Get PDFIn Japan, there is a system in place called 'Foods with Function Claims'. This system basically requires that if a food company wants to make a claim about the specific benefits of a foodstuff, it must be supported by scientific evidence. This is an important initiative for a wide variety of reasons. For instance, people taking foodstuffs that are not supported by scientific evidence might well decide not to take supplements with genuine benefits because they believe they are already taking adequate steps. To comply with the 'Foods with Function Claims' system, companies rely on the work of researchers to determine whether what they are claiming is supported by scientific evidence. Get PDF本稿では，ブラジルの 3段階における経済発展を通じて，日本企業がブラジルの産業集積に果たした役割を明らかにした。その結果，以下の点が明らかになった。 ブラジル政府主導による工業化政策の各段階で，日本企業はブラジル政府が求める産業分野において技術移転の役割を果たしたことである。 日本企業はブラジルを取り巻く環境変化に応じて，進出戦略を変えていることである。日本企業の対ブラジル投資は，国内市場確保から，メルコスル市場を対象とした輸出生産基地へと変化している。 ブラジルの経済発展ならびに日本の対ブラジル投資が，ブラジル大統領のリーダーシップによって大きく規定されていることである。ブラジル大統領による工業化政策の変更が，日本企業の経営戦略を変化させていったのである。本稿の意義は，ブラジルの経済発展に応じて，長期にわたり日本企業が果たしてきた役割を明らかにしたことである。This study analyzes the three-stage role Japanese firms have had in promoting industrial development in accordance with the industrial policies of Brazil.The results are as follows: （1）After the 1950s, when the Brazilian government adopted import substitute industrialization and export oriented industrialization, Japanese firms began technology transfer in the consumer products, and heavy industry; （2）Japanese firms adapted their investment strategies according to the environmental changes in Brazil; （3）Brazilian economic development and Japanese investment are regulated by the degree of leadership of each Brazil president
