Penggunaan Metode Classification And Regression Tree (CART) Dalam Mengklasifikasikan Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Penyakit Diabetes

Performance Analysis of Prediction Methods on Tokyo Airbnb Data: A Comparative Study of Hyperparameter-Tuned XGBoost, ARIMA, and LSTM

The rapid growth of the digital economy has increased the importance of accurately predicting Airbnb property occupancy rates, especially in dynamic and competitive markets such as Tokyo, Japan. Property owners face significant challenges in forecasting occupancy rates due to seasonal patterns, non-linear trends, and complex temporal dependencies within the data. Addressing these challenges, this study investigates the performance of ARIMA, XGBoost, and LSTM models in predicting Airbnb occupancy rates in Tokyo. The dataset is collected from Airbnb listings and includes relevant features such as location, price, customer reviews, and historical occupancy rates. The models were optimized using Grid Search for ARIMA and Random Search for XGBoost and LSTM to identify the best hyperparameter configurations. Evaluation metrics included Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Coefficient of Determination (R²), which are more appropriate for regression tasks. The results indicate that XGBoost achieves the highest R² (0.23), followed by LSTM (0.19) and ARIMA (0.03). However, the low R² values suggest that the models struggle to capture occupancy rate variations, indicating the potential influence of unmodeled external factors such as seasonality and policy changes. This study highlights the importance of hyperparameter tuning in improving prediction accuracy and contributes by providing an in-depth comparison of regression-based models for Airbnb occupancy forecasting

Development of E-LKPD ecology and biodiversity using PBL-SSI to enhance secondary students' environmental literacy

The lack of material in teaching materials related to the environment around students is one of the causes of low environmental literacy. This results in low student knowledge of environmental issues and solutions to these problems. Problem-based learning is an alternative solution for students to practice analyzing problems using a socio-scientific issues approach. The research on the development of E-LKPD Ecology and Biodiversity by integrating the PBL-SSI learning model aims to enhance secondary students' environmental literacy. The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, using a pre-experimental design with a group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SMP N 3 Bawang in class VII using a small-scale test with 9 students and a large-scale test with 120 students. The Role of Self-Acceptance and Self-Confidence in Quarter-Life Crisis Among Early Adulthood in Medan

The transition from adolescence to early adulthood involves various emotional and social challenges. This study examined the relationship between self-acceptance and self-confidence with quarter-life crisis among early adults in Medan. Using a quantitative design and purposive sampling, data were collected from 369 individuals aged 20–40 years through Likert-type psychological scales. Data analysis using multiple linear regression showed that both self-acceptance and self-confidence significantly correlated with quarter-life crisis (p < 0.05), with an R² value of 0.336. This indicates that the two variables explain 33.6% of the variance in quarter-life crisis. Higher self-acceptance and self-confidence were associated with lower levels of quarter-life crisis. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on internal psychological factors in an Indonesian urban context. These findings underscore the importance of psychological support programs in enhancing self-perception and resilience among young adults

From Home to Heart: Investigating the Mediating Role of Spirituality in the Relationship between Family Functioning and Character Strength

Previous studies have demonstrated that character strength significantly influences students’ future success, with the dimension of humanity being a central aspect of individual character. This study aimed to examine the relationship between family functioning and students’ character strengths, with spirituality serving as a mediating variable. Addressing a gap in existing literature, this research highlights the dual influence of environmental and internal factors in the development of character strength—whereas previous studies have predominantly focused on external determinants alone. A total of 317 junior high school students participated in the study by completing an online questionnaire. The instruments used included the Values in Action Inventory for Youth (VIA-Youth), the Aspects of Spirituality (ASP) Questionnaire, and the Family Assessment Device (FAD). Data were analyzed using JASP (Jeffrey’s Amazing Statistical Program). The findings revealed that spirituality significantly mediated the relationship between family functioning and character strength (β = 0.070, SE = 0.013, p < 0.001). Notably, the direct effect of family functioning on character strength (β = 0.158, SE = 0.023, p < 0.001) was lower than the total effect when the mediator was included (β = 0.228, SE = 0.024, p < 0.001). These findings underscore the importance of spirituality as an internal mechanism that promotes prosocial behavior and contributes to the development of students’ character strengths. Additionally, positive family functioning plays a foundational role in shaping students’ intrinsic values and moral dispositions. The implications of this study support efforts to strengthen human development policies and interventions aimed at fostering resilient and virtuous youth capable of adapting to future societal challenges

The research employs a quantitative approach utilizing a cross-sectional study design. The population for this study consists of honorary teachers who instruct at elementary and high schools in Central Java, with a minimum of five years of teaching experience and a willingness to participate as research subjects. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, which resulted in 384 participants. Data collection instruments included job satisfaction, work engagement, work motivation, resilience, and job stress scales. The results of the multiple regression analysis indicate a coefficient of determination (R) of 0.965, an F-value of 1301.778, and a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.001). Based on these findings, it can be inferred that work engagement, work motivation, resilience, and job stress collectively influence the job satisfaction of honorary teachers in Central Java. Furthermore, the study revealed that resilience contributes more significantly to job satisfaction than the other variables. Therefore, local government initiatives to improve job satisfaction among honorary teachers in Central Java should focus on various strategies, particularly by providing programs for adaptive skills development and problem-solving, such as stress management training, to bolster the resilience of honorary teachers in coping with working pressures
