    Zeolite and Organic Fertilizer Application to The Improvement of Available P and Soybean (Glycine max L) Seed Yield in Alfisols

    The problem of low soybean yield on Alfisol is low soil fertility. The availability of P is often a constraint because the P element on the Alfisol soil is strongly bound by Al and Fe elements. Efforts to increase the availability of P element in Alfisols can be done by ameliorant of zeolite and organic fertilizer. This study objective was determined of zeolite and organic fertilizer in increasing of available P and soybean yield on Alfisols. A field experiment was conducted using Randomized Block Design consisting of two factors: a dose of zeolite (0 ton ha-1, 2.5 tons ha-1, and 5 ton ha-1), and organic fertilizer (no organic fertilizer, quail, and cow manure 5 ton ha-1 respectively). The results showed that zeolite 5 ton ha-1 is the highest effect on the increasing of available P, pH, organic matter, and saturation base as big as 5.19, 5.21, 24.03, and 21.55 respectively, while cow manure is improved to organic matter and saturation base 26.17, and 21.38% respectively.The combination of zeolite and cow manure 5 ton ha-1 gave the highest yield on the number of pods (101 pods plants-1), and the 1000 seeds weight is 153 g

    Changes in Soil Chemical Properties of Organic Paddy Field with Azolla Application

    The use of high organic fertilizer in the organic farming system is one of the obstacles in the implementation of organic farming in Indonesia. It is necessary to find alternative materials to substitute or meet the shortage of existing organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of Azolla (Azolla mycrophylla. L) on some soil chemical properties on organic paddy field. The The field experiments used factorial complete randomized block design of three factors, namely Azolla (0 and 2  tons / ha), Manure (0 and 10  tons / ha) and Rice Varieties ( Mira1, Mentik Wangi and Merah Putih), with three times replication.  Azolla  2  tons / ha is able to increase soil total  N 18%; available P  87,5 %; organic C  3,78% CEC 8,03 % and soil pH 1,00%;  compared to control (without Azolla). Compared with manure 10  tonss / ha, giving Azolla 2  tonss / ha was able to increase only on soil available P about 50 %, but lower on  soil total N, organic C, CEC and  soil pH  1,9% ; 9,27% ; 9,40% and 0,67%.  Azolla can be used as a substitute or complement  of manure on organic  paddy field

    ANALYSIS OF WATER BALANCE TO DETERMINE WATER REQUIREMENT OF PINEAPPLE (Ananas comusus L. MERR.) IN PINEAPPLE PLANTATION LAMPUNG, INDONESIA

    Irrigation on pineapple plants is very important because it affects the growth and production, but the irrigation cost is very expensive. But before planning irrigation needs to estimate water requirement of the plant. This study is to estimate water requirement of pine plant using simple water balance based on 30-year climatologic data. The results show, 30-year data of climatology data can be used to estimating water requirement of the pineapple plant. Water requirement for small plant, medium plant and big plant are 164.6mm, 31.2mm, and 12.5mm respectively for June-October. The peak of the deficit on water balance occur in August, which is pineapple plant need intensive irrigation.

(2009) said that climate change, urbanization, rural development, agriculture and food security are intertwined determinants of population health and health equity.  Since the existence of human civilization both of these have been proven to have a very close relationship and mutual influence.  History of the cholera outbreak in mid 19th century discovered in London by John Snow is one proof that environment affects the health of mankind.  Likewise, human behavior is also crucial circumstances surrounding environment, both locally and globally.People experiences the genesis interaction between nature and human beings that are not favorable either direct or indirect more often today. Direct incidence of natural disasters eg floods, landslides is a few of the many events that are not desired by anyone.  Genesis indirectly eg changes in the nature of disease vectors because of changes in the physical environment that complicate its eradication.This paper will critically discuss the relationship between the environment and human health from the beginning of human civilization until now hoped to remind us all to always pay attention to the environment when people will make innovations to meet their needs

    THE EFFECT OF FORMULATION HUMIC SUBSTANCE AND Trichoderma sp TO INCREASE PRODUCTION AND GROWTH OF CORN (Zea Mays L.)

    Research to determine of formulation humic substance and Trichoderma sp to increase the production and growth of corn (Zea mays, L). This research was conducted by extracting humic substance with fractionation organic matter method from cattle manure organic material. Trichoderma sp grow on corn medium and harvested after reaching a density of 1015 cfu. Created this compound formulation with mixing humic substance and Trichoderma sp. Indicator plant with F1 sweet corn Jago varieties. Application used humic substance in range 8%, 16%, and 32% on the recommended use NPK fertilizer for corn, as well as control without humic substance. The result showed application use  8% humic substance most good for plant growth and harvest. Additionally, nutrient uptake NPK fertilizer efficiency is increased and more effective than control and use of the formulation 16% and 32% humic substance

    Alfisols is a soil that lack of organic matter (OM). thus making the physical properties of the soil is easily damaged, because OM is used as an adhesive on soil physical properties. This study aimed to examine the physical properties of  Alfisols in agroforestry based of teak and its effect on the development of soybean. This research used a Randomized Block Complete Design (RBDC) which consists of three factors (soybean varieties,  teak litter dose and NPK chemical fertilizers. The results showed that Alfisols in agroforestry based on teak relative good with the stability of the aggregate value of the 225,101 (Very Steady). Varieties and increasing teak litter doses affect soybean root development while NPK fertilizer did not make an impact. Argo Mulyo varieties have better root development in comparison with Grobogan, and litter dose of 2,5 Mg ha-1 has the best root development in each variety

    The climate change issues also associate with the increase of coal-mining exploitation, as well as the disaster caused by it.  The data was very interesting due to the long interval between the years of 1851 to 1962. The number of deaths was from 10 to 361. The data, in fact, had been already analyzed by other researcher applying statistical methods. In this research, we try to apply data mining techniques of association rules to find the highest support and confidence in the data. Afterward, we will fit the determined association rules to the available data of Coal-mining Disasters from 1963 to 2015. The objective of the research was to find the association rules. The method was patterned frequency and a priori algorithm. The benefit of the research was to anticipate the disasters based on the association rules found

    THE FACTORS THAT AFFECT RISK OF DECLINE IN RICE PRODUCTIVITY AT IRRIGATED RICE FIELDS DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE

    Farmers as farm manager, have experienced the impact of climate change. The most powerful impact is the decline in rice production due to unpredictable weather. The decline in rice production is the most powerful impact experienced by farmers. Thus, a research related to the factors that affect the risk of reduction of rice productivity due to climate change is conducted. This research was conducted at the watershed of Cemoro river in Central Java, with 120 farmers owning irrigated rice fields as samples.The research shows that the farmers who adapt to the climate change, are able to have landed with higher productivity, compared to those who do not adapt. They have the higher percentage of risk of crop failure, than the adaptive farmers. Factors that affecting the reduction of land productivity, according to the multiple linear regression analysis, are education level, farming experience, an agricultural extension activity, the extent of land, ownership of livestock and farmer’s perception of climate change.
