Partisipasi Warga terhadap Sistem Informasi Desa
The existence of village information service using technology is one of the villages effort to achieve transparency of information to various parties. The existence of information systems make citizens’ access to get information more widely and easily. The important thing in this system is about the participation of the villagers. This research was conducted in Terong village, Dlingo - Bantul with the assumption that the information system in this village is one of the applications which afforded by LSM Combine Resource Institute participatory. The method of the research uses a qualitative descriptive study. Target of the research is social life or society as a whole or a whole entity. A technique to obtain data is from observations, focus group discussions and interviews with informants who are considered to be related to the information system of the village. The data analysis are using interactive analysis model which developed by Miles and Hubermann. The result showed that: 1. Public participation to the existence of village information system started when the system is put in place. 2. The emergence of community participation due to the great synergy between village officials, LSM and communities. 3. Participation of community should be increased by controlling the presence of village information system for the public
Kohesivitas Suami Istri Dalam Mewujudkan Keharmonisan Rumah Tangga: Studi Kasus di Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta
Each couple must have longed for harmony in the household, but many of them decide to divorce. The issue is not resolved for the sake of the problems cause conflict.This happens when couples are no longer uphold openness and trust. This study raised the marital cohesion in the area of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta, considering this region occurred in the case of divorce due to lack of harmony in the marital relationship. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with three pairs of husband and wife. Pola Komunikasi Antarbudaya Batak dan Jawa di Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta City is one of the multiethnic cities in Indonesia, the majority of which are migrants who are students studying at UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta. The students have cultural differences from the culture in Yogyakarta, which often causes problems of intercultural communication. The purpose of this study is; (1) to find out the pattern of intercultural communication among Batak tribe students at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta with the indigenous people of Yogyakarta; (2) to identify problems of intercultural communication among Batak tribe students at UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta with the indigenous people of Yogyakarta. This research uses the theory of ethnocentrism and intercultural communication concepts. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, which seeks to describe a social phenomenon. In other words, this research aims to describe the nature of something that is taking place at the time of the study. This research uses data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this study describe the different cultural patterns between Batak tribe students at UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta and indigenous people of Yogyakarta. Batak students at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta have a Low Context and Masculinity cultural pattern, while the indigenous people of Yogyakarta have a High Context and Femininity cultural pattern. The pattern of communication that exists between the Batak tribe students at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta with the indigenous people of Yogyakarta has entered a dynamic phase of an intercultural communication because it has gone through an interactive and transactional stage. Intercultural communication problems that occur are, in the use of language, perception, forms of non-verbal communication, food and social interaction, but both are able to interpret and understand different cultural forms

This article begin from the research of how the language be used in the broadcast radio industry in Indonesia (especially in the radio network Pramboprs Rassisonia) can not be separated from the logic of capitalism. Operational of capitalism ideology in the media industry generally produce uniformity in the media message, including the language and how to speak. This study departs from the rampant phenomenon of people believe and go shaman. Shamans believed to have the ability and expertise to provide suggestions in the process of healing and helping people. The problem in this study is how the experience, skills and expertise shaman in Lamongan in his work treating and helping the client? The purpose of this study was to understand and explore in depth the communication competence magical shaman related to his work in serving and treating clients in Lamongan East Java Province. This study used a phenomenological approach to qualitative research methods The subjects in this study were shamans and existing clients in the area of Lamongan East Java Province. Data sources or selected informants purposively with the terms directly experience the events that are the focus of research, able to recount events that happened, and be willing to research informants. Data collection techniques in this study using the technique of interviewing, observation, and document review. While the data analysis techniques used in this study are three flow activities: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The results of this study describes the capabilities and expertise of shaman is suwuk, petungan, penerawangan, and prewangan. Symbols of local culture especially Nias on TVC (Television Commercial) Kuku Bima Ener-G, version of “Let’s Travel to North Sumatra” from PT. Sidomuncul. Authors conducted a case study of the culture that campaigned Sidomuncul advertising through television media. The study was conducted using a critical research paradigm, which aim uncover Nias cultural symbols in the TVC of products Kuku Bima Ener-G PT Sidomuncul. The results suggested that the symbols used for Nias cultural values embodied in these symbols siding with the values espoused by Sidomuncul
