Translating HOL to Dedukti
International audienceDedukti is a logical framework based on the λΠ-calculus modulo rewriting, which extends the λΠ-calculus with rewrite rules. In this paper, we show how to translate the proofs of a family of HOL proof assistants to Dedukti. The translation preserves binding, typing, and reduction. We implemented this translation in an automated tool and used it to successfully translate the OpenTheory standard library
Remarks on the internal exponential stabilization to a nonstationary solution for 1D Burgers equations
International audienceThe feedback stabilization of the Burgers system to a nonstationary solution using finite-dimensional internal controls is considered. Estimates for the dimension of the controller are derived. In the particular case of no constraint on the support of the controla better estimate is derived and the possibility of getting an analogous estimate for the general case is discussed; some numerical examplesare presented illustrating the stabilizing effect of the feedback control, and suggesting that the existence of an estimatein the general case analogous to that in the particular one is plausible
RODIN project, Topology Optimization 2.0?
International audienceRODIN project is an attempt to propose a new kind of topology optimization tools. It has been motivated by the combination of two events: (1) the industrials demands for getting past serious limits identified in the available tools, (2) the advent of a new mathematical approach in the mid 2000's presenting very interesting properties. This project has been launched in July 2012 and is supported by French public funding. It is a collaborative project that gathers ten partners (ranging from academics to software editors and industrials end-users) and firmly aims at overcoming technical and scientific locks in the area of topology optimization. RODIN is therefore an ambitious and risky project that will possibly mark the birth of a new numerical tool
New aspects of electronic excitations at the bismuth surface: Topology, thermalization and coupling to coherent phonons
International audienceWe review measurements of angle and time resolved photoelectron spectroscopy on the surface states of the Bi(1 1 1) surface. The work covers several aspects of these surface states, discussing the topological properties, the strong anisotropy of the spin–orbit splitting and the dynamical relaxation of photoexcited electrons. Since time resolved experiments disentagle interaction processes in real time, the reported data offer a novel perspective on the motion of charge carriers in surface states and will serve as an unuseful reference for other systems with strong spin–orbit coupling

Behavior-based price discrimination and customer information sharing
This article investigates the incentives and the effects of information sharing among rivalfirms about the identities of their past customers in a two-period model with behaviorbasedprice discrimination (BBPD). An unilateral information exchange between the twoperiods takes place in a subgame-perfect equilibrium. This exchange increases the abilityof the industry to price discriminate consumers according to their profiles and boosts theprofitability of BBPD at the expense of consumers
