The population consists of 120 students, with a sample of 60 students selected randomly. Data were collected through essay tests, and a pretest confirmed the groups' homogeneity. The experimental group's mean pretest score was 63.00, while the control group's was 53.50. Post-treatment, the experimental group's mean score improved to 73.33, indicating a good proficiency level, compared to the control group's 63.67, which was deemed adequate. Hypothesis testing showed a significant effect (tcount = 5.110, ttable = 2.002), suggesting that Project Strategy positively influences students' writing abilities.

Cognitive Challenge in Translation and Interpreting Studies
The field of Translation and Interpreting (T&I) encompasses bilingual activities in transferring messages from a source language to a target language with an assertive cognitive capacity to produce natural and equivalent meaning. This study serves as a preliminary experiment to explore the cognitive capacity development of ESL students in rendering messages within T&I. Mix-method is applied by involving 28 students taking the test of rendering the messages orally and in written. The experiment consists of three stages: a CEFR test, which reveals that the students' highest level is B1 Intermediate; a 12-session T&I course covering theory, strategies, and practice; and an evaluation phase including feedback collected through questionnaires. In general, the T&I process of rendering messages from English (EN) to Indonesian (ID) is deemed naturally acceptable, and the students are able to accomplish the task. However, there are challenges related to working memory, which result in students not achieving excellent test scores. The EN-ID group shows better performance in translating and interpreting, particularly in the higher score ranges, whereas the ID-EN group has a larger number of participants with lower scores. Additionally, delivering messages from Indonesian to English poses challenges, especially in the context of noun phrases. These challenges are primarily attributed to differences in word order, determiners and articles, prepositions, idiomatic expressions, vocabulary, as well as the participants' proficiency level and exposure to both languages

An Analysis of Language Styles in the Movie “Instant Family”
This study analyzes the language styles in the movie "Instant Family," a drama directed by Sean Anders and released on Netflix on January 19, 2019. Language style variation is a natural aspect of communication, influenced by social contexts and interlocutors. In "Instant Family," these variations are explored to understand how writers and speakers use language choices, sentence structures, and situational contexts to convey meaning. The research employs a qualitative content analysis approach, involving repeated viewings of the film to identify and categorize language styles based on Martin Joos’ theory: frozen, formal, consultative, informal, and intimate. Each dialogue instance is analyzed in relation to its context and character relationships to illustrate the use of different language styles in character development and emotional expression. The study's descriptive qualitative design reveals five distinct language styles. Analysis identifies thirty instances of these styles within the movie's dialogues, with formal style being the most prevalent, appearing eleven times. This predominance is attributed to the numerous public exchanges led by the protagonist, particularly in scenes involving interactions between the presiding officer and the accused. The study suggests that English Department students further investigate language styles across various sources, including movies, novels, social media, and articles. Analyzing linguistic styles in "Instant Family" is crucial for understanding how language choices shape character development and thematic expression. This research serves as a foundation for future studies in film and communication, exploring the impact of linguistic styles on audiences and narrative
