PENGARUH MUSIK INSTRUMENTAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research was aimed to know the influence of instrumental music at learning towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The design of this research was post test only control group design. The population was all students of grade 7th of SMP Negeri 12 Bandarlampung in the academic year of 2012–2013 that was distributted into eight classes. The samples consisted of two student groups. Group of students of VII.D class as experimental class and VII.H as control class. The samples were chosen by purposive random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by Mann-Whitney Test (U-test). The conclusion of this research was the implementation of instrumental music as accompanist of mathematics learning did not give influence towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan musik instrumental dalam pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Bandarlampung tahun ajaran 2012–2013 yang terdistribusi ke dalam delapan kelas. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok siswa. Kelompok siswa kelas VII.D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII.H sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data pemahaman kon-sep matematika siswa yang diambil melalui tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney (Uji U). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan musik instrumental sebagai pengiring pembelajaran matematika tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. The population of this study was all of grade eighth students of SMP Negeri 1 GedongTataan in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this study were students of VIIIE and VIIIF class who selected by purposive sampling. The study design was posttest control design. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that learning model of TPS affect towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran TPS terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TPS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of TPS type towards students mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was regular students of grade 9th of SMPN 1 Abung Selatan in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this research were students of IX-D and IX-F class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was post-test only control group design. Based on the result of this research, it was obtained that the students mathematical communication skills by cooperative learning model of TPS type was lower than conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type has no positive affect towards the students mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX reguler SMPN 1 Abung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX D dan IX F yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih rendah daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi-experimental research aimed to know whether the implementation of problem-based learning model could increase students' mathematical representations skill. This research population was all students of grade 7th of SMP Tamansiswa Telukbetung in academic year of 2013/2014 as many as 190 students that was distributed into five classes and this research samples were students of VII A and VII C class that were selected by purposive random sampling technique. The design of research was the pretest-posttest control group design. Based on hypothesis testing, the increasing of mathematical representations skill by the implementation of problem-based learning model was equal to the conventional learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of problem-based learning model couldn’t increase students' mathematical representations skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Tamansiswa Telukbetung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 190 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam lima kelas dan sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII A dan VII C yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Desain penelitian yaitu pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah sama dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah tidak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan representasi matematis, konvensional, pembelajaran berbasis masala

This research design was post-test only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade X of SMK YPT Pringsewu in academic year of 2013/2014 which was distributed into fifteen class, while this research samples were students of grade X of TKJ 3 as experimental class and grade X of TKR 1 as control class which were selected by purposive random sampling. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of guided-invention method was effective viewed from students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMK YPT Pringsewu tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam lima belas kelas, sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TKJ 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X TKR 1 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive random sampling. PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STUDENT TEAM HEROIC LEADERSHIP TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis study aimed to determine the improvement of students mathematical communication skills on the implementation of cooperative learning model of student team heroic leadership compared with conventional learning. The study design was pretest posttest control design. Based on the analysis of data, it was found that the mean and indicators achievement of mathematical communication skills in STHL model was higher than conventional learning. The conclusion of this study was mean of improvement of mathematical communication skills of students in STHL model was higher than students in conventional learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student team heroic leadership dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata dan pencapaian indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada model STHL lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STHL lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran konvensional, STHL
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was all students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Sribhawono in the academic year of 2012/2013 as many as 198 students who distributed into six classes. The samples were students of VIII 1 and VIII 3 class who selected by purposive random sampling. Based on the results of the data analysis, it found that the students' understanding of mathematical concepts who taught by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional learning. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning model of group investigation type effect students' understanding of mathematical concepts.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Sribhawono tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 198 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam enam kelas. METODE SOCRATES KONTEKSTUAL DITINJAU DARI PROSES BELAJAR DAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis qualitative descriptive research aimed to determine the learning process and critical thinking skills using the socratic method with contextual approach. The subjects were students of X 6 class of senior high school state 15 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2012/2013 totally of 39 students. The data were obtained by observation, interviews, documentation, and test of learning outcomes. The data analysis was done by data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the data analysis showed the learning process in the classroom was active and the average of value of the critical thinking skills of students was 66.28 which categorized in sufficient criteria. It could be concluded that the implementation of the socratic method with contextual approach was good enough viewed from the process and critical thinking skills of students.Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis menggunakan metode socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X 6 SMA Negeri 15 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 39 siswa. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa proses belajar di kelas berjalan aktif dan rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah 66,28 yang dikategorikan dalam kriteria cukup. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual berjalan cukup baik ditinjau dari proses dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, metode socrates kontekstual, proses belaja

The implementation of Think Pair Share includes three stages, that are Thinking, Pairing, and Sharing. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII in even semester at SMP Negeri 1 Sekampung Udik school year 2012/2013 that distributed into five classes. The samples were students of VIIIA and VIIIC class who taken by purposive sampling technique with posttest only control design. The research data was obtained by tests of mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share type influenced to students mathematical conceptual understanding of students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sekampung Udik school year 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pelaksanaan Think Pair Share meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu Thinking, Pairing, dan Sharing. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Sekampung Udik tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas.
