    Napoleonova cesta u Dalmaciji – doprinos francuske uprave u razvoju cestogradnje u Dalmaciji početkom 19. st.

    The idea of organizing the exhibition originated in the State Archives in Zadar, which preserves numerous sources dating from the time of the French administration and which deal with the emergence of road infrastructure in Dalmatia in later periods. The exhibition includes historical documents, plans, drafts, specifications, budgets, official correspondence, maps and books: a total of 63 originals and reproductions are on display. The exhibition shows how the French administration in Dalmatia initiated and realized the construction of certain sections of Napoleon's road that was to run along the entire length of the Illyrian provinces, from Ljubljana to Dubrovnik and further south.Ideja o organiziranju izložbe nastala je u Državnom arhivu u Zadru u kojemu se čuvaju mnogobrojni izvori iz doba francuske uprave i nastanka cestovne infrastrukture u kasnijim razdobljima. Izložbom su obuhvaćeni spisi, planovi, nacrti, troškovnici, proračuni, službena korespondencija, zemljovidi i knjige, a izložena su ukupno 63 eksponata u originalima i reprodukcijama. Izložba prikazuje kako je francuska uprava u Dalmaciji inicirala i realizirala izgradnju određenih dionica Napoleonove ceste koja je trebala prolaziti cijelom dužinom Ilirskih pokrajina, od Ljubljane do Dubrovnika i dalje prema jugu

    In the beginning of this year, I added the Györffy E projection to my website (https://blog.map-projections.net/the-francula-projections#cblox_144). Preparing that blogpost, I read Györffy’s paper (Györffy 2018) where I stumbled across the mentioning of projections that “were created (…) by suitable renumbering of Aitoff and ordinary polyconic”. Now, I have written about the Umbeziffern (renumbering, map-projections.net/wagner-umbeziffern.php) quite a lot, but I had never heard or read that this procedure had been applied to the American Polyconic. So I investigated and found out that in 1971, Nedjeljko Frančula introduced a bunch of projections obtained by Umbeziffern from various parent projections (Frančula 1971).Početkom godine dodao sam projekciju Györffy E na moju web-stranicu (https://blog.map-projections.net/the-francula-projections#cblox_144). Pripremajući taj blog pročitao sam Györffyjev članak (Györffy 2018) pri čemu sam slučajno naišao na spominjanje projekcija koje su „stvorene (...) prikladnim prenumeriranjem Aitovljeve i obične polikonusne projekcije“. Iako sam dosta pisao o Umbeziffern (prenumeriranje, map-projections.net/wagner-umbeziffern.php), nikada nisam čuo ni pročitao da je taj postupak primijenjen na američku polikonusnu projekciju. Stoga sam istraživao i pronašao da je Nedjeljko Frančula 1971. godine predstavio veći broj projekcija dobivenih prenumeriranjem iz različitih parova projekcija (Frančula 1971)

    This paper analyses the structural characteristics (shape, position and condition) of landscape patches in Central Lika according to landscape types and for the landscape of Central Lika as a whole. A set of indicators for the landscape structure was used along with GIS technology. Interrelation of the structural characteristics of landscape patches were determined using regression analysis. When determining the landscape types of Central Lika, a method based on land cover/land use was applied. For this purpose, data from the CORINE database for the year 2012 were used. At the level of the landscape type in Central Lika and the landscape of Central Lika as a whole, a set of indicators for the landscape structure were used, based on a variety of spatial analysis methods: Mean Shape Index – for the landscape patch shapes; Core Area Index – for the condition of the landscape patches, and Average Nearest Neighbour – for the position of the landscape patches. The most important result of this paper was to confirm the correlation between the shape and condition, and between the shape and position of the landscape patches of Central Lika, while no correlation between the condition and position of the landscape patches of Central Lika was found.U ovom radu analiziraju se strukturna obilježja (oblik, položaj i stanje) uzoraka krajolika Srednje Like za tipove krajolika i krajolik Srednje Like u cjelini. Pri tome se koristi skup pokazatelja za strukturu krajolika i GIS tehnologija. Međuodnos strukturnih obilježja uzoraka krajolika utvrđen je linearno-regresijskom analizom. Pristup utvrđivanju tipova krajolika Srednje Like temelji se na zemljišnom pokrovu/načinu korištenja zemljišta. U tu svrhu korišteni su podatci baze podataka CORINE za 2012. godinu. Na razini tipa krajolika Srednje Like i krajolik Srednje Like u cjelini upotrijebljen je skup pokazatelja za strukturu krajolika koji se temelji na različitim metodama prostorne analize: Mean Shape Index − za oblik uzoraka krajolika; Core Area Index – za stanje uzoraka krajolika;Average Nearest Neighbor – za položaj uzoraka krajolika. Najvažniji je rezultat ovog rada da je regresijskom analizom ustanovljena povezanost za oblik i stanje, te za oblik i položaj uzoraka krajolika Srednje Like, dok nije utvrđena povezanost za stanje i položaj uzoraka krajolika Srednje Like

    The features, advantages and disadvantages of using QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo Pro when creating atlases of various types (geographic, complex and thematic) are considered in this paper. Schemes for their potential organization are presented and technological schemes for their automated creation in these geographic information systems are proposed. As a result, approaches and solutions for improving geographic information software can be formulated. Algorithms and modules were developed, primarily aimed at formalizing the structure of atlases and automating the design process of their mathematical basis. The development of functionality was implemented using built-in developer tools implemented in MapInfo as the MapBasic language, and in ArcGIS and QGIS in the Python programming language. A summary table was compiled, which presents the basic functionalities required to create atlases in GIS and their implementation in the appropriate software. These proposals will ensure the fulfillment of all requirements necessary for atlas design, primarily at the regional mapping level.U radu se razmatraju obilježja, prednosti i nedostatci softvera QGIS, ArcGIS i MapInfo Pro za izradu različitih tipova atlasa (geografskih, složenih i tematskih). Prikazane su sheme moguće organizacije takvih atlasa te predložene tehnološke sheme za njihovu automatsku izradu u razmatranim geografskim informacijskim sustavima (GIS). Ishod je formulacija pristupa i rješenja za poboljšanje softvera za GIS. Razvijeni su algoritmi i moduli čiji je glavni cilj formaliziranje strukture atlasa i automatizacija procesa oblikovanja njihove matematičke osnove. Razvoj funkcionalnosti ugrađen je s pomoću postojećih alata u softveru MapInfo kao jezik MapBasic, a u softverima ArcGIS i QGIS u jeziku Python. Izrađena je pregledna tablica koja prikazuje osnovne funkcionalnosti potrebne za izradu atlasa u GIS-u te njihovu ugradnju u razmatrani softver. Ti će prijedlozi osigurati ispunjenje svih potrebnih zahtjeva za izradu atlasa, pogotovo na regionalnoj razini kartiranja

    The aim of this expert paper is to show development in the area of cartography in chronological order from the time when Albania first appeared on maps by well-known Venetian cartographers (with toponyms in Albanian). An overview of various topographic maps and maritime charts is presented, along with the relevant local and international institutions whose main activities were cartography and geoinformation during different periods. An expert opinion is expressed on the current state of cartographic and geoinformation data as a scientific discipline, with a special emphasis on alignment with international standards.Svrha je ovoga stručnog rada kronološkim redoslijedom prikazati razvoj na području kartografije od vremena kada je Albanija prvi put pronađena na kartama poznatih venecijanskih kartografa s toponimima na albanskom jeziku. Izvršen je pregled različitih topografskih i pomorskih karata, kao i relevantnih lokalnih i međunarodnih institucija u različitim vremenskim razdobljima čija je glavna djelatnost bila područje kartografije i geoinformacije. Izneseno je stručno mišljenje o trenutnom stanju kartografskih i geoinformacijskih podataka kao znanstvene discipline s posebnim naglaskom na usklađivanje tih podataka s međunarodnim standardima

    Spatial analyses for the City of Zagreb are mostly produced by the Department for Spatial Information and Research of the Zagreb City Office for Strategic Planning and Development, which is also the coordinator of Zagreb Infrastructure Spatial Data (Croatian acronym: ZIPP). Based on an extensive database, spatial research, analyses, indicators and analytical bases can be accessed for the needs of strategic planners and other users. Examples from practice are described which are publicly available on the web pages of the City of Zagreb, and which were produced at the request of city administrative bodies or private use, from analyses of population density, access to public transport, access to public green spaces, the network of preschool and primary school facilities, strategic city projects, capital investments in buildings for social activities, and public architecture-urbanism tenders, to registering damage after the earthquakes in Zagreb. Spatial analyses provide data which encourage the rational use of spatial resources and informed city administration. New features are interactive web applications with publicly available data which achieve transparency on the part of the city administration. One of the advantages is that they can be refreshed in real time.Prostorne analize za Grad Zagreb velikim dijelom izrađuje Odjel za prostorne informacije i istraživanja Gradskog ureda za strategijsko planiranje i razvoj Grada, koji je ujedno koordinator Zagrebačke infrastrukture prostornih podataka. Temeljem bogate baze podataka izrađuju se prostorna istraživanja, analize, pokazatelji i analitičke podloge za potrebe strategijskog planiranja te druge potrebe i korisnike. Opisani su primjeri iz prakse koji su javno dostupni na web stranicama Grada Zagreba, a izrađeni su na zahtjeve gradskih upravnih tijela ili za vlastite potrebe - od analize gustoće stanovništva, dostupnosti javnog prijevoza, dostupnosti javnih zelenih površina, mreže dječjih vrtića i osnovnih škola, strateških gradskih projekata, kapitalnih ulaganja u objekte za društvene djelatnosti, javnih arhitektonsko-urbanističkih natječaja do prijave šteta nakon potresa u Zagrebu. Prostorne analize daju podatke kojima se potiče racionalno korištenje prostornih resursa i pametno upravljanje gradom. Novost su interaktivne web aplikacije s javno dostupnim podatcima kojima se postiže transparentnost gradske uprave, a njihova je prednost osvježavanje podataka u stvarnom vremenu

    In 2005, Google Maps was launched on the internet as a service intended to aid orientation in space and navigation from one point to another by car, public transport, on foot, by bicycle, or by plane.     This overview describes the extension to the research of Roman centuriation of Iader (Zadar) ager, which is related to the continental part of ager. My previous research encompassed the insular part of the ancient ager of Zadar, the Island of Ugljan (Kadi 2016, 2019).Ovaj prikaz opisuje nastavak istraživanja rimske centurijacije jader­tinskog (zadarskog agera), a odnosi se na kopneni dio agera.
