Status Kualitas Air dan Kesuburan Perairan Waduk PLTA Koto Panjang, Provinsi Riau
PLTA Koto Panjang Reservoir is one of the reservoirs in Riau Province which has a primary function as a Hydropower source and also used for fisheries and tourism activities. Increased activity around the existing reservoir affecting water quality conditions that would interfere with function.This research was conducted in April-May 2015 with three observations on 5 stations with the aimed this research to analyzing, determining the status of water quality, and fertility status of waters in PLTA Koto Panjang Reservoir. Determination of reservoir water quality status based on parameters of physical, chemical, and biological methods STORET with water quality standard Class II and III for comparison. Fertility status was determined by Trophic Level Index (TLI) based on the brightness, chlorophyll-a, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus waters. The results showed that the status of Koto Panjang Reservoir water quality can be categorized as being contaminated with the quality standard Class III and heavily polluted the quality standard Class II. The parameters have exceeded the water quality standard Class II and III are ammonia, nitrite, and BOD5. The fertility status of the dam water is the eutrophic category with TLI values ranges from 4.6-5.2
Hubungan antara Neraca Air Lahan dan Produksi Karet Klon PB260
In general, rubber production was influenced by fluctuation of monthly rainfall rate. This research was aimed to determine the effect of rainfall, evapotranspiration, and soil water content on the production of PB260 rubber clone. This research was conducted at Sembawa Research Centre Experimental Field, South Sumatera from the year 2013-2016. The observed rubber tree was mature PB260 clone planted on clay loam soil. Rubber productions on the dry and rainy season on 2013-2016 were compared to determine the effect of rainfall on rubber production. The results showed that soil water content has the closest relationship to rubber production compared to rainfall and evapotranspiration parameter. Latex yield was decreasing as the decrease of soil water content at dry season. Limited water during the dry season became a constraint of optimum rubber yield. When soil water content drops below 100 mm, the maximum attained latex yield was 18 g/t/t
Perlakuan Pematangan Buatan pada Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) Varietas IPB 9 untuk Perbaikan Sistem Distribusi
Papayas as a climacteric fruit are commontly harvested and distributed in an unripe state with various of maturities. Ripening is required before papaya ready for consumption. The objectives of this research were to analyze the response of artificial ripening treatment for papaya in order to perform the best marketing schedule. This study was started by harvesting, sorting, cleaning, hot water treatment, and transportation simulation similar to 90.44 km, storage in refrigerator at 15 °C, artificial ripening treatment and storage at room temperature. Physical quality parameters measured consisted of weight loss, color, firmness, and total soluble solid. Artifial ripening using ethephon will accelerate the maturation of papaya. Papaya with maturity level of 60% (yellow tinge) that stored at 15 °C for 7 days was found still not ready to be consumed as a table fruit, and it was still necessary to artificially ripening process. Artificial ripening using ethephon of 250 and 750 ppm did not significantly affect the fruit color, hardness, and total soluble solids. This papaya could be consumed after 2 days of ripening and reached the optimum conditions for consumption after 4 days, with a possibility of shelf life for 6 days at room temperature. The best artificial ripening treatment for papaya that had been stored 14 days at 15 °C was by using 250 ppm of ethephon. The use of 250 ppm ethephon would make the best visually and smoothly yellow color of papaya’s peel surface
Performa dan Profil Kuning Telur Itik yang Diberi Pakan dengan Suplemen Tepung Bawang Putih dan Limbah Udang
This study aimed to investigate the effect of adding garlic and shrimp waste in the ration on the duck performance and lipid profile of yolk. The animals used were 36 ducklings of 19-week old that were randomly placed in 12 battery cages. The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design with four treatments and three replicates. The treatments were R0 (control) = Commercial ration, R1 = Commercial ration + 2% garlic, R2 = Commercial ration + 2% shrimp waste, and R3 = K + 1% garlic + 1% shrimp waste. The results showed that the addition of garlic or shrimp waste resulted in a higher egg production (P<0.05) than that of control group, but the combination of garlic and shrimp waste had no significant effect on egg productuon. The addition of garlic, shrimp waste, or a combination of garlic and shrimp waste increased yolk color score significantly (P<0.05). Giving garlic or shrimp waste, and combination of garlic and shrimp waste significantly (P<0.05) lowered the cholesterol content of the eggs compared to controls. The addition of shrimp waste increased the unsaturated fatty acids content of duck eggs, and at the same time increased saturated fatty acid content
Distribusi Horizontal Klorofil-a Fitoplankton Sebagai Indikator Tingkat Kesuburan Perairan di Teluk Meulaboh Aceh Barat
The research on horizontal distribution clorophyll-a fitoplankton as indicator the tropic state in waters of Meulaboh Bay conducted on Mei-July 2014 in Meulaboh Bay. Sampling was done using the method of purposive sampling at 10 sites, which consist of river, mouth river, bay waters, and middle of bay to outer of bay. The purpose of this research is to analyse horizontal distribution of clorophyll-a fitoplankton as the tropic state indicator in the waters and to analyse relationship between clorphyll-a fitoplankton with nutrients availability N and P. The result showed that the horizontal distribution pattern of clorophyll-a fitoplankton dominated by the waters near to teresterial land, likes river, mouth river, and edge of bay, afterward its gradually slightly decrease in the middle of bay and lower in outer of bay. High or low of clorophyll-a was due to the influence of nutirent load N and P in the waters of Meulaboh Bay. Dampak Pertambangan Nikel Terhadap Daerah Penangkapan Ikan di Perairan Kabupaten Halmahera Timur
East Halmahera District is one of the mining central areas Nickel in North Moluccas. This mining had a great impact on water quality changes. The aims of this study were to determine the content of Suspended Particulate Matter in East Halmahera waters, determine the water quality level, and determine fishing ground degradation level. The results showed the suspended solids in East Halmahera waters were above NAB, which had been set by Ministry of Environment those were less than 25 mg/l. While the average of SPM content in East Halmahera waters were above 25 mg/l except Wasile. The content of nickel in waters were known under NAB, but it had approached the NAB value which it means nickel had impacted the waters. Water quality changes had given impact to the fish degradation in waters, which the fish were captured by lift netwere classified in ilegal size (IS), that Stolephorus spp 62%, Loligo spp 67%. The number of IS for anchovy and squid were caused by lift net operation which were located near the coastal area where this area has been pressed by mining activities. This condition did not happen on purse seine and gillnet which legal size (LS) of Decaptrus spp 96% and Rastrilliger spp 90%. It was caused by fishing gear which operated far from coastal area. Based on the analysis, can be concluded that the mines Ni has a considerable effect on the degradation of water quality and reduction in size of a decent fish caught mainly lift nets

Lithium tantalate silicate (LiTaSiO5) has successfully been made on Si (100) p-type and Si (111) n-type by chemical solution deposition (CSD) technique with temperatures variation of 600, 650, 700, 750, and 800 oC. Toleransi Klon Unggul Jarak Pagar Terhadap Cekaman Kelembapan Tanah
Jatropha superior clones which will be released as varieties suitable for dryland should have been tested for their level of tolerance to stress of water. The study aimed to determine the level of tolerance of physic nut superior clones. Greenhouse research was carried out in The Research Institute of Sweeteners and Fiber Crops, Malang, East Java in July-November 2015. The treatments were arranged in the split-plot design with three replications. The main plot consists of four levels of soil moisture (40, 60, 80, and 100% of field capacity) and the subplot consists of five clones (HS-49/NTT, PT-7/Lampung, HS-49 x SP-88, SP -88 x IP-1A, and PT-7 x SP-117) and one control clone (IP-3A). The results showed that PT-7 x SP-117 classified as a moderate clone, IP-3A was a very resistant clone and SP-88 x IP-1A, HS-49 x SP-88, PT-7/ Lampung, and HS-49/NTT were resistant clones to soil moisture stres

Teak wood (Tectona grandis L.f.) is an important part of building material in Muna, Southeast Sulawesi. This study aims to investigate the characteristics of teakwood Muna namely the degree of crystallinity and the anatomical structure of teakwood after heat treatment for 0.5-12 hours. The results of XRD analysis showed crystallinity diameter without treatment and after treatment of temperature at 90, 120, 150, dan 180 C decreased with increasing temperature namely 5.95; 5.97; 6.02; 6.2; and 7.04 nm. Pengaruh Jenis Kayu dan Jumlah Lapisan Terhadap Sifat Venir Lamina
This study aims to determine the effect of wood species and the number of layers of veneer against laminated veneer properties. Wood species consist of sengon, pine, and mixed pine sengon. Laminated veener made by a number of layers consist of 4, 6, and 8 layers. The difference of a number of layers was to identify quality of laminated veneer. The adhesive used is urea formaldehyde (UF) liquid. The results showed that the average moisture content of 10.76%, density of 0.54 g/cm3, delamination 5.8%, MOE 124.108 kg/cm2, and MOR 450.74 kg/cm2. The moisture content and delamination made all meet the Indonesian National Standard. Statistically, wood species were a significant effect on moisture content, density, MOE, and MOR, while various of layers were a significant effect on moisture content, density, delamination, MOE, and MOR.
