The Characteristics of Material DSSC (Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell) Solar Cell from Extraction of Teak Leaves
The research of solar cell with using dye from natural materials as a sensitizer in a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) continues to grow. One advantage of the DSSC is does not require a material with high purity so that the production cost is relatively low. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of the absorption band of teak leaf extract. Extraction of teak leaves dissolved in a mixture of ethanol and acetic acid with a variation ratio of 1: 0, 1: 1 and 5.66: 1, resulting in a solution of each color reddish yellow, reddish brown and dark red. Absropsi test results with UV-Vis spectrometer showed that there are peaks in the absorbance in the visible region, ie at wavelengths between 500 nm to 560 nm. This shows that the dye material of teak leaf extract may work or absorb the green color. While absobption other peaks are also found in pektrum wavelength of 580 nm, 600 nm and 660 nm, each of which can absorb the green color yellow, orange and red. ©2016 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. The Effect of Gel-Electrolyte on Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) Prototype based on Nanosized-TiO2 Using Mangosteen Pericarp as Absorber
Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) with Fluorine deped Tin Oxide (FTO) substrat and nanosize-TiO2 layer sensitized by “dye” ,mangosteen pericarp extract, was succesfully fabricated. Gel-Electrolyte as electron regenerator was synthesized by adding Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) 1000 to electrolyte solution while nanosize-TiO2 was synthesized by co-precipitation method from TiCl3 solution. The crystal size of TiO2 characterized by X-Ray Diffraction is 10.5 nm in size. The solar absorbance of “dye” mangosteen pericarp was measured using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer and it showed that the dye can absorb photon at Near Ultraviolet (NUV) to yellow visible light. Nanosize-TiO2 based DSSC with gel-electrolyte successfully reached short circuit current up to 30.9 μA, open circuit voltage 398.3 mV and performed the long term stability. ©2017 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Phytochemical content in seawed of S. duplicatum J. Agardh are flavonoid dan steroid. Phytochemical content and phenolic total have positive correlation to antioxidant activity. Antioxidant activity with DPPH method yielded IC50 = 143.03 μg/mL (R1) and 357.95 μg/mL (R2). Antibacterial activity assay carried out trough diffusion method with SSA media (Salmonella-Shigella Agar). Inhibition value toward Salmonella is 1.120 mm and 1.15 mm with control is chloramphenicol. Salmonella sp.is pathogenic bacteria that presents in egg and causes decay on the egg. Discussion about antibacteria activity results of seawed extract of S. duplicatum J. Agardh are suggested to apply toward egg preservation method. ©2016 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserve
Synthesis and Structure Characterization of SiO2 from Petung Bamboo Leaf Ash (Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.f.) Backer ex Heyne)
The Research about Synthesis and Characterization of SiO2 have been worked. We have synthesized Silica from “petung”bamboo leaf ash as SiO2 source. This step used sol gel methode. SiO2 were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) to investigated the stucture andX-Ray Diffaction to know about structure and crystallinity. FTIR spectra show peak at 617,22 cm-1 area that spesific for Si-H bond, peak at 786,96 cm-1and 1095,57 cm-1 area specific for Si-O-Si bonds. Difractogram of SiO2 show that there are peak at 2θ 21,99; 31,67 and 38,88 were specific for SiO2 that calcinated at 800oC, while for SiO2 that calcinated at 400oC there were no peak at 2θ 31,67 dan 38,88. That peaks not shown may be because low crystallinity of SiO2 that calcinated at 400oC. Calcination temperature greatly affects the crystallinity of SiO2.©2017 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Preparation and Microstructure of Ag Doped on ZnO
Various concentration of silver (Ag) dopant on ZnO (ZnO:Ag) 2-8 mol% with solgel method were deposited on glass substrates that has been heated to a temperature of 250°C for 1h using a thermal spray coating technique and then annealed on 400C for 1h. The obtained samples were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The effect of various Ag dopant on ZnO on the microstructure are investigated. The results showed that the microstructure of ZnO:Ag are the surface of ZnO make ganglia phase with Ag grains covered the surface. The addition concentration of Ag promotes the growth of ganglia phase and grain size. The surface of ZnO:Ag ≤4 mol% the growth grain Ag is more dominant than the growth of ZnO. The dopant Ag with a concentration of 4-8mol% ganglia structure begin to form with the presence of grains. Obtained the surface of ZnO:Ag 4 mol% begins to growth ganglia phase with the largest graindiameter is 304.8 nm. ©2016 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved
The Application of Music Therapy For Children with Autism Based On Facial Recognition Using Eigenface Method
This research is motivated by the condition of children with autism who require continuous monitoring without a parent accompany, and certain therapies who is capable to reduce repetitive behaviors and increase the concentration. Music therapy is one of the treatment which able to perform it. The implementation of this research is located in a special schools with autism, the perform is proper at certain times and requires tools for music therapy. Therefore, the integrated device was made to monitor the activities of children with autism, as well as providing music therapy automatic face recognition based on Eigenface method. This device perform when the children with autism under certain conditions (e.g. crying, the teacher would not work orders, etc.), then by capturing the the facial image, the system will process to compare the similarity with the existing database. Then, the shortest distance of euclidean is chosen. If the captured of facial image is similar to the one existing database, then the music is performed as music therapy for children with autism. The results of this system, indicates that the child's responses become more calm, easy concentration, and the repetitive attitude is reduced. While the accuracy of the system achieves by 80% (compare with the old and new database) and 20%. (without new database). ©2017 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved
In Vitro Inhibition Capacity in Ca Oxalate Formation by Lemon (Citrus Lemon) Juice
This research aims to determine the inhibition capacity of lemon juice (Citrus lemon) in the formation of calcium oxalate in a variety of concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, 10% which is then compared to pure citric acid. Lemon juice contains citric acid that can inhibit calcium oxalate’s formation. Inhibitory activity found in lemon juice is examined by observing its inhibition capacity towards the formation of calcium oxalate crystal. At the end of the treatment process the turbidity level is compared to citric acid acting as an inhibitor in the formation of calcium oxalate and then the percentage of the inhibition capacity is calculated. Result of the study shows that the optimum concentration of the lemon juice (Citrus lemon) and citric acid is 10%. The inhibition capacities in calcium oxalate formation by lemon juice with concentration variations of 5%, 7.5%, 10% are 47.06%, 73.68%, 94.19% and by citric acid with concentration variations of 5%, 7.5 %, 10% are 29.90%, 30.85%, 42.30%. It can be concluded that the higher the concentration of lemon juice and citric acid used the higher the inhibition capacity of calcium oxalate. Based on the inhibition capacity percentage, lemon juice is more effective in inhibiting the formation of calcium oxalate compared to citric acid and it can function as an alternative to prevent the formation of kidney stone. © 2015 JNSMR UIN Walisongo.
