    PERSEPSI SISWA TENTANG PENCITRAAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN (SMK) DI KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK

    Objective of this research is to identity the result of image projection at vocational schools in Trenggalek Regency. Population of this research is students at the Third grade of Vocational Schools in Trenggalek Regency the Academic Year of 2007/2008 with samples of 267. Results of the research reveal facts that most of the respondents have perception (1) structure, vision and mission, as well as goal of the schools that conform to need and expectation of the students, (2) professionalism of the teachers at schools conform to need and expectation of the students, (3) goal of the expertise program conform to the student’s need, (4) training and education system at vocational schools conform to the student’s expectation, (5) product and merit at the schools conform to the student’s need.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keberhasilan pencitraan SMK di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tiga dari sekolah kejuruan di Trenggalek pada tahun akademik 2007/2008 dengan sampel sejumlah 267 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini me­nunjuk­kan bahwa hampir seluruh responden mempunyai anggapan (1) struktur, visi, misi, dan tujuan dari sekolah memenuhi kebutuhan dan harap­an dari siswa, (2) profesionalisme guru sekolah memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan dari siswa, (3) tujuan program keahlian telah memenuhi kebutuhan siswa, (4) pelatihan dan sistem pendidkan pada sekolah kejuruan memenuhi harapan siswa, dan (5) hasil dan luaran dari sekolah kejuruan memenuhi kebutuhan siswa

    Abstract: The Flow Patterns and Pressure Drop on Two-Phase Gas-Liquid Through Sudden Contraction. The aim of this research is to describe the flow patterns and pressure drop on two-phase gas-liquid through sudden contraction. It limits the contraction coefficient (S) into three variants: S = 0,8; S = 0,6 and S = 0,4. For describing the distribution and pressure drop, it uses two-dimension line graphics. The result shows that (1) the flow pattern in horizontal contraction tends to shape separated flow, meanwhile in vertical contraction it tends to shape homogenous inflated flow; (2) the pressure on pipe surfaces before contraction surface is bigger than those of ducting axis; (3) the pressure on pipe surfaces after contraction surface is smaller than those of ducting axis; (4) the pressure drop turn into bigger on bigger mass flux and mixture quality; (5) the pressure drop in homogenous flow is bigger than those of separated flow; and (6) the difference average between calculated and theoretical pressure drop is less than 20%

    Vocational education is one of the institution to prepare the labors in industries. This research aims is to identify the infrastructure, tools and the condition of practice device in mechanical automotive private schools of vocational education at Bojonegoro and Madiun area. This research done by descriptive design. Data is collected by using checklist and observation method. Data is analyzed with descrip­tive statistics. The research find that infrastructures, tools, and the condition of practice devices at mechanical automotive department in private schools of vocatio­nal education at Bojonegoro and Madiun area are not standard. This research also finds that: (1) 47.5% of infrastructure and 11.7% of practice devices are provided for the learning; (2) 41.3% of infrastructure and 74.6% of practice devices are insuffi­cient for the learning; and (3) 11.7% of infrastructure and 13.7% of practice devices are not provided for the learning.Pendidikan kejuruan merupakan salah satu lembaga untuk menyiapkan tenaga kerja di industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah mengidentifikasi infrastruktur, per­alatan, dan kondisi perangkat praktik mekanik otomotif SMK Swasta di Bojo­negoro Madiun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan daftar periksa dan metode observasi. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Penelitian menemukan bahwa infrastruktur, peralatan, dan kondisi perangkat praktik mekanik otomotif SMK Swasta di Bojonegoro dan Madiun tidak standar. Penelitian ini menemu­kan bahwa (1) tersedia 47,5% infrastruktur dan 11,7% perangkat praktik untuk pembelajaran; (2) 41,3% infrastruktur dan 74,6% alat praktik tidak cukup untuk pembelajaran; dan (3) terdapat 11,7% infrastruktur dan 13,7% alat mekanis perangkat praktik tidak tersedia untuk pembelajaran

    Abstract: The protection of three-phase induction motor against four types of disturbance. Generally, the installation of three-phase motor only uses protection system of fuse and MCB. However, the usage of fuse and MCB is still limited; due to the availability of another system that cover much more disturbances. This research sets out to develop the protection of three-phase induction motor by using computerization and electro-mechanics. It used experimental method with the stages as follows (1) designing protection circuit, (2) testing the circuit, (3) analyzing the result, and (4) redesigning the circuit if necessary.     Teacher of vocational school in Malang, who have graduated from certi­fication program, have been expected showed improved empowerment activity and working motivation of the teacher, therefore, quality of education will be improved as well. This research is correctional survey research. Sample consist of 207 samples from 12 vocational school in Malang. Results of the research show that there is signi­ficant relationship between empowerment and working motivation and performance of the professional teachers at State Vocational School in Malang. Both higher and lower contributions have simultaneously, 83.3% and the rest, 16.7%, are determined by other factors.Guru sekolah kejuruan di Malang yang telah lulus sertifikasi diharapkan menunjukkan peningkatan pemberdayaan dan motivasi kerja, sehingga kualitas peng­ajaran meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pemberdayaan guru dan motivasi kerja dengan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan survey. Sampel terdiri dari 207 orang yang berasal dari dari 12 SMK di Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pember­dayaan dan motivasi kerja mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan kinerja profesional guru. Kedua faktor tersebut mempunyai sumbangan sebesar 83,3% sedangkan faktor yang lain yaitu sebesar 16,7%

    Abstract: This research designs controller of logic of fuzzy to control network of switching of at active filter so that can inseminate tension of compensation by precision. This matter can be happened because controller of have logic to of fuzzy work pursuant to signal error and delta of error of among pure signal and signal which distortion by trouble harmonic. Plant to be designed consisted of by a transformer of distribution with two bobbin of primary and one secondary bobbin se. Signal output of transformer which the distortion will be compared to by signal identify to get signal error. This signal error will be used as input for controller. Controller of logic of fuzzy used to arrange wide of pulse to be inseminated by pursuant to signal error. Result analysis of simulation is conducted in the situation steady-state transformer, that is start t = 0.06s. This research conclusion is the following: (1) filter active designed by inseminating compensation tension of through transformer can degrade Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) until 24.995% for trouble harmonic of third and for-5, and 15.495% for trouble harmonic of second and fourth; and (2) existence controller logic fuzzy earn more improve repair waveform, so that can degrade THD until 4.471% for trouble harmonic of third and for-5, and 6.638% for trouble harmonic of second and fourth compared to by output transformer of  before controlled

    Abstract: Raising entrepreneurship by taking advantage of electricity. This research is aimed to describe the entrepreneurship pattern in rural community, the efficiency and effectiveness of usage of electricity in rural community for raising entrepreneurship, and its variables contributing their behavior in entrepreneurship. The subject of the research are some small entrepreneurship communities in rural areas that cover 110 respondents throughout Malang, Blitar, Tulungagung, Sidoarjo, Kediri, Probolinggo, Nganjuk, and Bondowoso.  The result of its descriptive analysis shows that the usage of electricity for raising entrepreneurship remains low. Meanwhile, the correlation and regression analysis shows that there is positive-significant relationship between socio-economic status and the knowledge of electricity (within group or individual) over its behavior of entrepreneurship. The overall results of this research notify that the community’s perspective in the usage of electricity is an important factor as predictor of electricity-based entrepreneurship

    Abstract: The Development of Portfolio-based Assessment Instrument for Increasing Student’s Motivation in Subject of Electrical Network. The purpose of this research is  answer some of the research problems such as (1) how to develop a set of portofolio assessment for  Electric Circuit subject; (2) how are the students achievement motivation in Electric Circuit subject; and (3) how is the students response toward the portofolio assessment. This research is a development research by Reflective, Recursive, Design and Development (R2D2) model.  The goal of this portofolio assessment is to assess evidence or the best students work which was prepared systematically, to observe the development both in the process and product of  instruction. The instrument used to collect the data are questionnaire for  response toward the portofolio assssment,  achievement motivation, observation and evaluation sheed (writing test), and a practical guide book. The product of the development of portofolio assessment set is the  garis besar rencana perkuliahan (GBRP), instructional transparancy set, and practice guide book.  The development of the portofolio asssessment on Electric Circuit  Subject, is in the form of evaluation of students’ work in the form of laboratorium practice and class assignments accompanied  by transparancy material. The motivation of the achievement students is not low, but there are only 41.18% students has  high motivation, and the rise (58.82%) has moderate motivation. There are 94.1% students felt happy attending the class,  81.4% of the students felt happy with the lecturer presentation, and 84.4% were happy with the task/assignment given

    IMPLEMENTASI ISO 9001: 2000 PADA PEMBELAJARAN PRODUKTIF BIDANG KEAHLIAN BANGUNAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN

    The implementation of ISO 9001: 2000 in productive learning of building engineering sector in vocational education. The objtective of this study was to uncover the barriers to implementation of ISO 9001:2000 in productive learning. The study was designed using multisite study design. Tecniques of collecting the data were interview, observation to partici­pants, and documentation test. The result of the study are: (1) Implementation of the ISO 9001: 2000 in productive learning of  building engineering sector relates to the implementation of the concept of P-D-C-A in the ISO quality management system; (2) the barriers in implementation of ISO 9001:2000 in pro­ductive learning include low awareness level, inconsistencies, and disobedience; and (3) efforts to overcome the barriers to implementation of ISO 9001:2000 in produc­tive learning involve building the shared commitment, socialization in order to create together awareness, supervising, and doing the preventive action.Implementasi ISO 9001: 2000 pada Pembelajaran Produktif Bidang Keahlian Bangunan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian ini bermaksud meng­ungkap lebih mendalam tentang, imple­men­­­tasi, hambatan-hambatan, dan upaya-upaya dalam mengatasi ham­batan penerap­an ISO 9001: 2000 pada pembelajaran produktif. Penelitian ini diran­cang dengan menggunakan rancangan studi multisitus. Teknik pengum­pulan data meliputi wawan­cara, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian adalah: (1) Penerapan ISO 9001: 2000 pada pem­belajaran pro­duktif teknik bangunan mengacu pada konsep P-D-C-A ke dalam sistem manajemen mutu ISO; (2) hambatan implementasi ISO 9001: 2000 pada pem­bel­ajaran produktif meliputi tingkat kesadaran rendah, inkonsistensi, dan ketidak­taatasasan; dan (3) upaya mengatasi hambatan dalam implementasi ISO 9001: 2000 pada pembelajar­an produk­tif meliputi membangun komitmen bersama, sosialisasi dalam rangka me­num­buhkan kesadaran bersama (awareness), supervisi, dan melakukan usaha preventif (preventif action)

    STABILITAS CHECK DAM DI ARBORETUM DESA SUMBER BRANTAS

    Abstract: The stability of check-dam in arboretum of Sumber Brantas village. Sumber Brantas water sources area is arboretum territory which has to be maintained as conservation either for technical or vegetation (plants cover) by sustainable development. Arboretum territory is made as asylum in irrigation system district of Brantas River. This research discusses technical conservation activity to build the check dam in conserving the area. Check dam is built dimensionally by using HEC-RAS Program to get safe and stable dimension for rolling, shifting and piping of Sf > 1.5, and based on hydrologic analysis to get maximum flood discharge of 48.01 m3second-1. Hydraulic analysis is used to get water level profile and pressure for the dam body. Stability of the structure will be controlled by construction load (weight of check dam) and its fully sediment storage condition. The result of this research shows that the safe and stable dimension for check dam are as follows: 28 meter of width; 3 meter of main height; 1.5 meter of sub-height; 10 meter of stilling basin length (Main Dam–Sub Dam)
