    PENGARUH STRATEGI PELATIHAN DAN PENGETAHUAN KONSEP DASAR EKOLOGI TERHADAP SIKAP TENAGA KERJA YANG BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN: (Eksperimen pada Tenaga Kerja Indonesia di Balai Latihan Kerja Daerah Jakarta Barat (2006))

    This study aimed at investigating the effect of training strategies and knowledge of basic concepts of ecology on environmental-based attitude of prospective labors. The experimental study with 2x2 factorial designs was conducted at the Regional Labor Training Centre of West Jakarta with training participants of the center involved as subjects of the study. The study has been focused on four Research Questions: (1) Is there any significant difference in the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors who were trained with fieldtrip strategy and those who were trained with group discussion strategy?; (2) Is there any significant difference in the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors with high level of knowledge of basic concepts of ecology who were trained with fieldtrip strategy and those who were trained with group discussion strategy?; (3) Is there any in the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors with low level of knowledge of basic concepts of ecology who were trained with fieldtrip strategy and those who were trained with group discussion strategy?; and (4) Is there any interactions between the effect of training strategies and knowledge of basic concepts of ecology on the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors?Findings of the study signify that (1) there is no significant difference in the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors who were trained with fieldtrip strategy and those who were trained with group discussion strategy; (2) prospective labors with high level of knowledge of basic concepts of ecology who were trained with fieldtrip strategy show better environmental-based attitude compared to those who were trained with group discussion strategy; (3) prospective labors with low level of knowledge of basic concepts of ecology who were trained with group discussion strategy show better environmental-based attitude compared to those who were trained with fieldtrip strategy; and (4) there is an interaction between training strategies and knowledge of basic concepts of ecology on the environmental-based attitude of prospective labors.To sum up, to promote better environmental-based attitude of prospective labors requires appropriate training strategies that is determined by carefully considering their knowledge level on basic concepts of ecology

    This study aims to determine the effect of counseling strategies and levels of socio economic status of knowledge about the conservation of coastal fishermen. The method used in this study is an experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. The study population was fishing in the District of West Telukbetung, Bandar Lampung numbered 32 people. Data analysis technique used is the Two-Way Analysis of Variance followed by Tukkey test. The findings of this study include: 1) Knowledge of the conservation of coastal areas that follow the strategy of grouping extension is higher than that following the classical extension strategy.; 2) For the fisherman with high level of social economic status with knowledge about coastal conservation among groups of fishermen who follow counseling strategies and follow the strategy of grouping classical education. Where the higher is the group of fishermen that high social economic status following the strategy of grouping extension; 3) For the fisherman with a low level of socio-economic status with knowledge about coastal conservation among groups of fishermen who follow the strategy of grouping extension and follow the classical extension strategy. Where the higher is the group of fishermen that low social economic status following the strategy of classical education, and 4) There is interaction effect between education strategy and the level of socio economic status of knowledge on coastal conservation. Based on these findings we can conclude that there is no extension strategies are most effective, depending on background characteristic fishermen and their socio economic status. Therefore, if the selected grouping strategy is appropriate only to fishermen who have a high socioeconomic status, education classical conversely, if the strategy is dominated by the lecture method is chosen, then it is just right for the fishermen who have low socioe conomic status

    The objective of the research is to develop an environmental inquiry education material package to increase theenvironmental behavior of the Elementary students. The research was designed by using research anddevelopment (R & D) method. The stages of the research are: (1) to initate the material package, (2) to validatethe materials by using randomized control-group posttest method for every try-out, and (3) to recommend thematerials. In this study, instruments collected important informations such as: (1) need assessment from theteachers, parents and students from Elementary school, (2) environmental behavior possessed by the students.Research findings show that there is a bigger environmental behavior score obtained by inquiry instructionalmaterials treated group compared to conventional method control group. Based on findings, it could beconcluded that the inquiry material package is effective in enhancing the environmental behavior of the students.Therefore, this material package could be recommended for wider application

    The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in subjects Self Development skills in a special program of vocational skills such as making skills of the rest of the patchwork mat and look for alternative learning model development Self Development skills required of teachers in accordance with the child's ability mentally retarded that still form an outline of the learning program.The research was conducted in SLB C East Jakarta. The subjects of research that high school teachers and students  mentally retarded LB C. Outcome or product part of this research is the study of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in subjects Self Development skills in a special program of vocational skills makedoormats from the rest of the patchwork.The results of this study are expected to contribute to the implementation of innovative teaching model for teachers SLB C through the development of teaching materials ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in practice the skillsself help Mentally Retarded Children in order to achieve self-reliance to improve the quality of life of chldren with  intellectual challenges

Data is analyzed through some stages, such as domain analysis, taxonomy, component and theme.The finding of the research shows that nagari environment supports women, women being are still a domestic sphere in Salimpaung nagari, gender education process to woman is learned to encourage domestic roles, and trend to forward potential woman to domestic’s area, and Bundokandung is understanded as self woman and women organization, than woman organization is concentrated its functions. Its impact is to be balance among men’s roles and women’s roles in Salimpaung nagari.Based on those findings, it could be concluded that woman involvement which occurred might be effected by gender education process which received.Therefore, in increasing woman involvement in nagari environment into implementing gender education process by equity and eguality mentioned their quality of role

    The study investigated the effect of social economic status, individual modernity, life style towards farmer’s participation in continuation of cultural value. Data on strategy use is gathered through a questionnaire (n=250) and analyzed by using Path Analysis. Results show that there status and farmer’s participation. There is direct effect between individual modernity and farmer’s participation. There is not indirect effect between social economic status through life style and farmer’s participation. There is indirect effect between individual modernity and life style towards participation in continuants of culture value. Economic status, individual modernity and life style are determined factors of cultural value of community

    The objective of this research is to find out the effects of training media and the level of education on the skill to build the household sanitation based on environmental concern by the fisherman community in Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. The method used was a kind of experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. The results of this research showed that; (1) the use of training media of model is better than the graphical media (drawing media), (2) there is an interaction found between the use of training media and education level of the fisherman in sanitation building, (3) the high level of education of fisherman in the skill of sanitation, gave a better result of the sanitation building, and (4) the modeling media gave better sanitation skill than the graphical media. It seems that the modeling media of training is better than the graphical media for the fisherman in the sanitation building

    The objective of the research was aimed at finding out whether there is effect of the environmental education learning package and cognitive style on environmental problem solving skills. This research conducted was exsperiment methode. The target of population is the students at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the State University of Jakarta. Then accessible of population is Department of Chemistry and take it by randomly (n=40).The research came five conclusions are follow: the first, as a whole the ability of students problem-solving learning environment in an integrated package of environmental education is high than the monolithic environmental education learning package; the second, the ability of students problem-solving learning environment in field independent style cognitive is not high than the field dependent style cognitive; the third, interaction effect between learning and cognitive styles environmental education package; the fourth, the ability of students to solve environmental problems based on cognitive style of field dependent on an integrated learning package environmental education lower than on learning environmental education monolithic package, and the five, there is the ability of students to solve environmental problems based on field independent cognitive styles in an integrated learning package environmental education is high than on learning environmental education monolithic package

    The United Nations are formally commited to gender mainstreaming within all policy areas and programs. In 1992 the United Nation Conference on Environment and Development produced Agenda 21, which recognized women as one of the nine major groups whose active participation is essential to sustainable development. It was agreed that the advancement of women is indeed a pre requisite for making sustainable development a reality. The World Conference on Women in 1995 adopted the Beijing Platform for Action, in which governments agreed to implement gender mainstreaming. Other United Nation conference have also acknowledged the importance of adopting a gender specific approach to implementing policies; gender equality has been identified as one of Millennium Development Goals and designated as a crosscutting theme for work of the commission on sustainable organizations, national government, and most civil society groups still fail to integrate gender perspectives adequately into their policies and their actions

    The objective of the research is to find out the relationship between knowledge of sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation. The sampel of this research were 73 persons which randomly taken. The data were analyzed by using regression and correlation techicques. Findings of the research concluded: 1) there is positive correlation between knowledge of the sustainable development with development program partisipants responsibility of environment preservation, 2) there is positive correlation between emphaty with development program partisipants responsibility of environment preservation, 3) there is positive correlation between commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation, and furthermore 4) there are correlation between knowledge of the sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation. Based on this development program partisipants result of responsibility of environmental preservation enhanced by increasing knowledge of the sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment
