EVALUATION OF SOUTH SULAWESI ON STUDENT DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM
AbstracThe purpose of this study is to provide reports on the advantages, weaknesses and recommendations related to the program to become better at PPLP in South Sulawesi in terms of context, input, process and product (CIPP) with qualitative and quantitative research approach. The instrument of this research is observation, documentation and questionnaire arranged to collect quantitative data, while interview guidance instrument is arranged to collect qualitative data. The data collected from the elements of trainers, athletes, and administrators were analyzed quantitatively descriptive percentage using microsoft excell and qualitative data analysis triangulation. The result of South Sulawesi PPLP evaluation is statistically from context variable, input, process, product as a whole has been done well with 70.30% percentage. The evaluation of context variables shows excellent results with a 90% percentage. The input evaluation showed good results with the percentage of 61.40%. The results of the evaluation process showed good results with a percentage of 77.46%. Product evaluation results show considerable results with 52.34% percentage.Keywords: Program Evaluation, CIPP, PPLP Coaching South Sulawesi
DEVELOPMENT OF DRIBBLING BASIC TECHNIQUE SKILL OF STUDENTS OF PSTS TABING PADANG FOOTBALL SCHOOL
The objective of this research is to create dribbling learning models and to experiment dribbling training models of playing football for students of Football School (FBS) of PSTS Tabing Padang. This research was conducted at the FBS using the football experts and the students as the subjects. The research conducted was development model of Borg and Gall. The validation data of the experts were collected through field notes and questionnaires, analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. The dribbling basic technique skill of football was analyzed by using t-test. The research findings are as follows: (1) football dribbling basic technique skill which were developed based on the training principles and training methodology, starting from the simple one and ended by game situation, (2) the training model is very effective to be used in the process of training, (3) it was empirically proved that the model was effective. THE EFFECTS OF TRAINING METHODS AND ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION TOWARD OF FOOTBALL PASSING SKILLS
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the training methods of structured and play as well as achievement motivation on the passing skills of football. Research was conducted on athletes at the Muspan FC Football School of Padang. This type of research is experimental design was used treatment by the level of 2x2. The study population was all athletes the Muspan FC Football School of Padang, amounting to 134 athletes. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique is to set a midlevel athletes aged 13-15 years amounted to 74 athletes. Samples treated in this study were 40 athletes. The data obtained and analyzed by analysis of variance (ANAVA) and two lanes. and subsequently followed by Tuckey's test at a significance level a = 0, 05. The results showed that (1). Results of passing skills of football in the treatment of structured training method (A1) is higher than the results of play method (A2). (2). There is the influence of the interaction between training methods (A) and achievement motivation (B) the passing skills of football. (3). Results of passing skills of football on the treatment method structured exercise high achievement motivation (A1B1) higher than the results of the play method high achievement motivation (A2B1). (4). Results of passing skills of football in the treatment of structured training method low achievement motivation (A1B2) is lower than the play method low achievement motivation (A2B2)
TEACHING METHODS OF PRACTICE STYLE AND COMMAND STYLE IN IMPROVING THE SKILL OF BUTTERFLY STROKE
The objective of this research is to find out different impacts of the teaching methods; practice style and command style. This research is conducted in the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Padang during the academic year of 2010/2011. The applied research method is an experimental method. The sample consists of 40 (college) students who are divided into 4 groups of 10 persons. The data analysis technique is performed by a two-ways variance analysis followed by the tukey test at the significance level = 0, 05. The results of this research are: 1) in all aspects, the skill of butterfly stroke by the teaching method of command style is better than the practice style, 2) for the students with high motor skills, the skill of butterfly stroke by the teaching method of practice style is better than the command style, and 3) for the students with low motor skills, the skill of butterfly stroke by the teaching method of command style is better than the practice style. THE MINDSET OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE (PE) TEACHERS IN DISTRICT 134 UNPAS ON THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AFTER COMPLETING IN-SERVICE TEACHER EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING (PLPG)
This study is intended to describe the mindset of Physical Exercise (henceforth PE) teachers on physical education after completing in-service teacher education and professional training (henceforth PLPG). This study employed qualitative descriptive method. The population of this study is PE teachers in district 134 UNPAS that includes Karawang area, the city/the regency of Bogor, West Bandung regency, the city/the regency of Sukabumi, Cianjur, Purwakarta, Subang, Cimahi, and Bekasi. The sample of this study was 29 participants. The sample was drawn by means of incidental sampling method. The data collection instrumen used is rating scale mindset of the participants’ understanding of physical education. The data was further analyzed by using descriptive analysis technique. The findings show that the level of understanding of the PE teachers about the implementation of reached 89% which belong in the criterion ‘very good’. The description of every indicator demonstrates that: a) the perception of physical exercise teaching as much as 88,5% is categorized as good, b) physical education knowledge is considered as good as much as 89,5%, c) the effort to enhance teaching skills is 79,3%, which belongs in the criterion ‘good’. In conclusion, generally, the mindset of the participants in district 134 UNPAS in understanding the aspect of physical education implementation reached 89% with the criterion ‘very good’. This implication of this study is that in the implementation of PLPG, the emphasis should be paced upon enhancing understanding of physical education concept and the effort to hone the ability in teaching physical exercise in creative and innovative fashion
THE EFFECT OF TRAINING METHOD AND MOTOR ABILITY TO POWER DOLLYO CHAGI KICK TAEKWONDO
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of plyometrics training methods and weight training methods on the explosive power of Taekwondo dollyo chagi kicks. The study was conducted to the students of physical education and health FKIP Pattimura University of Ambon in 2012. The method of this research used field experiment with factorial design 2 x 2. From the results of ANOVA test, it was found: (1) There was explosive power difference between the Chagi Dollyo kick used plyometrics method exercises and weight training method, (2) There was interaction between the training methods and motor ability to the explosive power of Taekwondo dollyo chagi kick, (3) The athletes of high motor ability there were significant differences in the increasing of explosive power dollyo chagi kick between plyometrics methods exercises and weight training methods. (4) The athletes of low motor ability there were not significant differences in the increasing of explosive power dollyo chagi kick between with weight training method plyometrics training methods. THE BALANCE OF LEARNING MODEL DEVELOPMENT AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGE
This research aims to produce a balance learning model for elementary school age. This study used Research & Development (R&D) method. Instrument used in this research is balance a Modified Test of Dynamic Balance applied to collect data in children of elementary school age. Those step are: (1) need analysis, (2) expert justment; (3) limited trial (small group trial); and (4) main trial (field testing). Effectiveness of implementation of balance learning model in children of elementary school age using sample of 70 students by "t-test†techniqe. Pre test and post test were obtained the average result of pre test of 39,85 and average post test 68,42. The total of pre test and post test was 28,57 with deviation standard of 8,89 and t value pf 26,88 so the data is declared significant. It means balance model in children at elementary school age is effective to improve elementary school balance. Based on results of research it is concluded that the balance model in children at elementary school age being developed has a significant effectiveness
GENDER DIFFERENCES ON THE ATTITUDES OF PHILIPPINE NORMAL UNIVERSITY COLLEGE STUDENTS TOWARDS DANCING
Gender differences and the attitudes of students towards physical activities are at times used as measures or determinants in the effectiveness and success of teaching dance as one of the many activities in Physical Education program which was found out to be beneficial to students ’ total development; physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. Hence, the belief on female dominance and stereotyping associated with dance, created a stigma among male students to engage in any dance program. The study identifies the current status of the respondents’ attitude towards dancing with emphasis on specifying the significant differences on the variables associated to the attitudes of the respondents. The descriptive method of research was employed using two hundred forty nine (249) second year College students consisted of one hundred ninety two (192) female and fifty seven (57) male students. The data in this study were obtained using a researcher-made questionnaire patterned after the Modified Fennema-Sherman questionnaire which underwent validation before its utilization.The mean and t- test used to analyze the collected data and findings revealed that differences in the attitudes of both male and female in terms of perception on teacher’s attitude, personal confidence about the subject matter, and the usefulness of the subject content were found not significant except on the subject perceived as a female domain. The conclusions and recommendations based on these findings were identified and discussed
THE EFFECT OF TRAINING METHOD AND LEG POWER TOWARD DOLYO CHAGI ABILITY
The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of training method and leg power toward dolyo chagi ability of taekwondo athletes.In this research factorial design 2 x 3 was applied. The sample of this research is 60 athletes and was chosen by purposive sampling technique. From the result of data analysis and interpretation,it can be concluded that: (1) There is difference influence between the plyometric training, saq and circuit toward dolyo chagi ability (2) There is difference influence between the strong leg power group and weak leg power group toward dolyo chagi ability (3) There was an interaction between training method and leg power toward dolyo chagi ability. (4) On strong leg power group, the ability of dolyo chagi with plyometric training method was better than saq training. (5) On strong leg power group, the ability of dolyo chagi with plyometric was better than circuit training. (6) On strong leg power group, the ability of dolyo chagi with saq training method was better than circuit training. (7) On weak leg power group, the ability of dolyo chagi with saq method was better than plyometric method. DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MODEL SMASH VOLLEYBALL BASED MULTIPLE TRAINING IN FACULTY OF SPORT SCIENCES STATE UNIVERSITY OF MEDAN
This research is to development learning model smash volleyball based multiple training in State University of Medan. This method was research and development/R & D proposed by Borg and Gall (2005). Based on trial results found, multiple based learning model increaset the skill of volley ball smash technique mastery at faculty of Sport Science of Medan Stated University. Multiple training based learning model is wearing 7 group, and 21 forms of learning. 21 models of learning based training deemed necessary multiple training applied in each learning smash volleyball. The results of this the new model of learning assessment indicators is more effective than the old one. The average effectiveness of the attitudes perfect/SS indicator is older models of learning is 78.33% and 86.67% of new models of learning. The average of effectiveness in SW indicator is older models of learning is 73.33% and 80.00% of new models of learning. The average effectiveness of the NT indicator on older models of learning is 71.67% and 85.00% of new models of learning. The average effectiveness of the indicators of S^ on the old model of learning is 70.00% and 78.33% of new models of learning. Learning outcomes (average of all indicators) that reach increased from 73.33% to 82.50%. It can be concluded that multiple training based learning model more effective than the old learning model
