the school were taken as the population of the study. The students were selected in purposive sampling and teachers were selected using comprehensive sampling. The data were collected using a questionnaire, interview, and classroom observation. Data obtained from the questionnaire was analyzed quantitatively by using graphs and percentages and open-ended questions were analyzed qualitatively using thematic analysis. The findings revealed that students encountered many difficulties that caused students to be poor participants in speaking classes. Anxiety, lack of motivation, lack of encouragement, fear of criticism by peers, teachers’ approach of teaching, classroom management, classroom environment and the intense use of Amharic in class were the major factors affecting students’ active participation in speaking classes. Moreover, some teachers lack the required training, strategies and techniques to manage a speaking lesson. Other factors that the study unveiled were related to the educational and surrounding environment, in terms of using technological teaching aids and a convenient number of students in class. Besides, the findings also revealed that students had no communication or limited communication during English class between the teacher and among students. Students could not achieve the objective of the course being passive participants in speaking classes. To this end, teachers’ methods of teaching, classroom management, and care of students should be boosted through training

The interconnected elements of academic motivation, student engagement, and performance make up the central goal of a school-wide improvement effort of improving quality education.   This study was conducted to 266 fourth year pre-service teacher-respondents who were enrolled during the 2nd semester of school year 2016-2017 in the Practice Teaching course of the Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSEd) program. The main objective of the study was to determine the relationship of academic motivation and the multidimensional constructs of student engagement to the performance of BSEd pre-service teacher-respondents in selected State Universities and Colleges in the National Capital Region. The research methodology used was the descriptive correlational method and the statistical treatment of data used in the study includes frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and the Pearson Product Moment. The findings indicated that there is a significant relationship between performances in the selected professional education board courses namely Child and Adolescent Development, The Teaching Profession, Principles of Teaching, Assessment of Student Learning, Educational Technology, and the factors of academic motivation specifically in extrinsic motivation namely, Authority Expectation, Peer Acceptance, Power Motivations, and Fear of Failure. Likewise, there is a significant relationship between performances in the selected professional education board courses and the multidimensional constructs of student engagement namely, Collaborative Learning, Student-Faculty Interaction, and Effective Teaching Practice. It is recommended that teacher educators must continue to foster student motivation through the use of intrinsic and extrinsic factors; teacher educators must, also, create teaching-learning environment in which engagement is the norm instead of the exception through the use of multidimensional constructs with emphasis on collaborative learning, effective teaching practices, and student-faculty interaction which were found to be significant to students’ performance.

The analysis process uses a qualitative descriptive analysis of the results of observations on teacher responses as users. The steps are: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing. This research resulted in a product in the form of 3 stories entitled: Janji Kardosi, Cerita dari Samudra, and Pipit dan Elang. Book eligibility uses 2 criteria, instructional criteria and presentation criteria. The validation is carried out by academics (media expert tests) and practitioners in the field of early childhood education. Full text link
This study seeks to determine students' visual thinking skills in solving geometric problems based on learning style inventory. The qualitative approach with the grounded theory research method was used. The research participants consisted of 61 students who were given a learning style inventory questionnaire, and 4 students were selected from each learning style category, namely converger, diverger, assimilator, and accommodator. Data collection techniques included learning style questionnaires and task-based interviews. The findings indicated that assimilator and converger students had good visual thinking skills in solving geometric problems and could explain logically every step they used while accommodator students had problems explaining logically at the planning and implementation stages of problem-solving. Meanwhile, diverger students could visualize the problem only at the stage of understanding the problem. At the next stages, they had difficulty in explaining logically, and the problem-solving process was not appropriate

Heutagogy in Speaking: Exploration and Mapping of Self-Learning in Social Organizations Community

The heutagogical approach is a self-determined learning model that can encourage independent learner development. The model's design with a heutagogical approach is integrated with language skills in aspects of speaking skills that can be taught or trained to students based on heutagogical principles. This type of research is classified as qualitative research. Collecting research data by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews with community members spread across three social organizations. The goal was to obtain data as a form of information related to the heutagogical approach to speaking skills. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Based on the results of the study, self-learning mapping as part of a heutagogical approach in the implementation of learning/training speaking skills refers to identifying the variety/type of speaking skills that each student wants to learn, determining the method/learning process, and negotiating the type of evaluation of the selected speaking skills material. In conclusion, in this study, students are responsible for their learning and determine and control themselves what, when, and how they will learn it
