PENGARUH AKTIVITAS BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING DENGAN METODE SCAFFOLDING
The aims of this research were to know the effect activity learning to student learning outcomes used model Discovery Learning with Scaffolding method and outcomes at the material of light. This is research an experimental study with the research design Pre-Experimental. The population this research is student VIII class in State Junior High School 1 Kamal. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Sampling used VIII-I as many 36 students as experimental class. Technique of analyzing data use simple regression with program SPSS version 18.00. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that: there was an effect activity learning to student learning at sig was 0,030, because sig < 0.05 so H0 rejected with regression equation Y’ = 26,882+ 0,660X.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan metode Scaffolding pada materi cahaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kamal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 18. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VIII-I sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: ada pengaruh aktivitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan sig sebesar 0,030, karena sig < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dengan persamaan regresi Y’ = 26,882+ 0,660X
IMPROVING STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICAL REPRESENTATION ABILITY THROUGH STUDENT WORKSHEETS: A CONTEXTUAL APPROACH ON THE TOPIC OF RELATION AND FUNCTION FOR EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 3 BATU AMPAR
This study aims to describe the increase in the mathematical representation ability by students with the application of contextual approach assisted by Students’ Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Siswa) on the topic of Relation and Function for the eighth grade students of Junior High School 3 in Batu Ampar (SMP Negeri 3). The method used is descriptive method with classroom action research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). The subjects were mathematics teachers and students of class VIII. Data collection techniques used are direct observation techniques with a data collection tool is the observation sheet teachers' ability to implementing the learning and observation sheet student’s abilities of mathematical representation. This research was conducted in 3 cycles, in which the results showed: (1) Increasing the capability of visual representation of the first cycle to the third cycle was 27.5%, (2) Increasing the ability of symbolic representation of the first cycle to the third cycle of 5%, and (3) Improving the ability of verbal representations from the first cycle to the third cycle of 37.5%
PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PRAKTIKUM KALKULUS INTEGRAL BERBASIS APLIKASI WXMAXIMA TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS
This study aims to determine whether there is difference and influence of Integral Calculus practical activity based on WxMaxima application on students concept comprehension ability. This research uses experimental method, with posttest only control design. Research data in the form of ability test comprehension concept of math given after practicum activity given during 8 times meeting. The data of the research were analyzed using the t-test to see whether there was a difference, and effect size to see the magnitude of influence. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is a difference of concept comprehension ability among students who follow Integral Calculus based on WxMaxima application with those who do not follow lab; (2) there is influence of the use of Integral Calculus practical module based on WxMaxima application to students' concept comprehension ability and magnitude of influence is high category.
SIKAP MAHASISWA CALON GURU TERHADAP REPRESENTASI FISIKA
Abstract Physics concepts can be represented in multiple ways such as verbal, diagrams, graphs, mathematical equations etc. Most previous research focused on drawing and utilizing representations to help students learn physics concepts. This study aims to investigate students’ views toward physics representations while solving physics problems by involving preservice physics teachers of two universities in Kalimantan Barat. A physics representation survey was developed to measure students’ perception about physics representations. The results show that the majority of the students (above 75%) agree that representations are beneficial for them to understand physics problems and physics concepts and also to find out the best solution of a problem. Some of the students say that they remain provide representations while solving a problem even though there is no extra credit given by instructors. Some of the students feel that they face impediment to grasp representations provided in some physcis text book.Keywords: physics representations, view
PENGARUH MEDIA SIMULASI KOMPUTER TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA PADA MATERI KINEMATIKAGERAK
AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using computer simulation media on learning outcomes of Physics in IKIP PGRI Pontianak ICT Education students. The population of this study is the 1st semester ICT Education students consisting of 2 classes totaling 79 students. Determination of the sample using Cluster Random Sampling technique, the sample used in this study is 1 class, namely class A Morning. The research method used is the experimental method. Learning outcomes data were taken using cognitive test instruments using multiple choice tests. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes before applied learning using simulation media amounted to 49.32 with a standard deviation of 14.45 and the average student learning outcomes after applied learning using simulation media amounted to 81.28 with a standard deviation of 14.63 . From the results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs test, Zhitung is 1,009 which is smaller than Zttable which is equal to 1,645. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after being given learning using simulation media on the material of motion kinematics. Thus, the use of computer simulation media on the material of motion kinematics can improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Computer simulation media, motion kinematics.
HUBUNGAN PEMANFAATAN TUMBUHAN PASAK BUMI (Eurycoma longifolia Jack.) SEBAGAI OBAT TRADISIONAL DAN BIOAKTIVITASNYA
Pasak bumi (Eurycoma longifolia Jack.) is a species belonging Simarobuaceae has been long used as traditional medicine, which known very well as aphrosidiac. The studies have been conducted to reveal the benefits of E. longifolia through ethnobotany, phytochemical, and bioessay approaches, but the review articles on the its utilization and bioactivity limited. This article is based on scientific articles published on line or off-line, then synthesized so that to be information the relationship between use and bioactivity. Ethnobotany of E. longifolia have been used as a medicine for fever, malaria, improve stamina, antimalarial, antidiabetic, anticancer, aphrodisiac, overcoming erectile dysfunction. Bioactivity of E. longifolia is antiosteoporotic, antimicrobial, aphrodisiac, anticancer, angiogenesis, and hepatoprotective. Eurycomanone has activity as an antimalaria, antipyretic, aphrodisiac, and cytotoxic. The quassinoids, coumarin and glycosides of El have activity increase the production, quality, totality, synthesis and release of spermatozoa. Eurycoma longifolia is very potential to be developed as an antiosteoporotic and aprosidiac drug, but until now most of it is harvested directly from the forest, so to preserve it, we need to study the cultivation method
STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS BIVALVIA PADA PERAIRAN PANTAI DESA DULLAH KECAMATAN DULLAH UTARA KOTA TUAL MALUKU
Bivalves include sludge animals scattered in coastal waters with sand and mud substrate. This study was to determined the structure of bivalves communities in the coastal waters in Dullah Village, Tual City. This study was conducted from December 2016 until March 2017 using plot method measuring 1x1 meter. This study was result found 576 individuals consisting of 4 orders, 10 families, 14 genus, and 15 species. The largest species are Anadara antiquata with total of 118 individuals and the least species are Mytilus sp with 1 individual. The structure of the bivalvia community in the coastal waters of Dullah Village is less stable because of its moderate diversity so that dominance is low. In the absence of dominating species, the fairness of bivalves is high
MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN ALAT PERAGA
Abstract The props are a tool or a complement that the facilitator (teacher) uses to interact with the students. This study aims to know and analyze the increase in activity and learning outcomes of students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak after learning by using props. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. Based on the result of data analysis from the preliminary test results obtained 3 students who are tuntasa (8.33%) and not complete 33 students (91.67%), while the initial activity of students is categorized active 12 Students (33.3%) and inactive 24 students (66.7%). In the first cycle, the average score of 62.97 with the complete category of 17 students (47%) and the unfinished categorization of 19 students (53%) and the active student activity were 26 students (72.2%) and the inactive 10 students (27 , 8%). Cycle II average score 64,53 with complete category of 20 students (55,6%) and categorize is not complete 16 students (44,4%) and active student activity is 32 student (88,89%) and who is not active 4 students (11.11%). While in cycle III the average score 82,28 with complete category 31 students (86,11%) and categorize is not complete 5 student (13,89%) with activity level of student active 100%. Increasing activity and result learn that happened Indicates that the teaching aids learning tools implemented according to the expected learning objectives.Keywords: props, activities, learning outcome
PEMURNIAN MINYAK GORENG BEKAS MENGGUNAKAN ADSORBEN BIJI ALPUKAT TERAKTIVASI
Abstract This research had been conducted in the use of avocado seed powder (Persea americana Mill) as an adsorbent to reduce peroxide and free fatty acids of the used cooking oil. The aim of this research was to determine the best activator of avocado seed powder as an adsorbent to reduce peroxide and free fatty acids of the used cooking oil. This research used the variation of activators, consist of hydrochloric acid (HCl), citric acid (C6H8O7), sodium chloride (NaCl) and sodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4) solutions. The result showed that the best activator of avocado seed powder by HCl which gave the highest free fatty acid reduction was 0,26%. Meanwhile, the best activator of avocado seed powder by C6H8O7 which gave the highest peroxide value reduction was 1,8 Meq/Kg . These results had qualified as the maximum limits of SNI cooking oil were 0.3% for the concentration of free fatty acids and 2 Meg/kg for the peroxide value of cooking oil.
