HERPETOFAUNAL REMAINS (ANURA, CROCODYLIA, TESTUDINES, SQUAMATA) FROM THE LATE MIOCENE OF THE CREVILLENTE AREA (SE SPAIN): PALAEOBIOGEOGRAPHICAL AND PALAEOECOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS
In the present work we describe the palaeoherpetofaunal remains from the Crevillente 2 (MN11) and Crevillente 15 (MN12) sites (Crevillente, Alicante, Spain), which is a key area for understanding the faunal turnovers during the Late Miocene. Crevillente 2 has yielded a diverse assemblage composed of anurans (Pelophylax sp.), crocodylians (Crocodylia indet.), lizards (cf. Scinciformata indet. 1 and 2, cf. Timon sp., Lacertidae indet. 1 and 2, Ophisaurus s.l. sp., and Pseudopus sp.) and ophidians (Colubridae indet. 1 and 2, Neonatrix sp., and Viperidae indet. Oriental morphotype). The probable presence of Timon is discussed; if confirmed, it would be the oldest occurrence of the genus. The faunal composition is consistent with that from other coeval Iberian sites. The assemblage includes European autochthonous taxa (Lacertidae and Ophisaurus s.l. sp.) and taxa that likely arrived from Asia or North America during the Oligocene-Miocene transition or the Early Miocene, such as Pseudopus, Oriental vipers and, probably, Neonatrix. The studied assemblage in Crevillente 15 is limited to turtles (Paleotestudo sp. and Testudines indet.) and crocodylians (Crocodylia indet.). At both localities, the surrounding landscape must have been dominated by open habitats with patches of forest/shrubland formations close to water bodies. The application of the Herpetological Ecophysiological Groups method to Crevillente 2 indicates that the mean annual rainfall must have been higher than currently recorded in the area. the Herpetological Ecophysiological Groups method to Crevillente 2 indicates that the mean annual rainfall must have been higher than that currently recorded in the area. Our results indicate that the Iberian palaeoherpetofauna of those chronologies were few barely affected by the Vallesian Crisis
Starting from the postulate that the teaching of French in a FLE context, from both a linguistic and ethical perspective, since the turn of the 21st century, is called upon to pay increased attention to the concept of variation, this reflection fits into the theoretical framework established by sociolinguistics (cf. Gadet (1997) ; Calvet (2017)) and by the study of regionalisms in the Antilles (cf. Thibault (2012)) and aims to identify the forms and challenges of diatopic variation, thus substituting for the notion of the uniqueness of the French language, that of plurality, inclusive and reflexive. The aim is to propose strategies that facilitate the analysis of the morpho-lexical field of a literary corpus rich in metalinguistic echoes, extracted from the second volume of the autofiction Une enfance créole by writer Patrick Chamoiseau, entitled Chemin-d’école, published in 1994. To this end, after identifying specialized lexicographic tools available online, brief lexicographic articles inserted within tables will be presented, allowing observations to be made on the nature of the identified neologisms. It will also be a matter of bringing out a complex literariness, capable of sensitizing learners to central issues mirrored by the text, namely the inherent tensions in a diglossic context that are crystallized, if not surpassed, through literary writing

Translating multilingualism: the Italian dubbing of Master of None
In today’s world, multilingualism is becoming more and more significant due to the rise in migration, technology, and tourism. This results in diverse cultural and linguistic communities coexisting and enriching society. In recent decades, the film and television industries have increasingly included linguistic diversity in their productions to pursue realism and represent multicultural and multilingual realities. This article explores the complex relationship between multilingualism, translation and character portrayal in audiovisual products. Specifically, it examines the Italian dubbing of the American TV series Master of None, which portrays characters navigating multiple languages and cultural identities. The article aims at identifying the different forms and functions of multilingualism and analysing the translation strategies adopted in the Italian dubbed version.
