PERTUMBUHAN DAN KUALITAS Anthurium hookeri PADA BERBAGAI PEMBERIAN BORON
Title : The Growth and Quality of Anthurium hookeri on Various Boron Application. Anthurium hookeri is one of ornamental plants having high economical and aesthetic value, however they growth slowly. For accelerate their growth can be done by giving accurate nutrient and appropriate concentration. Boron is one of essential nutrient for plant having important role in cell wall and translocation carbohydrate. The aim of this research is to study the effect of applying boron on growth of A. hookeri and to find out the appropriate boron concentration for growth of A. hookeri. The research was arranged based on Split Plot Design with 2 factors and 4 replicates. The main factor was the kind of A. hookeri (green and red) and the sub plot was boron concentration with 4 levels e.i (0; 0,3; 0,6; and 0,9 ppm). The data observation ware analyzed by variance analysis and continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test in level 95 %. The research showed that there was no interaction between the kinds of A. hookeri and boron concentration. Application boron 0,3 ppm increase plant height, number of leaf, and width of leaf red A. hookeri, application boron 0,9 ppm rise plant height, number of leaf, width and quality of the green A. hookeri. EFISIENSI SERAPAN P DAN HASIL TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa L.) PADA BERBAGAI IMBANGAN PUPUK KANDANG PUYUH DAN PUPUK ANORGANIK DI LAHAN SAWAH PALUR SUKOHARJO (MUSIM TANAM II)
Title : Efficiency of P Up Take and The Yield of Rice Plant (Oryza sativa L.) with Quail Manure and Inorganic Fertilizer at Paddy Soil, Palur, Sukoharjo (Season II). This research was conducted on January-August 2008. Used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) that arranged in factorial with two factors. The first factor was 3 levels of inorganic fertilizer dosage i.e.: without inorganic fertilizer (A1), urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1 (A2), urea dosage 300 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 150 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 100 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 100 kg.ha-1 (A3). And second factor were 3 levels of quail manure dosage i.e.: without quail manure (O1), quail manure dosage 3 Mg.ha-1 (O2); quail manure dosage 6 Mg.ha-1 (O3). Statistical analysis that used was F test or Kruskal-Wallis test, Duncan Multiple Range (DMR) test at 5% in level, and Correlation test. The research result showed that the highest P uptake efficiency, agronomy efficiency, and the grain dry weight was achieved on 50% of inorganic fertilizer recommendation dosage (urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1) and 6 Mg.ha-1of quail manure treatment (A2O3) in mount of 38.83%, 30.40%, and 6.22 Mg.ha-1 respectively. P uptake efficiency in that treatment was increased as much 13.83% than the same treatment in session I. Generally, the grain dry weight on season II lower than season I. The significant decrease in mount of 2,33 Mg/ha-1 found on treatment of inorganic fertilizer present in 50% of recommendation dosage (urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg. ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1) and 3 Mg.ha-1 of quail manure treatment (A2O2). PENGARUH MEDIA TANAM DAN PEMUPUKAN NPKTERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT DAMAR MATA KUCING (Shorea javanica)
Title : Effect of Growing Media and NPK Fertilizer on Growth of Shorea Javanica. Cibodas botanical garden – LIPI had compost product based on organic waste material (litter, grass, twigs, and fruit) which were collected from garden. Compost was produced by two methods : using katalek bioactivator and natural compost without bioactivator. Utilization of compost as growing media at nursery unit botanical garden was not optimal. The objective of this research was to determine the ability of compost from botanical garden as a growing media for seedling collection at Cibodas botanical garden. This study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RAB) with six treatments and four replications using Shorea javanica as plants indicator. Three types of growing media (top soil, natural compost and katalek compost) were applied for the treatment with the addition or non addition of NPK fertilizer. However, control treatment was made from top soil without addition of NPK. The data showed that both natural compost and katalek compost were demonstrated better result than top soil growing media. Katalek compost without addition of NPK fertilizer gave significantly different result at enhancement of plant height, leaf number, and dry weight if compared with control.Kebun Raya Cibodas-LIPI memiliki produk kompos yang berbahan dasar sampah organik (serasah daun, potongan rumput, ranting dan buah yang jatuh) yang dikumpulkan dari kebun. Kompos dibuat dengan menggunakan dua metode, yaitu menggunakan bioaktivator katalek dan tanpa bioaktivator. Pemanfaatan kompos sebagai media tanam untuk pembibitan tanaman koleksi di unit pembibitan Kebun Raya Cibodas hingga saat ini belum optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensi kompos Kebun Raya Cibodas sebagai media tanam bibit tanaman koleksi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), terdapat enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan dengan menggunakan tanaman indikator Damar Mata Kucing (Shorea javanica). Perlakuan terdiri dari tiga jenis media tanam (top soil, kompos alami dan kompos katalek), masing-masing dengan atau tanpa penambahan pupuk NPK. Kontrol yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah media top soil tanpa penambahan NPK. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Shorea javanica yang ditanam pada media tanam kompos alami dan kompos katalek memiliki pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan Shorea javanica yang ditanam pada media top soil. Perlakuan kompos katalek tanpa penambahan pupuk NPK memberikan hasil yang signifikan terhadap penambahan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan berat kering tanaman jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol
PENGARUH DOSIS KOMPOS AZOLLA DAN PUPUK FOSFAT ALAM TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN FOSFOR DAN HASIL KACANG TANAH PADA ALFISOLS
Title : The Effect Of Azolla Compost and Phosphate Rock Fertilizer Doses on Phosphor Availability and Yield of Peanut on Alfisols. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the best doses combination of azolla compost and phosphate rock which gives the highest availability P and peanut yield. The experiment was conducted from May to November 2012 at Dryland Research Center Faculty, at Jumantono subdistrict, Karanganyar and Soil Chemistry and Fertility Laboratory of Agriculture University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta. The experiment design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with the treatments combination of azolla compost and phosphate rock fertilizers i.e P0 (without treatment), P1 (75 kg ha-1 of phosphate rock), P2 (150 kg ha-1of phosphate rock), P3 (2,5 tons ha-1 azolla compost), P4 (2.5 tons ha-1 azolla compost and 75 kg ha-1of phosphate rock ), P5 (2.5 tons ha-1 azolla compost and 150 kg ha-1 phosphate rock), P6 (5 tons ha-1 of compost azolla), P7 (5 tons ha-1 of azolla compost and 75 kg ha-1 phosphate rock), and P8 (5 tons ha-1 azolla compost and 150 kg ha-1 of phosphate rock) and P9 (5 tons ha-1 manure) and P10 (50 kg ha-1 of urea, 100 kg ha-1 SP36, and 75 kg ha-1 KCl) as comparison treatments. The planting was conducted in the 30x40 cm pots filled with 12 kg of finely soil passes 2mm filter. Each pot planted with 3 seeds peanuts, then reduced to one crop per pot at 14 days after planting. Data were analyzed by F test 95% confidence level, if there is a significant influence followed by DMRT at 95% confidence level. Variables for this experiment are phosphor avaibility, CEC, organic matter, total N in the soil, fresh biomass and dry biomass peanut,height of the plant, fresh weight of pods, dry weight of pods, number of pods, dry seed weight and number of seed. The results showed that the best dose treatment was P8 which gives the highest of availability phosphor (13,01 ppm) and peanut yield (1,96 tons ha-1)Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kombinasi terbaik pupuk kompos Azolla dan fosfat alam dalam meningkatkan ketersediaan P dan hasil kacang tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Mei 2012 hingga November 2012 di Pusat Penelitian Lahan Kering Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Kecamatan Jumantono, Kabupaten Karanganyar dan Laboratorium Kimia dan Kesuburan Tanah Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan merupakan kombinasi dari kompos Azolla dan pupuk fosfat alam yaitu P0 (tanpa pupuk), P1 (75 kg/ha fosfat alam), P2 (150 kg/ha fosfat alam), P3 (2,5 ton/ha kompos azolla), P4 (2,5 ton/ha kompos azolla dan 75 kg/ha fosfat alam), P5 (2,5 ton/ha kompos azolla dan 150 kg/ha), P6 (5 ton/ha kompos azolla), P7 (5 ton/ha kompos azolla dan 75 kg/ha fosfat alam), dan P8 (5 ton/ha kompos azolla dan 150 kg/ha fosfat alam) sebagai pembanding adalah P9 (5 ton/ha pupuk kandang) dan P10 (50 kg/ha Urea, 100 kg/ha Sp36, dan 75 kg/ha KCl). Penanaman dilakukan pada pot dengan ukuran 30x40 cm yang diisi 12 kg tanah halus lolos 2mm filter. Setiap pot ditanami 3 benih kacang tanah, kemudian dikurangi menjadi 1 tanaman per pot pada 14 hari setelah tanam. Analisis data menggunakan sidik ragam pada aras kepercayaan 95%, apabila ada pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada aras kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dosis rekomendasi terbaik adalah perlakuan P8 yang memberikan pengaruh paling baik terhadap ketersediaan fosfor tanah Alfisol (13,01 ppm) dan hasil kacang tanah paling tinggi (1,96 ton/ha)
PENGARUH BAHAN ORGANIK TERHADAP POPULASI Aspergilhis flavus PADA BEBERAPA JENIS TANAH
The objective of the research was to study the effect of soil type and organic matters applied on the growth of innoculated Aspergilus flavus. Considering the caracleristics of soil and organic matter source types, the organic carbon content total nitrogen content. C/N ratio and pH of the soil were analized.
The research design used was completely randomized block design with two factors, namely soil type (regosol, grucmosol and latosol) and organik matters applied (control; manure and straw). Treatment replication was considered as variation source of block.
It was indicated that there was signcant effect (P < 0,05) of soil type on the growth of the fungsi. Latosol tended to give higher growth than regosol and grumosol. Though no significant effect of organics matters indicated, the fungsi showed better growth with application of straw. It seemed the result had nothing to do with the carbon and nitrogen content of the soil. They might be caused by other factors that should be studied furthe
POTENSI ISOLAT MIKROBIA ASAL ANDISOL DIENG, JAWA TENGAH SEBAGAI INOKULUM PUPUK HAYATI PENGOKSIDASI SULFUR
Title : Study on The Potency of Soil Microbes Isolated from Andisols of Dieng, Central Java, as S-Oxidizing Biofertilizer Inoculant. The problem of nutrient deficiences tend to increase, including sulfur deficiency. The use of high purity NPK fertilizers stimulate sulfur deficiency in agricultural land. This problem can be corrected by the use of elemental sulfur accompanied with S-oxidizing biofertilizer. The study aimed to evaluate the potential of sulfur oxidizing microbial isolated from Andisols of Dieng Central Java as S-oxidizing inoculant. Andisols Dieng naturally contains high sulfur that allegedly inhabited many sulfur-oxidizing microbials. The research consisted of two experiments, each arranged in completely randomized design (CRD). Each experiment consist of two factors namely the kind of microbial isolated from Andisols Dieng and incubation time. The first experiment used Czapek-dox+elemental sulfur medium, while the second experiment used vermicompost as medium. The observed variables include soluble-S, bacterial density, biomass of fungi and medium pH. One isolate of bacteria (I1)and three isolates of fungi (F1, F2 and F3) taken from Andisol of Dieng showing their ability to oxidize sulfur in Czapek-dok agar medium. They were used as isolates in the experiment. The result of the first experiment showed that the oxidized sulfur increased with the length of incubation time as indicated by the increase of soluble-S, bacterial cell density or fungi biomass in the medium followed by the decrease of pH. The second experiment showed that the population of bacteria or fungi isolates and soluble-S of vermicompost were increased collaterally with incubation time. The fungi isolate of F2 have the highest potency as inoculant of S-oxidizing biofertilizer as shown by it ability to survive, grows and oxidize S both in Czapek-dox+elemental sulfur liquid medium as well as in vermicompost medium.Masalah kekahatan hara cenderung meningkat, termasuk kekahatan sulfur. Penggunaan pupuk NPK berkemurnian tinggi ikut mendorong terjadinya kekahatan hara di lahan pertanian. Masalah kekahatan hara ini dapat diatasi melalui penggunaan sulfur elementer yang disertai denngan pupuk hayati pengoksidasi sulfur. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi mikrobia pengoksidasi sulfur yang diisolasi dari tanah Andisol Dieng, Jawa Tengah sebagai inokulan untuk pupuk hayati. Tanah Andisol Dieng secara alamiah mengandung sulfur yang cukup tinggi sehingga diperkirakan dihuni oleh banyak mikrobia pengoksidasi sulfur. Penelitian terdiri dari dua percobaan, masing-masing disusun dalam rancangan percobaan acak lengkap dua faktor, yaitu macam isolat mikrobia hasil isolasi dari Andisol Dieng dan lama inkubasi. Percobaan pertama menggunakan medium cair Czapek-dox + sulfur sedangkan percobaan kedua menggunakan medium vermikompos. Tiap-tiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Variabel yang diamati meliputi jumlah S terlarut, kerapatan sel bakteri atau biomassa jamur dan pH medium. Dari hasil eksplorasi diperoleh satu isolat bakteri I1 dan tiga isolat jamur F1, F2 dan F3 yang menunjukkan kemampuan mengoksidasi sulfur pada medium Czapek-dox+ sulfur elementer agar. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa proses oksidasi sulfur meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya waktu inkubasi yang ditunjukkan oleh meningkatnya jumlah S-terlarut, kerapatan sel bakteri atau biomassa jamur dan menurunnya pH medium. Hasil serupa diperoleh dari percobaan kedua. Isolat jamur F2 menunjukkan potensi yang paling tinggi sebagai inokulan pengoksidasi sulfur yang ditunjukkan oleh kemampuannya tumbuh dan mengoksidasi sulfur yang paling tinggi baik pada medium cair Czapek-dox + sulfur maupun pada medium vermikompos

KAJIAN MACAM PUPUK ORGANIK DAN DOSIS PUPUK P TERHADAP HASIL KACANG TANAH (Arachis hypogaea L.) Dl TANAH ENTISOL
The aim of the study was to know the affect of organic fertilizer kind and dosage of P fertilizer to yield of peanut(Arachis hypogxa L) on entisol. The research was carried out at Colomadu, Karanganyar from September 1999 to January 2000. The field research design was factorial arranged in Completely Randomized Block Design, consist of two factors : organic Fertilizer and Dosage ofP fertiilizer. The first factor was kind of organic fertilizer: bokhasi (O1), animal manure (O,) and fine compost (O3). The second factor was dosage of P fertilizer consist of four doses: without P fertilizer (P0), 50 kg SP-36 /ha (P1), 100 kg SP-36 /ha (P2) and 150 kg SP-36 /ha (P3). The study indicated that the kind of organic fertilizer non significant to soil pH, available Pemegang, height of plant, total of fill pod, total of empty pod, weight of fresh pod of plant and weight of 100 seeds and significant to fresh weight of plant, weight of fresh pod of plot, weight of dry pods of plot and weight of seed of plant. Bokhasi indicated better affect than animal manure and fine compost. P fertilizer incraesed weight fresh pod of plot and weight of dry of plot
STUDI BEBERAPA SIFAT FISIKA DAN KIMIA TANAH PADA BERBAGAI KOMPOSISI TEGAKAN TANAMAN DI SUB DAS SOLO HULU
Title : The Study of Soil Physics and Chemical Character on Various Straightened Composition of Crop on Sub DAS Solo Hulu. This research was conducted in Sub DAS Solo Hulu area from October 2006 – February 2007. The aim of this research was to study the effect of various straightened composition of crop to soil physics and chemical properties. The change will be seen when the available vegetation was more dominant than vegetation on the same area. This research used variable approach by survey in spacious and is supported by analysis in laboratory. T‐test and Correlation test was used in this research. The result of this research showed that according to vegetation survey, there was get six straightened composition of crop. The most of straightened composition of crop was predominated by Jati (Tectona grandis L.). Straightened composition of crop which predominated by Jati (Tectona grandis L.) giving effect of very real to some soil physics (soil pore, soil aggregate, field capacity) and chemical properties (pH H2O, pH KCl, organic matter, cation exchangeable capacity, total N, available P, available K and basalt spacing) at this same of soil type (Entisols and Alfisols).
