Difference in The Incidence Severe Preeclampsia and Eclampsia between Maternal Age 20-34 Years and >34 Years in dr. Soebandi Hospital Jember
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high. The maternal mortality rate continues to rise due to hypertension, one of which is caused by pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Many factors cause preeclampsia, including advanced maternal age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of advanced maternal age during pregnancy with severe preeclampsia and eclampsia in RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. This study used cross sectional approach using 264 samples were divided into two groups, there are pregnant women aged 20-34 years and >34 years. The results of data analysis using Chi Square for severe preeclampsia and obtained p = 0.015 and OR = 2.494, which means there is a significant difference in comparison severe preeclampsia between gestational age of 20-34 years and >34 years. At the age of 20-34 years from 216 samples found 28 people suffering from severe preeclampsia (12.9%). Whereas at the age of mother> 34 years of 48 people found 13 people (27.1%) suffered severe preeclampsia Results of data analysis obtained eclampsia using Fisher and p = 0.554, which means there are no significant differences in comparison eclampsia between gestational age of 20-34 years and >34 years. At the age of 20-34 years from 216 samples found 3 people suffering from eclampsia (1.38%). While at mother age> 34 years from 48 people found 1 person (2.08%) suffered eclampsia
The Effectiveness of Nutrition Counseling on The First Thousand Days of Life Group in Improving Knowledge and Attitude on Nutrition Awareness
Nutrition status in the first thousand days of life (FTDL) of 270 days during pregnancy and 730 days in the infant's first life is a critical period, since the resulting consequences are permanent and irreparable. There are still many problems in the group of FTDL around the campus of University of Jember which require intensive handling, such as stunting, low energy protein, anemia, underweight and etc. Methods of improving the quality of nutrition for the FTDL group can be done by increasing knowledge about nutrition through counseling by utilizing various media (posters, brochures, videos, demos and presentation slides). This study aims to determine how far is the effectiveness of nutrition counseling in improving knowledge and attitude awareness on nutrition problems. The method used was to give counselling on nutrition in the target groups (members of Posyandu Catleya A and B) and assessed changes by comparing the level of nutritional knowledge and attitude before and after receiving counseling. The results showed there were significant differences in the level of nutritional knowledge and attitude between before and after the counseling about nutrition and food processing technology. It can be concluded that this method is quite effective to raise awareness of FTDL group on nutrition problems.

Monitoring Of Side Effects Of Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) On The Intensive Phase Treatment Of Pulmonary TB Patients In Makassar
Side effects of Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) is a problem in the treatment of TB patients. The severity of the side effects experienced by patients will have an impact on treatment compliance and loss to follow-up rate. This study aimed to obtain information about ATD side effects experienced by pulmonary TB patients during the intensive phase treatment in Makassar. This type of research was observational descriptive with the time series design. The number of samples in this study were 58 people. The results showed that the percentage of patients who experienced ATD side effects during the intensive phase of treatment is the first week of 96.6%, 91.4% the second week, third week of 86.2%, 74.1% fourth week, the fifth week 74.1% , the sixth week 81%, the seventh week of 75.9% and 67.2% eighth week. The percentage of patients based on the type of side effects experienced is 81% joint pain, nausea 79.3%, 77.6% itching, loss of appetite 75.9%, 67.2% dizziness, tingling 50%, vomiting 41.4%, 34.5% abdominal pain, visual disturbances 27.6%, headache 24.1% and 6.9% hearing loss. This study showed that patients experienced ATD side effects every week during the intensive phase treatment. More side effects experienced during the first and the second weeks and tend to decrease until the end of the intensive phase. The main type of side effects experienced by TB patients are joint pain. Health workers should always conduct routine monitoring of ATD side effects experienced by TB patients in order to improve patient treatment compliance and prevent them from loss to follow-up of treatment. The Difference in Lemuru Fish Oil Duration of Administration on Connective Tissue Fibroblast Cell Count in Rheumatoid Arthritis Rat Model
Rheumatoid arthritis is a joint chronic inflammation process leadingto progressive distruction.Cytokinessecreted from chronic inflammation increases fibroblast cell number that synthesize matrix metalloproteinase. Non steroidal anti inflammation drugs administrated to lighten inflammation symptoms had several side effects that increase the urge to discover an alternative antiinflammation with lower side effect like lemuru fish oil. This true experimental study with randomized post test only control group design aimed to investigate the difference in lemuru fish oil duration of administration on connective tissue fibroblast cell count in rheumatoid arthritis rat model. The One Way Anovatestrevealed that there are at least two group means that are statistically significant different from each other with a p value of 0,004. Post Hoc LSD analysis result indicate a significant difference after21 days duration of administrationcompared to 7 days administration with significance value of 0,038.It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in lemuru fish oil administration after21 days duration
The Effect of Eccentric Activity on Glucose Transporter Type 4 in Gastrocnemius Muscle of Streptozotocin-induced Diabetes Mellitus Mice
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder with increasing mortality rate. Decrease in GLUT-4 levels was found in diabetics resulting in an increase in postprandial blood glucose levels. Various innovative treatment have been developed, one of them is exercise. Exercise is growing fast today, especially eccentric contraction based exercise that potentially increase GLUT-4 muscle’s level. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of eccentric activity on glucose transporter type 4 in gastrocnemius muscle of streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus mice. Diabetic mice were grouped randomly into 2 groups. One group was given single bout of eccentric excercise by downhill running on 10o degree decline treadmill and the other group was given eccentric activity by downhill running on 0o degree. The GLUT-4 muscle’s level were measured after treadmill. Data obtained from each group were then analyzed using independent t-test, significant results were found (p<0.05). The conclusion of this study is single bout eccentric downhill running activity with 10o angel increases the levels of GLUT-4 muscles.

Comparison of the Effectiveness of 10% Sulfur Soap and 2-4 Ointment as Single Treatment
Scabies disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis mites has become a problem in a whole world especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Scabies has a very contagious nature especially in places with dense population levels like Islamic boarding school. Permethrin which is a drug of choice for scabies has a fairly expensive price so it is less effective when used in mass treatment. In Indonesia, sulfur preparations, especially 10% sulfur soap and 2-4 ointment are easy to obtain because the price is affordable and available at the community health clinic. The purpose of this study is to know the difference in effectiveness of 10% sulfur soap and 2-4 ointment as a single treatment and combination on scabies disease. In this clinical trial study, treatment was performed on 3 groups, 10% sulfur soap group (n=36), 2-4 ointment group (n=36) and combination group (n=36). The examination was done on days 8, 15 and 22. Data analysis using SPSS version 23 with chi-square test. The results showed that the highest recovery rate was in combination group (week-1 (22,22%), week-2 (63,89%) and week-3 (94,44%)) followed by 2-4 ointment group (week-1 (11,11%), week-2 (72,22%) and week-3 (88,89%)) and 10% sulfur soap group (week-1 (2,78%), week-2 (52,78%) and week-3 (75,0%). The results of the analysis comparing the 10% sulfur soap group with the combination group showed p value on all consecutive examinations p=0,013, p=0,339 and p=0,022. In the comparison 2-4 ointment group to the combination group obtained p value on all examinations respectively p=0,206, p=0,448 and p=0,394. The conclusion is combination therapy had the highest cure rate and statistically significant (p=<0,05) was obtained in comparison of 10% sulfur soap to combination at week-1 and week-3 examination.

Immunoblotting Detection of Immunoglobulin G Post Subcutaneous Immunization Of Protein Hemaglutinin Pili Klebsiella pneumoniae 12,8 kDa on Mice BALB / C
Klebsiella pneumoniae is the second most common cause of community infection and nosocomial infections due to Gram-negative bacteria. These bacteria are able to induce the onset of immune response, especially humoral immune response.Humoral immunity acts through the activation of B cells that produce antibodies. Antibodies, especially IgG, will cause encapsulated bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumoniae to be better phagocytosed. The purpose of this study was to determine the IgG response to hemagglutinin protein pili K. pneumoniae 12.8 kDa. The method used in this research is Immunoblotting method with western blot and dot blot. The primary antibodies used for the western blot and dot blot tests were isolated from BALB / C mice serum induced with the subcutaneous pili K. pneumoniae 12.8 kDa protein. To get the standard in assessing the results of dot blot were used Corel Photo-paint X6. The semi-quantitative result of dot blot was obtained with the strongest reaction of the antibody dilution at 1/100 while the antigen dilution titer at 1 / 10.000. Results from western blotting showed a positive reaction of the pili protein subunit with a molecular weight of 128.1 kDa, 114.4 kDa, 64.9 kDa, 31.1 kDa, 27.7 kDa, 24.8 kDa, 20.9 kDa, 12.8 kDa, and 10 kDa. The conclusion of this study is the immunization of hemagglutinin pili K. pneumoniae 12.8 kDa subcutaneously capable of inducing the formationof Immunoglobulin G in BALB / C mice
Study of Kidney Repair Mechanism of Cassava Leaf Extract on Gentamicin induced Nephrotoxicity
Drugs consumption like gentamicin caused damage and decreased of kidney function. Cassava leaf contain lots of micronutrients, such as vitamin C, vitamin A and carotenoids, which also as an antioxidant. The results of the study conducted by Almashuri proved that cassava leaf have high levels of carotenoid compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cassava leaf extract on the repairment of renal damage in mice in vivo. This research is true experimental using mice (mus musculus) and were grouped into 5 groups. Two control groups (positive and negative) and 3 treatment groups (cassava leaves 150, 300, and 450 mg / day). Gentamicin is given every day for 14 days and then observed on serum levels of creatinine along with histopathological scores of kidneys’ damage. Statistical analysis showed a significant reduction in serum levels of creatinine (P <0.05) and a significant decrease in renal histopathologic score. This study suggests that cassava leaf extract can repair kidney damage as a result gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in mice.Keywords: cassava leaf extract, creatinin, kidney histopathologyÂ
The Effectivenes of Red Rice to Decrease Total Cholesterol in Type 2 DM Patients
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases with hyperglycemia characteristic that happens because anomaly of insulin secretion or insulin activity. Insulin deficiency in type 2 DM caused dislipidemia. Red rice are contain fiber, essential fatty acid and Gamma Amino Butiric Acid (GABA). This research intended to know the effectiveness of red rice to decrease total cholesterol levels of patient with type 2 DM. Clinical test with quasi experimental and research design non randomized control-group pretest-postest design was used for the research method. Total samples of this research are 36 samples. The treated group was given the red rice during 6 days on breakfast and dinner, while the control group did not have any intervention. The research showed that average cholesterol levels in the beginning and finale of treated group was 235,69 mg/dL and 198,56 mg/dL, while average cholesterol levels in the beginning and finale of control group was 235,72 mg/dL and 256,50 mg/dL. From this research, red rice has effective to decrease  total cholesterol levels of patients with type 2 DM.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, Red Rice, Cholesterol total level
Syzygium Samarangense Leaves Ointment Enhances Wound Healing Process Of Skin Burn Based On Collagen
Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates the number of death in 2014 caused by burns is 265,000. Burns can caused skin damage as well as other complication problems such as dehydration, infection, and other multiple organ failures. Syzygium samarangense leaves contain flavonoids and saponins that can increase the activation of macrophages and TGF-B which is important to accelerate the process of collagen formation and wound healing process. Objective: Knowing the effect of Syzygium samarangense leaf extract on the healing process of burn based on collagen. Method: This in vivo study use true experimental design. We made burns by placing a coin that already heated in oven at 70ºC for 10 seconds. Rattus Wistar as experimental animals dividedinto 6 groups (n = 4) with details of Group A (normal), B (positive), C (negative). Groups D, E, and F were the groups that given ointment extract topically in doses of 15%, 30%, and 45% each day’s. Termination is done on day 7. Test statistics by using Anova and Kruskal Wallis. Results and discussion: From this research, Syzygium samarangense leaf extract can reduce the wound area (p <0,05) and increase the amount of collagen (p <0,05). Conclusion: Syzygium samarangense leaf extract ointment can accelerate the healing process of burns.
