Developing a New Award DOI Service - US Department of Energy
No full textThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) provides DOE awarding organizations the ability to assign DOIs to awards. The journey to provide this service began in 2017, when we started to hear from DOE communities about how helpful it would be to have persistent identifiers assigned to awards. As early participants in Crossref’s Funder Advisory Group, we were involved in the development of their Grant ID service, allowing Crossref members to assign DOIs to various types of awards using a metadata schema specifically tailored to describe awards. Leveraging this experience and following the launch of the Crossref service, the DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) developed a new Award DOI Service. I’ll share the process of developing the DOE Award DOI Service, its 2020 minimum viable product launch, and the continued development efforts working to scale up the service

Full text link49. setkání ředitelů národních středisek ISSN mělo standardní průběh spočívající v prezentaci zprávy o činnosti IC ISSN a dalších vybraných národních center. Další část jednání byla věnována aktualizacím manuálu ISSN. Na program byly zařazeny také dva workshopy k seznámení s funkcionalitami nástroje ISSN+. Poslední den setkání se hlasovalo o rezolucích, odpoledne pořadatelé zorganizovali návštěvu Národního muzea Bardo

Increasing Institutional Impact Intelligence with PID Graph Enabled Repositories
No full textThe Open Science Framework (OSF) is a unique infrastructure that emphasizes tools and workflows that support scholars across the entire lifecycle of a project, from documenting research planning to discoverability and indexing. The OSF leverages the “PID graph”, allowing Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and ORCID iDs (Open Researcher and Contributor Identifiers) to be related to research registrations, preprints, collaborative project workspaces, and users. Relationships between objects are also enabled so researchers can relate the DOIs for data or completed publications with their preprints or registrations. OSF is also integrating Research Organization Registry identifiers (ROR IDs) for all faculty, staff, and students of OSF institutional members. This provides universities and labs the opportunity to examine and signal their open, indexed research outputs from OSF and other systems that will be integrating ROR IDs
