Her supervisor was Prof. Dr. Miljenko Lapaine. The Examining Committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Željko Bačić, Prof. Dr. Miljenko Lapaine and Prof. Dr. Mladen Jurišić, of the Faculty of Agriculture, J. J. Strossmayer University, Osijek. The Thesis Defence Committee consisted of the same members.Sanja Zekušić obranila je 19. prosinca 2011. na Geodetskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu magistarski rad Službeni prostorni podatci kao osnova za upravljanje u poljoprivredi. Mentor je bio prof. dr. sc. Miljenko Lapaine. U Povjerenstvu za ocjenu magistarskog rada bili su prof. dr. sc. Željko Bačić, prof. dr. sc. Miljenko Lapaine i prof. dr. sc. Mladen Jurišić s Poljoprivrednog fakulteta Sveučilišta J. J. Strossmayer u Osijeku. Povjerenstvo za obranu bilo je u istom sastavu

The bearer of those activities in Croatia is the Croatian Cartographic Society. The State Geodetic Administration recognized the value and importance of those activities and has been financially supporting the work on national report for several years.Hrvatska je od 1995. godine članica Međunarodnoga kartografskog društva i kao jednu od obaveza ima podnositi nacionalni izvještaj o kartografskim aktivnostima na generalnim skupštinama koje se održavaju svake četiri godine. U Hrvatskoj je nositelj tih aktivnosti Hrvatsko kartografsko društvo. Državna geodetska uprava prepoznala je vrijednost i važnost takvih aktivnosti i već niz godina financijski podupire rad na nacionalnom izvještaju

The first project in that direction appeared at the end of 20th century, because the technical improvement of the Internet in terms of availability and transfer rate was achieved.Ljudska želja za sakupljanjem informacija na jednom mjestu stara je tisućama godina. Kroz stoljeća su izrađene mnoge enciklopedije, no tek je digitalno doba pružilo alate za jednostavno pretraživanje velike količine informacija. Tijekom 90-ih godina 20. stoljeća rodile su se prve ideje o enciklopediji na internetu. Prvi projekt u tom smjeru pojavio se tek na kraju prošlog stoljeća, jer se čekao tehnički napredak interneta u smislu dostupnosti i brzine prijenosa
