    本実践報告は、ベトナム人留学生の多くが問題意識を持っている発音を取り上げた発音指導の実践を記録したものである。発音練習では、「自己モニター力」を養うことを主な目的とし、分節音 (単音)の「聞き分け」と「言い分け」の練習を通して、独自の発音基準を作り、発音への意識を高めることによって学生自身による持続可能な練習ができるようになることを目指した。また、パソコンやスマートフォンなどの「音声入力」機能を利用し、発音の自主練習に有効かどうかも併せて検証した。本実践の結果、発音への意識が高まり、自己モニター力の養成という点では、ある程度の成果を得られた一方、発音の上達度や音声入力の有効性については、課題が残る結果となった。実践報告 / Report

    Building a related population through mutual assistance -Creating a place to hang out after school and the future in a few years-

    現在、日本の小学校は生徒数が減少し、球技をすることが難しいと言われている。また、放課後に遊びに行く場所なども治安の問題からも現象していると言われている。そのような中で、最初に、大学の学生が放課後の居場所つくりをはじめた。一緒に、球技をする際、人数が足りない部分に入って一緒に遊ぶ取り組みをしていた。次に、2023 年に5 年以上の取り組みとなり、一緒に遊んでいた小学生が中学生となって、大学生側のボランティアとして参加することとなった。このように、継続していく活動が新しい取り組みにつながっていく。では、第三の取り組みとして目指す先は何か。私たちは、新しく目指す先を見つけ、話し合い、今後の取り組みとしていきたいと考えている。Currently, the number of students in Japanese elementary schools is said to be decreasing, making it difficult to engage in ball sports. Additionally, due to safety concerns, the availability of places for children to play after school is also said to be decreasing. In response to this situation, university students first started creating after-school hangout spots. They initiated activities where they would join in to play when there weren't enough people for ball games. Subsequently, in 2023, after more than five years of effort, the elementary school children who had been playing together became junior high school students and began participating as volunteers on the university side. This ongoing activity has led to new initiatives. Now, what is the goal of the third initiative?     A Study of Educational Usefulness of Visiting Lectures by International Students - A Case Study of Kirameki Citizen’s College -

    In this paper, we use a case study of a delivery class in which international students acted as in structors to clarify what abilities international students developed through contact between them and local residents and through preparation for such contact. In addition, the educational usefulness of the delivery class by international students was examined by comparing the relationship between the delivery class by international students and their previous experiences with the local community and local residents.     Application of direct electric current to the corneal and conjunctival epithelia regulates the tight junction assembly for ocular iontophoretic drug delivery

    Objectives: In this study, we determined how iontophoresis (IP) affects tight junctions (TJs) in isolated rabbit corneas and conjunctiva. Methods: Direct electric current in the range of 0.5–2.0 and 0.5–10 mA/cm2 were applied to the cornea and conjunctiva, respectively, for 30 min. The localization and expression levels of TJ-associated proteins were assessed before and after the application of the electric currents using immunostaining and western blotting. Results: In both corneal and conjunctival epithelia, the localization of proteins, such as claudin-1, claudin-4, occludin, and ZO-1, was temporarily altered by anodal and cathodal IP; however, the protein relocalization was slower at higher currents. Additionally, in both anodal and cathodal IP, the expression levels of claudin-1 and occludin in the cornea and conjunctiva remained unchanged after the application of the electric currents compared with those before. Conclusion: Our results indicated that the application of a direct electric current temporarily regulated TJ assemblies without altering the levels of TJ-associated proteins in both the cornea and conjunctiva. This temporary weakening of the paracellular barrier by the current may be responsible for the enhanced drug transport across the cornea and conjunctiva induced by ocular IP.Research Article / This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the CC BY-NC 4.0 which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium for non-commercial use provided the original author and source are credite

    Octanol/water partition coefficient, log P, is an important parameter in classical QSAR. The new method using machine learning which we propose uses only the molecular orbital energy as an explanatory variable and does not include log P. Therefore, since the log P value can be predicted using the molecular orbital energy, we speculated that log P may not be necessary as a result if sufficient number of molecular orbital energies would be given as parameters.速
