Full text linkThe objective of this research is to get adeguate explanation and understanding to Indonesia-Malaysia relation in related to solving problem of the illegal workers. The method was using descriptive and qualitative. This study shows, that illegal workers was a serious problem which give impact to the Indonesia-Malaysia relations. In Malaysia contexs, its can be impact to the economy, social, security and etc. Nevertheless, Indonesian government must be take integrative and comprehensive program through good recruitment, regulation, advocation and administrative services

Full text linkThis paper is a result of a research on women in Panyingkiran Village (Karawang) and Ciherang Village (Purwakarta) of West Java-Indonesia who migrate internationally. Paradigm used in this research is Post-Positivism which integrates quantitative and qualitative methods. Primary data is collected through in depth interview and Focus Group Discussion. The result of the research shows that most of female migrants spend remittent from working in Saudi to buy land (dry land and paddy rice fields) of relatively small in size. Land is an interesting choice because: (1) female migrants come from poor families which are the lowest class in rural areas; (2) the livelihood of female migrants’ families are farm labors and landless farmers; (3) occupations of migrants before going abroad are farm labors, jobless and as house wife; (4) farm land is a social status symbol for rural communities; (5) land is a saving and land ownership is also a capital when one dies, and becomes a standard in the ritual of death ngamumule or mulasara

Full text linkThis research was conducted at Pengadegan, Pancoran under district, South Jakarta district. The goal is to find out people’s behaviour towards neighborhood that is often affected by flooding. The population is all households on Rt. 05, 06, 07, Rw. 01. The sampling technique is simple random sampling, 40 people were heads of households. The results of this study indicate that, people in the region already has a good behaviour because of behaviour related to the things they must do at home and their environment in case of flooding. There were 93,8% residents have good behaviour, while 6,2% of society do things that are not good because it does not make a purchase or supply of trash in the house

With regards to findings of the study, it can be concluded that in general, (1) the use of Cooperative Learning strategy has given higher achievement in learning Civics than that of Expository one; (2) the use of Cooperative Learning strategy with learners of field independent learning style has effect in the form of higher achievement in learning Civics than that of Expository one; (3) the use of Cooperative Learning strategy with learners of field dependent learning style has effect in the form of lower achievement in learning Civics than that of Expository one; and (4) there is interaction between the use of learning strategy and learner's learning style on learner's achievement in learning Civics

Full text linkThis research aims to understand the forms of identity, culture and traditions of Javanese descent community in Kampung Semarang, Dengkil, Selangor, Malaysia. The method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. The research showed that the various traditions or social organization that originates from Javanese culture, for the most part, still practiced by the local community. In the context of Malaysia’s plural society, Javanese subculture, especially in Kampung Semarang, has a substantial contribution in enriching the national culture of Malaysia. In reality, the development process that takes place rapidly has significant impact to the community in perpetuate their cultural identity
